Daughter of the Nine Moons
Fo the last few nights, I keep losing my connection to xbox live. It seems to be primarily with one game but maybe with another as well.

I have the standard xbox live /DSL set up using a router to connect my high speed modem, computer and xbox to the internet.

I called my ISP and they said the signal was fine. I also know that am not losing the connection to the internet as I am staying connected to MSN on my computer.

On my modem the "enet" light which is suposed to be solid is blinkng in and out at times.

I'm going to try swapping out all 3 cat 5 cables. I am borrowing cables from work to test it before I go out and buy replacements.

Can anybody else give me any ideas?

Gollo, thank you! I had a look at those sites and have book marked them for future reference. I think I might have resolved the problem. Yesterday morning I disconnected the router, modem and shut off the comp and xbox. When I came home after work, I connected everything and when I played last night I didn't get disconnected. I will see if its still ok tonight.

thats what happened to me, all you must do is disconnect the cables while the xbox is off, then turn it on, and reconnect, then get on live, it resets the configuation

Looks like everything is resolved. I have not been disconnected again. Hurray!
