Hrmm. What about Ogopogo, isn't that a Nessie-like crypid that frequents Ontario's great lakes?

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up.
I'm sure the great lakes have some silly monster. Every large body of water has a monster in it that no one can prove actually exists.

ontario, it seems to me like a white wolf wouldnt be all that abnormal. you are in canada after all. i have seem alot of white wolves in canada and it definately seems plausible that one or a couple could be in canada. any way i hope i helped some how. i'm not sure about the ogopogo thing but burnside was right about the lakes we really dont know whats in them unless we drain the entirety of the lakes. which i think would be interesting to see what we come up with if we ever (not saying that its realistic) drain the loch ness. any who... that would be funny we drain the loch ness and every crypid known to man would be chilling in there its like
"hey look its nessi,"
"what the hell, is that big foot?"
"a tazmanian tiger i must be tripping!"
wtf?

I cant believe no one heard of the ontario white wolf? well they say it is just like the Waheela. I know when you think about it wolves are found In ontario and a monster white one would be totally believable which is why I am trying to get to the bottom of this. Like why it is considered a cryptid? ANd who has seen it? ANY sort of information would be great

so what are you trying to say? that there is some huge ass white wolf in ontario? seems believable and i do believe it some times we think of wolves being the size of a german shepard when in actuality they are the size of new foundlands. maybe if someone can produce a picture i would be able to see if its a monster or just another white wolf.

There are many sighting of Bigfoot like beasts in Northern ontario, Hudson bay lowlands by aboriginal people in those areas. There is one historical report in the book, History of the North Channel and St. Mary's river; of the voyagers sighting a water serpent and shooting at it with their muskets. I've never heard of the White Wolf, is is albino like the three white moose that were killed last year up in northren Ontario? Have you ever heard of the Ojibwe Windigo? Hope this helps.

[font=Courier New]Perhaps it is how we see the ontario white wolf, as a monster, that makes us think it is rare and new. When infact it might be just another white wolf, as Sibyll has commented. or maybe it is just as you say, a monster.

I have some friends that i stay will in coe hill ON. they have a pack of wolves that cross over their land a lot, and the alpha male is large and white. I don't think he is a monster though, it would be cool if he was.

i think what burnsey may be thining about is "mussie" a serpentine creature spotted in muskrat lake.
muskrat lake is in the town on cobden, off hwy 17 nothwest of ottawa by about 125kms.
there has been something spotted there in the past, and the link i provide mention muskrat lake.
that would be the nearest cryptoid to me.
