May 19: The Da Vinci Code

July 7: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

May 4(07): Spider-Man 3

Jun(07): Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Summer(07): Pirates of the Caribbean 3

*for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: "The fifth book is coming but no news yet on if the original trio of kids will remain in the roles or if the producers will do a reset with younger actors."

If they keep making movies once a year or (at most) every 18 months, they should still be young enough to play their roles.
JennRose
They are already filming the Order of the Phoenix with the same group. There's no reason they can't finish out playing these characters. As has been said on here countless times, a film part has never HAD to cast someone the EXACT age of the character; it's not the kids will be 35.
foxmulder27
I really hope that Mr. M. Night. Shyamalan gets back into making the classic scary kind of stuff like Signs and the Sixth sense. I think The Village bit the dirt in my opinion.

Battle Angel Alita! Eventually. Erm......hopefully. crying.gif

Some directors (including Peter Jackson and Gorge Lucas) are working on a 3D system that will be used in theatres by 2007.

QUOTE
New technologies are coming that will allow current 2-D films to be remastered into 3-D using proprietary procedures. George Lucas has announced that he will re-release his Star Wars films in 3-D based on a conversion process from the company In-Three. James Cameron (Titanic) will shoot his new film Battle Angel 2007 in digital 3-D. The following animation films are scheduled for upcoming release: "Chicken Little" Nov 4, 2005, followed in a few months by "Monster House" "The Ant Bully" and "Happy Feet". These are all animation based and will either release in digital in a few hundred theaters along with a 2D release or in IMAX 3D along with regular 2D 35mm. Both digital and IMAX are quite costly ways of showing 3D. Another approach being proposed is the upgrading of existing 35mm to show 3D with a six perf pull-down in the projector. Advocates of this, CINE 160 3D, point to 10 to 1 cost savings and proven results with film. (The film image is 1.6 times the conventional frame size.)

In late 2005 Steven Spielberg told the press he was involved in patenting a 3-D cinema system that does not need glasses, and is based on plasma screens. A computer splits each film-frame, and then projects the two split images onto the screen at differing angles, to be picked up by tiny angled ridges on the screen. (Spielberg is co-producer of the film "Monster House".) Even episodic TV series are embracing 3D, as NBCs "Medium" hits the home HD screens in 3D in late November 2005.

^There is certainly a lot of sequels there!
Paranoid Android
^^^THat's because they've got no ideas left to make new movies, so they're just rehashing the old ones tongue.gif thumbsup.gif
_hAiLO_
^^^^^Instead of rehashing old movies, they could just take ideas from books, revitalize storys we read with words and put it into moving pictures we see. I would really like to see them make a movie out of 'Angels and Demons', or other very good books.

Or, they could just take ideas from books and stitch in their own imaginative situations and characters grin2.gif

I'm very picky about movies remaining true to the source material. Mysterious Island has been made into a movie three times already, and each time the story is "improved" with giant insects and random events. mad.gif
I would truly be happy to have a version that actually resembles the book.
In general, I would like to see more of Verne's books adapted (faithfully) into movies.
He wrote a lot of neat books, that most people don't even know about.

Their ideas don't have to be directly similar to the original, if thats what you thought I said hmm.gif . I meant that ideas, very distinct allusions to other peoples way of portraying something, and someone else can take that way or idea and put it into their own course of theatrical representation.

If not, then we owe Shakespeare a whole lot more credit than we think.

no.gif MGM did consider making a Jinx movie at one point. Jinx was Halley's character in Die Another Day, who made and already poor movie worse.

I'd like to see a Catwoman movie made 10 years ago starring Michelle Pfeiffer reprising her role from Batman Returns thumbsup.gif

But we'd have to go back in time to do that alien.gif

I have looked for a thread on Flight Plan and couldnt find it so I may as well add my coments here...!

Plot Outline: A claustrophobic, Hitchcockian thriller. A bereaved woman and her daughter are flying home from Berlin to America. At 30,000 feet the child vanishes and nobody admits she was ever on that plane (taken from IMDB) and I thought it was excellent, so if any of you like a mystery check out Flight plan thumbsup.gif
