playing drums is unique, since they are so insane and different from any other instrument. people love it and they are probably the loudest instrument you can get! any one share my opinions?

I don't think they are the loudest, because in a band its usually a back-ground beat, and guitar takes the lead

I have Zildjian (forgot spelling, too lazy to look at cymbals) cymbals, a ride, a crahs, hi-hats, a crash-ride, and a china....yes, mine is a standard 5-piece, not those fusion sets. I dont like floating toms...
I have a tambourine, mallets, brushes, and bell chimes...

I mostly stick to guitar but whenever I go to the local music shop Zumix I mess around a bit. But yeah, drums are awesome. Down with the sickness.

Well, you are both wrong...the loudest instrument in a band is the human vocal....the vocals are always louder then anything else in the band....if not then their mix isn't correct. Other then that if you play instrument to instrument....u will then find that the 6 string bass guitar is and always will be the loudest with proper amp.
