Hey WannabeSkeptic is this the answer you seek from me? If it is, the answer is this: I AM stating that at the end of the day all that really matters is for each individual to know and to be comfortable in knowing who they are within themselves, and to praise themselves for it. (Not you specifically, but each and every person in the world who is honest and able to seek and find their own truth within).

Not really the answer I was seeking, but a good one, nonetheless. What you say is true, and I wholeheartedly agree. Tis a weekend of miracles, I tells ya.

Basically, I believe that only you can help yourself. You can't rely on anyone else for happiness, prosperity, whatever. Often, the simplest things are the source of true happiness and contentment. Problem is, a lot of people tend to look more at the big picture and miss the ordinary everyday miracles (for lack of a better term-I've not had enough coffee yet). I really hate to say, "Stop and smell the roses", but it is true. Only when you're content within your own skin will you be able to progress in a positive and constructive manner.

No we are not really that different, we just disagree on the "Big Boss" deity, otherwise we are "Western" men and women sharing a common history and background. We should be able to agree with much, our outlooks (where not skewed by religion and generation) are probably very similar.

You're probably right my friend. I have always appreciated your honesty, respected your opinion, and like the fact that you let me say how I feel without responding in a negative way. I wish there were more people who felt the same way.

I look forward to talking more to the people on this forum and discussing such matters. I'm always up for good conversation.

I will tell you when you are wrong (historically) and I will tell you when I disagree with you, but I won't tell you what to believe and I won't laugh at you (well not too much anyway and never in a sarcastic way). I respect quite a few of my "opponents" (although you wouldn't think so during our debates) and consider most to be friends and comrades.
