Well down under there are now competitions to win the X-BOX360 so maybe we wont be waiting that long, but X-BOX fans down here shouldn`t get their hopes up just yet.

but either way i don't see why we should have to wait here in australia, its not like its a thing to do with regions (PAL,NTSC) if the UK can get it, then theres no reason we shouldn't get it

but also we will be paying way to much as by the time it goes on sale here, there would of been a bit of a price drop yet we are paying full price

^Well the Austrlian market matters little to Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft as its just so small.The US, Asian and and European markets are where they can make the money so Australia is just about always pushed down to the bottom of the list.

At least in Austraila you have rear-wheel drive cars with V8 engines. In the US we have crappy front-wheel drive Monte Carlos.

cant you guys in other countries, apparently austrailia being one of them, just go to bestbuy.com or something and buy a 360 if ou want one ?

or hell if it's that important to you to have one and the wait will be that long couldnt you find someone in the states to buy one for you and just mail it to you maybe 10%-20% above cost for S/H ?

(and here 10% above cost is only about $50. i wouldnt call that a huge mark up if i got to the store then wrap the damn thing, then mail it to you around the world)

hey guys well apparently i heard on the news that the xbox 360 is being recalled due to overheating now it might be a rumor but i just thought i would ask if its true

the situation on xbox 360 malfunctions is as follows!:

about 150 xboxs have been reported malfunctioning.
THIS IS NORMAL. this has and will always happen to systems at thier launch.
especially when you compare 150 malf. to 1.7 mil. sold so far.

Usually, companies in America allow online purchases strictly in that country. If there are Bestbuys in Australia, then there is a chance they can order one from the net because they would have local Bestbuys.
Now this is a rumor, and I only read it in this one site, and I hope someone can confirm or comdemn this, but Microsoft has set Regional XBox's for a reason. Why? Its because those XBox's work in that region only, and will not work on other regions except the one region its sold in. I think its because people in different regions use different types of technologies for their XBox, but I am very unsure. I'll try to find in the internet where I got that information, so don't rely too much on my statements
