Dude I just walked outside tonight at around 2:30 am and I saw something I've never seen before. I've never heard of a moon like this. I even checked a few websites that show the phases of the moon and this thing isn't on there!!!!

I think this might be a sign, no kidding man! I remember the Bible saying that in the end times the moon and the sun will exhibit odd paterns that they wouldn't normally or couldn't normaly do, I think this might be one of them. Anyone reading this go check for yourselves. The moon is in the shape of a smiley face. It is like a cresent moon but it is turned on its' back! I have never seen anything like this before, on top of that the moon seems extremely low to the ground for this time of night. I'm not a moon expert so maybe i'm just going nuts for nothing, but anyone else who has ever seen the moon like this or has heard of it please reply.....

I've seen this actually alot growing up. It's the possitioning of the moon to the earth. Don't worry... it's not a sign. It's a common thing really. Quartermoons(cresent) happen twice a cycle.

Oddly enough, the moon looked just the same this time last year.....

And will next year

All of you were wrong, I was right after all.... I just heard about a news story which said that a former Prime Minister of Canada has stated in a speech that the U.S. govt. is creating weapons to fight off aliens and that the U.S. might get us into an Intergalactic War. He said they are going to attempt to build a military base on the moon to monitor the aliens comings and goings and shoot them down if they decide to do so.

As a young boy, my father told me a country adage:
If the crescent moon appeared as a bowl, horns up, it would be a dry month; horns downward, it would would be a very wet month.

If the bowl appeared halfway, then there would be some rain. Surprisingly, it appears to have held true all these many years.
It may not answer your 'wierd moon' scenario, but I thought it aprpos.

I don't know what the new trend on publicly arguing moderator decisions is or where it has come from but if anyone is doing the decision making on moderating, it should be the ones known as moderators I think.
