Hey guys, my names kevin and I live in massachusetts. Im 14 but most of the events took place awhile ago.
Anyway I live with my dad grandma and grandpa in a fairly populated neighborhood relatively close to a main road. However west(I think) is a less populated area which leads to a woodland that takes up 50 or so sq miles, though theres other woods arounnd it, an apartment complex is on one side of it aswell. on another side is a small and usually vacant factory, which I don't know what goes on there.
When I was 11 I already had some experiences with weird things, my aunt claimed to have been possessed at one point(though she's a wacko so Im not sure if that counts), and seen shadons(aka shadow monsters).
One morning I woke up early at 4 am or so, I went to grab a drink and realized my dad was in the backyard(I could see him through the glass screen on my back porch). When he came inside I asked what he was doing. He said he was listening to a sound that sounded very weird, like a womans scream crossed with an animals howl coming from Dennisons(the factories) direction that had awoken him. I sleep with the fan on so I did'nt hear it at that time and thought nothing of it. Two nights later I awoke to the worst sound I ever had heard. I wish I could describe it well though the best I can do is this: A wail of a woman who is being tortured, it seems mournful, angry, and like a howl of an animal, probally closest to a wolfs. Although I know most people would want to hear after reading that I sure did'nt then. I turned all the lights on and wrapped myself in blankets. Each wail lasted a minute or so and they would start up again randomly untill about 5 am. In the morning I called Matt, my good friend and the first thing from his mouth was that he had heard the weirdest noise, I said I had too. No one else in my family but my grandma had heard it this time and passed it off as a WILD TURKEY

Me and Matt contacted our friends to see who else heard it, a surprising amount had and one was a friend who lived next to the wood in the condo complex. He said he was sure it came from the woods(which are also known as pig pen). We agreed to go to the woods and look around but as it turned out none of us had the balls. About 7 months later after the cries started up again. We were 12-14 at this point and decided to go for a look in the woods. We went in on bikes and stayed for about 3 hours. We did'nt find anything except a dead squirrel and a trashed bike. We had gone in the day at noon.
We decided to go on foot if we went again. From then on every night we heard something we would go on a hike and scour portions of pig pen. We found various dead animals but thats to be expected, especially considering they were small. Basically for a year on and off we went and found nothing, but we knew those noises were'nt coming from nowhere.
One night I was sleeping and I awoke to the crunch of leaves under feet. Then, RIGHT in my backyard I heard that terrible wail, and everyone in my house woke up. My grandpa grabbed a gun and everyone crowded around the glass at the porch. whatever it was had begun dashing around the house making that terrible noise all the while. I did'nt scare easy but this was utterly terifying to the point of being crippling. My grandpa opened the glass door and turned the light on. The thing passed by VERY fast and I saw a grey, apparently muscled leg, it had another obviously but I only saw its left. It appeared, though only its leg was in the light, to be similar to a man, and stand oddly straight for travelling at such a speed. My grandpa and I were the only ones who saw it and he was so shocked he did'nt shoot or even remark just gazed in awe. He closed it and we stood there until the cries abruptly stopped. We stayed awake for a half hour then went to our rooms, I did'nt go to sleep though due to sheer terror. A hour or so later I began to fall asleep due to lack of sleep, but as luck would have it there was a thud on the roof, or may have been against the wall. I bolted upright and heard a rustle in a tree and that was that, though I did'nt fall asleep again that night.
Other people in my neighborhood including a teacher from my school also was awoken by the thing. Though that was the only night it came all the way to my house it's awoken me from afar with its cries and has come close to my friends houses on numerous occassions. My friends set up a video camera in the woods but the quality was poor and nothing happened. We continued going in the day to investigate but never came across anything. Some of my friends pitched in for a good camera that can take decent footage in the night. They set it up so it was well covered and would'nt be stolen or trashed. It has'nt caught anything but random minor disturbances in brush but the sounds continued. Some people claim to have had face to face experiences and I've talked to them, some are blatant liars but others seemed to be genuine. It seemed to be aggressive on these encounters, all of which were at night.
My friends are gonna buy more cameras and put them up and soon we plan on going ontothe factory grounds to see if it may take residence there.
Sorry if I bored you but I felt like sharing!

Im pretty sure big foot is supposed to have fur, it had none, atleast on the leg. People who have "seen" it describe it as almost more... I hate to say reptillian but it seems to coem across that way.
Oh and also I don't see how bigfoot could have gotten there and lived there, then again I don't see how anything could have without being found.

