Boxer Bug, you need to either wipe the harddisks, or go into start/programs/accessories/system tools/ system resotre/ then you can reload your comp, from how it was before you got the bug, BUT it will also delete any programs you had after the date that YOU choose.

My wife had this problem. I googled it many times, followed all the steps, but in the end, had to do a reformat. T'was the first bug that ever beat me. It's a bad one. Just google it, you can supposedly fix it without the reformat, but for some reason, I couldn't.

By the way, my wife had a winfixer problem. Is that what you meant? Or is there something called windfixer also. I think winfixer is just a nasty spyware thing that takes over and does things to your computer at any given time.

I've come accross that spyware before in work.

Most of these programs I mention you should be able to find at download.com.

Download and run HijackThis. When running create a log file. Then go to hijackthis.de and paste the logfile in the box and press analize. Delete all of the "nasty" through HijackThis.

Download and run Adaware, Spybot S&D, Spyware Doctor, Spysweeper.

That should easily get rid of the problem.
