Howdy. Apart from the fact that there are other Derek Acorah threads here, didn't you post something almost exactly like this a couple of days ago? I can't find it, so I'm assuming it's been deleted or merged by the mods. De ja vu? Or maybe I really can tell the future.

Because he is a great genuine person!!! And he is not fake...Everything he does is great!!!

Fine if you like the guy a lot... seems more like a teenage crush to me, albeit a tad obsessive.

The show has been proven fake, it was in the news recently as being completely set-up and staged.

When you get older you may start to see things with less rose-tinted spectacles.

The guy is a conman and his show has been proven to be fake, everything is set up and staged like a theatre production. I can't see any logical reason why this thread is still here as there seem to be a few discussions on Derek going already?

I remember reading an article on this. Specifically how the English seem to be so much more obsessed with stars and VIP's than any other country. David Beckham was their case-study, but I guess it could apply to Derek Acorah too.

two words; photos. fake. do not necessarily read them in that order.

he's not a geuine person, he IS a genuine fake.
and everthing he does is not so great, for instance he's not a great actor, cause everyone can see he's faking.
and if he dresses himself, the there's another thing he's not so good at.
when you come out of your delusion, i would be happy to discuss why the man and the show is a con.

The Mirror may have made that one mistake and the guy that printed the fake pics was fired, and I don't think The Mirror would want all of the same hassle all over again, besides from what I have read, it's not just the Mirror that have printed these claims

very true!!! When i say things i dont meen for people to get affended by them i am just sticking up for derek because i am his fan...say someone admired the lead singer from a band and people were called him ugly they would stick up for him even if he was ugly...and this situation is the same! Sorry to anyone i have offended!

Sasha, if Derek isn't fake than can you explain the incidents in which he has been CAUGHT and PROVEN to be cheating?

Just because he didn't push your friend into cheating doesn't mean he never has. Think about it, the pressure of coming up with acurate and interesing information each time for Most Haunted, even if he is a genuine medium, would become hard to deal with, what if there was little spirtual activity, viewers don't want to hear about a little housewife who had a relatively boring, simple life.

I think Derek does have some ability, but I do believe he has cheated, on more than one occasion, due to the evidence stacked against him. If the allegations are untrue where is press statement or explaination to show he didn't cheat?

yes actually, and i havent met him yet but i will be meeting him in 15 days and my good friend grown up with derek and they both went to the same spiritualist church together so get your facts right about derek...and i do know stuff about derek i know quite alot about him!

If you know so much about him why can't you answer my questions? I also find that extemely rude, you can take the time to reply but can't say anything constructive.

Prove he hasn't cheated then I will believe his is genuine.

So far you are just ranting, "I know Derek is geuine, my friend knew him", if that is the only response you have I don't think I even believe you know someone who knew him.

You also say KNEW him, how do you know he hasn't changed, and the pressure of needing to entertain people hasn't forced him to cheat on occasions?

Piper there is nothing that any one of us could say that would make Sasha change her views on Derek, and I know you are not trying to get her to do so, you are after all pointing out a few obvious things to her.
The questions you are asking have put her on the spot, because she doesn't want to think anything negative about him, therefore chooses not to answer. She knows if she where to answer, there is no evidence she could use to prove her point, so it's best to let her be

But you have to remember she is just a kid, and as I cast my mind back that far (without sounding too old ) I too used to believe in a number of things I saw on tv, and like I said before, years passed and when I looked back I was able to have a good laugh about it all.

Sasha will sooner or later snap out of it, so in the mean time, I think it's best to let her keep believing

Derek Acorah has let a lot of people down. Keiren O Keiffe was right to expose him to the Daily Mirror as a psychic fraud - and his Bodmin Jail 'possession' by a psuedo South African jailer Kreed Kafer - juggle the words - and you get Derek
Faker. (Fed to him unknowingly via one of the crew - but devised as a carrot test by Mr O' Keiffe, Parapsychologist)

I feel dismayed and let down by his self-defacing exit from Most Haunted. There is little doubt though that he memorised dates and facts prior to appearing in episodes of most haunted - and got them badly confused and wrong on occasions. It's sickening that Derek Acorah can stoop so low as to defraud life after death and spirituality. Lets hear what you've got to say Derek Acorah - there's a lot of unanswered questions.

Does anyone here see any reason to keep this thread open? In going through it, all I see is the same thing said over and over again; it doesn't appear that anyone is going to be changing their opinion anytime soon.

Unless someone has any reason to keep this going, I think that there are plenty enough derek threads for sasha to post in...

I requested 2 pages ago to close this thread.. we already have 2/3 Derek discussions going.
