It looks and sounds like GTA in the Wild West. Has anyone got the game???

I haven't played it yet, but I think the game looks great. I definately gotta play it. It has an amazing voice cast too. Although, I didn't think it sounded like GTA at all.

Haven't played it yet. I was wondering if someone could give me some firsthand info.

I bought it but took it back a week later to exchange it for half life 2.I didnt think it was that great,its just like Red dead revolver with a few side missions.
I thought it would be a wild west version of GTA but nope,it was quite repetitive and a lil boring really.
The exitement of blowing peoples brains out fades after about an hour.
6.5 outa 10.

I bought it about a week ago, to be honest I expected it to be better. I completed the game in 3days spending a few hours a night after work on it. The game is pretty nice to play but I found it sort of repetitive and the story not very interesting. It’s a good game but its nothing fantastic.

I haven't played it but I read a few reviews and got the impression that generally it looks cool but doesn't last very long. A few good hours of play and most decent gamers will have completed it.

For the money you shell out for games these days you really expect more for your cash, if I decide to buy it I'll get a 2nd hand one of eBay, if it's that easy to complete it won't be long before loads of gamers will be selling their copies.

This game is amazing.
So much content that litrally puts you in the drivers seat right away.This guy Colton has his life and the man who thinks is his father torn away from him and he is hell bent on revenge.
Along the way he meets tons of awesome characters and evil doers that litter the landscape.
Intense action sweet voice-overs and some very cool well placed gore.It's not total GTA but the "world" you ride arouind in is quite big.
The scenery that surrounds you is very astounding and is very well done.
The only bad part of the game is that it's to shooting oriented if your playing the story.
You can do tons of side missions that involve hearding calves,playuing texas hold-em,hunting down wanted criminals,hunting animals for an indian hunter.

Now as i said before with the gore there is some very extreme violence in it, becuase there is a knife you can buy called the scalping kinfe.So that if you shott someone and they fall but arn;t dead yet you can go up to them and scalp them while they scream in agony.It's an intensly brutal game with people getting ears cut off teeth ripped off by pliers and fingers shot off all in very intense FMV's which give you many a sick angle to watch the gore.

A definate buy for any old west lover.

Gun is a hot game that was released this year and its a cool action game, I dont own it yet but I have played it and I was satisfied with the graphics and the levels you have to do.

I just got Gun this morning from GameFly. Looks awesome from the screenshots Gfly had on the website.

from what i hear though, it's pretty easy to beat and relatively short. happy im renting games now instead of blowing $50 on every game that looks cool but is too easy....

There are some missions that are quite hard.
But for the most part it's easy and way to short.
But it's open-ended so even after you get 100% completetion you can still ride around the world and kill bandits.

Right now, I'm stuck on the bridge mission in Dodge City. Can't seem to kill all the Indians without getting killed myself. Sometimes, it's hard to see the bad guys, and I get shot up pretty bad. My accuracy with the pistol is pretty good, though.

That's quite close to the begginging to the game you have much fun left which includes going all the way to Empire city the dirrtiest of the dirrty scoundrels are there.

boring, it took me 11 hours to complete it 100%. get matrix path of neo, one of the best games ever

The game is not boring but it is easy to complete 100%.
Neo is much better but not for gunning.

OMG it's not a GTA clone by any means.
The game has an ending and once you get 100% completetion unline in GTA the game sucks.
Nothin about this game is GTA by any means it's just an old west game that has a free-roaming map.

As far as I know, it's made by Neversoft (the guys behind Tony Hawk). Am I right?

Well I take it back, I have played it recently and grudgingly have to say its pretty fun. Heh.

Plus if there was any GTA in it why wouldn;t they put anyone on the horses so that you can pull them off and steal the horse?

I've gotten agravated with it. Seems like there are too many parts of a mission. Toomany things to do to accomlish a given mission.
I loved GTA. But I'm a little disappointed. And free roaming? I've only been able to wander a short distance.

When can you start making money off scalps collected?

You can scalp people but you can;t make money off of them nor can you look at scalps collected nor deos it even keep track.
But you can make money off of ransoms and off of mining gold.

So what good are scalps????? How come you can buy a scalping knife, but it doesn't do you any good?

Well the things you buy in the game are quite cheap.
The scalping knife i bought first because it was cool to watch people squirm and scream while i scalped them.Pluss you get to see the brain on most of the people afterwards.

OK. But what's with the scalping???? You get points? Money????
You can't melee with the knife. Why buy a scalp knife, if it doesn't help you??? I've scalped a bunch of bad guys, but what do I do now??? You mean I can't sell them?

Nope you can;t do anything with them.

But its cool!

Oh, great!!!! This is really starting to aggravate me. This game isn't what I thought it was gonna be. Guess I got spoiled playing GTA.