Theres a drawing somewhere a witness drew and a recording of its wail, I'll try and upload both, though don't expect the wail anytime soon. From what I saw it looked like gray flesh, though I only saw it for a fraction of a second. The pic seemed to hint scales though not enough to be defenitive.

chaoserver, what a mystifying, not to mention terrifying, ordeal! I was going to say that pigs squeal very loudly, and at night sounds can be deceptively loud...however, when you mentioned the calf of a leg my theory went out of the window. I hope further investigation, and setting up your camera's will bring forth more information...it's all very intriguing.

When I saw it, it was almost at full height and I'd guess 7-8 feet, it was running much faster than I've seen a human run, maybe not olympic fast, sorry but I can't give a mph because I did'nt see it for long enough. Still looking for pic, if I can't find it I'll get it from my friends. As far as being skinny the leg I saw looked INSANELY muscular for a wild animal, it probally runs alot. I could'nt tell if it had a muscled upper body but the pic made it seem of medium build.

One of use carries a gun usually, and it's not really a good thing to be awoken at terrible hours in the morning by an ungodly sound. Personally I think it looks like the small thinner one, though I only saw the legs. Also obviously someone is lying blatantly because the horned version is much different than the others(they described itas having wings). I'm gonna help get more cameras to see if we can catch this thing on video. No one has a theory on WHAT it is exactly yet. Nothing has a cry like that, atleast that I had known of. Oh and something that did'nt trenslate well in the pics is that it has rough textured almost scalish skin.

I totally agree with you. I had a very similar experience than the one you encountered. I live in a heavily populated suburb of Seattle. One evening (morning) around 3:00a.m. - 5:00a.m., I heard a terrible shrill coming from what appeared to be the woods across the street from my apartment complex. The shriek was so loud I was about to call the cops because I was worried that a woman was being assualted. As the night progressed, the sound of IT (?) was picking up in intensity. My worries began to turn into bewilderment. I guess I was amazed that this person (?) was screaming in anguish but no one was coming to her (?) aid.
With the screams becoming more and more persistent, I laid in my bed looking out of the window not quite sure what to do. I was simply amazed that no one else seem to be inquisitive about this occurance. Maybe they didn't hear her (?), I don't know?! At first, I thought I should go check it out just to make sure everything was okay, however, an odd feeling came over me. It was as if someone was telling me, silently, DO NOT GO OUTSIDE!
Listening to my inner voice, I decided to do just that - lay there and pretend this was not happening. I laid there (in bed) with my eyes completely opened until I eventually fell asleep. After a couple of hours of sleep, I woke up an immediately turned on the T.V. to see if anyone reported this incident. Not surprisingly, there was no such story!
I tried my best to make sense of it, but I later dismissed it as if maybe I was just hearing things! I dunno?

The sound I heard was to disturbing to be imagined , So if what you heard was similar I doubt it was imagined. Ask around and see if anyone else heard it, when things like that happen people tend to keep to themself about it in fear of being laughed at. Are there any woods near where you live? Or tunnels. It needs to live somewhere. I'd assume that it was'nt human because, once again if it's like what I heard, was way to freaky to be made by a human.

However, myy theory is that the mothman and jersey devil are both the same species of some kind... and perhaps this thing is also...

Camp in a place surrounded by many, many trees. Also, establish a radio and atleast another person on the "outside" world in a safe building within civilization so they can call police or an ambulance in case of an emergancy and keep a celluar phone too. Have plenty of lighting, med kits, rations, extra clothing aswell. Pack plenty of flash lights and lanterns. Keep the gun always on safety and have extra munition. Bring tents, sleeping bags, and plenty of disinfectent, bandages, and what not. Make sure your camp is atleast a maxium of a mile from civilization though don't make it like 25 meters from your home or neighboorhood. Have backup batterys too. Flares are highly usefull aswell.
Stay safe kids!

Also, I'm adding you to my MSN.
Edit 2: Add those lines and cans alert traps up. A Line from one tree to another and once someone walks through them, the cans rattle alerting nearby stationed campiers. Plant these in a circular formation around your camp.
Also! Have at least 1-2 adults...please for the love of all...have an adult...I don't mean some 18 year old drunk who smokes dope all the time. I mean a 21-50 year old "ADULT" with responsibility and experience with firearms.
