Seriously, when psi is concerned, what evidence do we have?
We have a bunch of teenagers saying that their fingers tingle.
I can make my finders tingle too. It's just blood.

I don't even know why we have a whole forum on this, because it's blatantly obvious we aren't going to find reasonable evidence any time soon. What's even worse is that we have a sub-forum for believers only, where they can brag about their 'abilities'. I don't see the point. They know they are lying, everyone else knows they're lying. It's just pointless.

Okay, enough ranting from me, please stats your opinions.
However, if you try to explain your experiences here, without suitable information and fact, you will only be laughed at.

There is absolutely no credible evidence that any of this is real.None.

The section is for Metaphysics, Astrology and Psychic Phenomena not just kinesis.

It seems that way because a lot of people with interesting points were driven off by rude and ignorant others.

If you don't like the sub-section why bother reading it, free will no one makes you.

"Interesting points" are different from person to person, I find some areas of the psychic section interesting others I don't waste my time reading.

An example may be you like football Bio-Mage ( it's an example only), I find it boring and pointless. Do I get on football threads and carry on like an immature brat?

I find this offensive by calling people blind believers you insinuate that they are stupid and closed minded, living with the fairies. It's a term often used by skeptics when they haven't got anything else to say in their defence, SFS.

Ed if you've read all the posts, you'd realise I am on topic and have been mainly talking about this above paragraph.

Replacement asked about psi, and I pointed out this forum isn't just about that. Maybe you should go back and read it all.

Flaming, once again read it all. Some of the terms and wording used are aimed purely at belittling believers..SFS.

I keep an open mind about everthing, I believe that it is more healthy to do so, than to totaly deny any posibilities, as you are then denying yourself.

since when has there been major scientific proof for ANYTHING in this entire forum? if there was such proof, these things wouldn't be UNEXPLAINED, would they?

if you're going to bash one particular part of the forum, you're being completely hypocritical. why is there a section on religion? what proof do we have that any religion is real? i believe there is less proof of religion than there is of psychic abilities. why do we have a section on ghosts? many posts on there involve claims of mediumship, which is also a psychic ability- amazingly, though, i don't see people asking for proof of that. i have yet to see solid proof for anything on this forum, so until you can dig up proof for every other post in every other section, you have no right to harp on this section.

the only way we can have civil conversations on this forum is by respecting eachother's beliefs. i personally believe that religion is full of crap, but i don't sit there and make fun of those who do believe in religion. that's their choice. i challenge it, but i don't stoop so low as to immature jokes and tease them.

perhaps those of you who visit this section and then complain about it need to realize that YOU are the ones that choose to click on the threads. YOU choose to read them. if you want to complain to someone about how this is wasting your time, complain to yourself.

You bring up a very good point here Tia, but I do completely disagree with the suggestion you are putting foward.
Sometimes, not all the time obviously, but sometimes, telling 13 year olds that these abilities don't exist and then demonstrating why i.e. no proof apart from poorly put together videos on psipog..., sometimes changes their point of view.
No, it doesn't demoralise them or destroy them as people, but it provides another point of view that internet sites on psi or whatever, don't.

Not all people on this forum do this, I don't, but it is constructive to make people look for proof and sense in things rather than just letting people carry on taking the words of a site like psi pog as 'word of God', to to speak.

I agree to a certain extent about the powers of psi Ed, but this thread was started as a loosely based assumption of the whole psychic section.

i have no problem whatsoever with people giving alternative explanations and/or debunking theories, but there is absolutely no need to make fun of them. you think kids don't get enough of that at school? when they come online to show someone what they think is really cool, and then get made fun of, it's not going to do much for their self-esteem. a friendly explanation and some constructive criticism will do far more for them than cracking jokes about their age, ignorance, and immaturity will.

There have also been threads started by believers that consisted of loosely based assumptions of anyone who doesn't believe in or plays devils advocate when talking about psi.
Both sides do it, I vaguely remember a hate thread and a couple of threats as well.
It probably would be best if this kind of fighting stopped, keep it as flame free as possible.
