Full Version: Getting around internet censorship

Mr-X
Since 1996 www.archive.org has been backing up the internet month by month.

At times there have been some highly controversial sites that have been erased or banned from the publics eye. But there is away around it. ;)

Here is what you can do:

There was a website in Florida that was exposing corruption in the judicial system, which a judge ordered a shut down of that website. See story:

www.patriotsaints.com/News/Mirrors/judicialwatchdog.htm

their website was www.amoralethics.com/ If you type the above address into your browser nothing will come up.

Now go to www.archive.org and type in the above URL, and viola, 25 different copies backed up since 1998, the most recent being May 17.

So if you know of any sites that have been banned go and have some fun.

not so much for banned, but  for no longer  accessable websites is what this is more useful for - if you find a search engine giving you a broken link go here instead and check
