I've just downloaded the google earth satelite thingy on my PC.........I've spent the last 10 minutes looking in hotel car parks in Los Angeles and NY.......Cool.
Now i want to have a look at area 51 for myself .....I know its around Las Vegas but can anyone give me specific(ish) directions as to where ?
Is it North South ETC ?
Thanks

You'd think they would be banned for locating miltary facilities on the map

i actually downloaded that program and straight after seeing if my car is outside my house, i went to find area 51, but if u notice not all the map is availiable in great detail and its most probable that that (that that that that) part isnt in detail

I did this, I found it too, I forgot what it's called but you click it and you can see area 51 and 2 other places, area 51 isn't a big deal zoom up you don't see anything, it's just buildings.

I know for a fact they have so much more advanced programs than this. Yet they won't release it to the public.

well if its true i want it, i only want to see my car from space. and then possibly some kool landmarks. i only have little interest in government facilities, especially those from america (god forsaken county, no offence). id rather just look at things, with google earth at the mo i zoom right out and then "orbit" the earth, it looks kool.

yeah, obvisually only for use by the government and army. but thats to be expected, makes it easier for federal agencies to get a look at something about to go off and such, and also for the army so they know where to click their triggers.

Well, the area is used for various kinds of military exercises, so having an airbase built to fly missions against is not that weird really.
