As for me I prefer a more practicle family car, 4 wheel drive or people carrier.

Cars that have diesel engines can use veggie oil, and it can be done right away. Hybrids are just made to sound good, and car companies make a good bit of coin because of it.
Go get an old BMW and mix up some methanol.

On a episode of Top Gear (Brit car show) they raced a Lamborghini Murcielago and a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, and the Mit kept up with the Lamborghini the whole way!

As much as I love the big supercars, chances are slim I'll ever own one. (like most people)
I'm a fan of small sports cars, the Triumph GT6 in particular.

I have a wallpaper on my desktop with one of those and a Mercedes "Gullwing" 300SL siting right next to it.

I recently read that Dodge will be coming out with a new Challenger a couple of years from now. Maybe that will stop people from complaining about the Charger.

i don't know what the skyline's top speed is... probably ~180-190mph.

there are a couple of cars that could have been considered the fastest production cars ever, but were just never 'officially' tested. here's a couple off the top of my head...

Dauer 962 LM (est. top speed of 250mph)

3.0L Twin Turbo Flat-6
730 bhp @ 7400 rpm
517 lb-ft @ 5000 rpm

or Koenigsegg CCR (242+mph)

4.7L Supercharged DOHC V8
806 bhp @ 6900 rpm
678 lb-ft @ 5700 rpm

there are a lot of cars that could possibly take this title...

however, apart from the speed, this car is terrible

What is the top speed with the Veyron? I didn't know that the had broken the record yet.



I knew that as soon as the Soltice came out that someone would try that. If the suspension handles well, then it's great. If not, then it is just another drag car.

I generally like the smaller sports car, so I really Like the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky.

the civic has ran a best of 13.1 @ 115 mph and the evo ran a 12.8 @ 108mph. now the evo has a better tune and cams...

...he was pissed he couldn't bust out a 12 second run. he was actually spinning (awd) through 1st gear. it was a bit too cold maybe.
