Do you feel emotions, illness, or energy from people? If you als feel this too then yeah I know about it.
I am empathic which allows me to feel and know certain things about total strangers and people I know. It is a gift that I now embrace and accept as a part of who I am. I am proud to be the person that I am today no matter if is good or not I will not let life get me down anymore.

I believe that we all get these feelings from time to time, if not all the time, even though we are not entirely conscious of them. It's part of our make-up and explains "love at first sight" and "instant dislike". All animals receive "first impressions" of others based on body language, smell, behaviour, eye-movement and even gait. It is part of the defense mechanism that is in-built in every animal including humans. I think some might call this "instinct" although personally I think instinct is more concerned with such survival mechanisms as the sea turtles's newly hatched young's making a bee-line for the sea to escape predators. I don't think there is any "sixth sense" involved in your "feelings". Of course one cannot entirely trust first impressions. We may be mistaken and first impressions have to be supplemented by further information. That's the way I see it. Lonecat

I know what you mean. When my brother brought his current girlfriend to meet the family I didn't feel very comfortable around her. The second time I met her she was more relaxed and we now get along fine. I think I was just picking up on her nervousness and fear of meeting us for the first time.

Hi *Pandora*
I am sorry that in reply to your fourth post on this Forum you have been met with such a statement as "You dont have a sixth sense.. GET OVER IT!!" Unfortunately we have to wade past those that are very nieve and listen to those only that have something descent and intelligent to say.
I hope this sort of Welcome to UM has not put you off your search to find the truth as there is so much to be seen with open eyes

There are so many others that can relate to your question and am sure you will find them in due time

Pandora, the first event which made me think that I too may have a 6th sense was when I was 12 years old, a friend of mine started to tell both my brother and I about a weird dream he had. He started it, but the strangest thing was....that I ended his story. I could see it clearly in my mind and explained to him in detail, colours, location and the storyline. Other events have happened throughout my life, but they are trivial compared to my first.
Keep having positive thoughts because you may have a 6th sense.

I have somethin' like that, except it's more like I'm watching T.V., I think of a word, and BAM! Someone says that word. And I agree with the Gaydar theory, Peako.

What do you call it when a person can sense someone will lose her leg due to illness before she even ends up in the ER three days later?

For me or my sister? Because I knew before she had a doctor look at her and I knew exactly what was causing it and I am no Doctor.

Yeah and it was upsetting because my sister did end up losing her leg and they took it three inches above her knee too. But I accept it now and do not care who believes me because I know it is real.

Sounds like you had a premonition. Have you ever considered developing your skills, maybe at a spiritualist church?

I had not thought of it as a premonition before how interesting. Well unfortunately there is not a spiriutalist church around where I live although I am a practicing Spiritualist. I do however try to use meditation as tool to help me with my gift but it would be nice to have someone help me use it better to help others. Thank you for the insight it was welcomed.

As I will say once again - some things can be proven scientifically, some cannot.
As with psychic abilities, a sixth sense can also be insticnt from our animal nature. To sense danger is our key, and to sense a feeling in someone that you are uncomfortable with is common. It's happened to me many times before where I'll be really afraid to go to sleep one night and the next morning something terrible happens. It's just your mind bouncing back and forth trying to warn you of something - if you really are psychic, try and listen to what your body and mind tell you and develop your skill if you can. The mind is beautiful, and it is always a gift to have.

I know that there are some things that can be proven and some that cannot. What happened with me and my sister was very real and when she did lose the leg that was my proof. I did not want that kind of proof of my gift and I for one do not claim to be pyschic just empathic. For me they are two different things but that is my personal opinion and for me it does not matter who believes me or not. You as a individual must decide what to believe in this life I cannot nor will I did it for you.

Sometimes I have deja bu. Gets more and more common if u practice with psi. I recomend making psi balls. I began a while ago. Now I get deja bu normally. I also feel sick on days before injury sometimes. The day before I broke my finger and had a cast covering it(making it anoying to type this) I felt head aches, stomach pain, nausea and all that. But the way my parents are I went to school and had my finger broken and twisted out of place.
I think if u try psi balls, dont be dissappointed if you dont succeed instantly. It takes days for some people years for others. I also think pendling is good for answering questions. It got me 10/10 right!
sorry put sixth sense instead of psi

Well Pandora,,,you can rest assured that I am a perfectly straight man, NOT EVEN CLOSE to being bisexual or gay. So, IF you ever got those feelings about ME, then it would be certain that you have ABSOLUTELY NO psychic abilities whatsoever!
NONE!!!
ZILCH!!!
ZERO!!!
You'd be TOTALLY DEVOID of any psychic powers AT ALL!!!
However, I believe that everyone is psychic to a certain degree and you probably are too...
