This all started about 2 months ago. We just moved into a new house about 6 months ago. well in the last two months there has been three times where he asks me "where did the baby go" here they are in order

1) My son and i were sleeping in my room one afternoon, i awoke to see him staring into the top of our closet, shaking his head up and down as if he were saying yes. I asked what are you doing Elijah, and he said "mom see the baby?" I looked and saw nothing not even a box or cloths that could look like something. He insisted and so I picked him up to show him the top of the closet. He said "mom, where the baby go

2) Elijah had his first visit to the dentist a week ago. Everything went fine and we were ready to leave. this office building is such that the elevators are situated in the middle of four hallways that form a square with brown doors all the way round. Anyway we went out the door into the hallway and Elijah starts running and laughing around a corner all the sudden he stops, shrugs his shoulders and asks "mom where did the kid go" there was none else around.

3) this happened the following day. My son was playing in the living room and I was cooking dinner. He ran to me saying "mom, look noise baby made noise" "follow me, look noise" I said of course "what noise there's no baby" I followed him, he brought me to my room, he was looking around with his hands in the air asking "mom where the baby go? "

Please if anyone has an idea about how to approach this situation as to not discourage him and rather nurture. let me know. Or if you have any knowledge concerning the subject. Anything just talk to me please.

Wish I could help answer this. My two year old daughter has come screaming through the house once or twice a week for the past 2 months saying there is a scary man in the house. Sometimes she's crying so hard she can hardly breathe. It REALLY scares her. of course when we go investigate there is nothing there. But she still always seems to see a scary man in places. She even draws pictures of him sometimes!

I would like to find out more about this.

I am reading now on indigo, crystal and rainbow children. It seems this is normal for them. I also exsperienced many things as a child and adolecent. I told my parents about my twin sister who would visit me at night that had died at birth when noone had told me. Also I remember almost drowning at 2 when i was left alone in a pool. My floatie had lost air and I was going under. I clearly remember three boys at the pool side saying to me "swim!! swim you can do it mandy, swim!!" I remember wondering why they didnt help me. Then my mother came and jumped in. Years later as a teen i talked with my mom about it and she says i was the only one there.

I don't know if this relates, but my 6 yr. old said he was thankful for his hamster. I said, you know we don't have a hamster, right? He said, yeah, but we can pretend? I said, ooook... so you're thankful for your imaginary hamster? He said, Yeah.

My 2 yr. old sees a pic of my wife, he says "mama" and tries to kiss it. Any pic of her. He seems to think it's her.

What Really gets me, is when they wake up crying about the lion under the bed, and almost refuse to go to bed because the lion will growl at them, and try to eat them. What lion? I dunno. Sure is real to them though.

The witch in the shower was real to me too way back when. The goblins will get you too, if you don't watch out! Thank you little orphan annie.

The coolest thing, is when the baby looks just passed you, wide eyed, and then busts out with a smile and you look behind you and have no idea what made the child so happy, but you know he saw Something. original.gif

Well guys, I think this is a question that lots of parents have. How do you calm your child down without belittling their experience? How do we know it's not just imagination?

I think you should first off let your child tell you everything about it they want to say. It's important to let them finish. Don't tell them there's no such thing as ghosts, monsters, whatever. First off, that doesn't work, and second, see the belittling issue, lol. Other than that, there's not a whole lot else I can tell you. sad.gif I'd love to have a definitive answer myself.

My daughter did this alot when she was a baby. She'd watch whatever it is and smile or laugh. It was kind of weird. We did have a medicine man tell us that our house had an "Anasazi" spirit in it and had moved with us after we moved. We had a ceremony to expel it and, oddly enough, my daughter stopped seeing things above our shoulders. Either she grew out of it or the ceremony did something, either case, it was definitely weird. original.gif

Kids are weird. Imaginary friend or just typical child wierdness. All of my younger cousins talk to themselves, sing, and lick dog noses but it doesn't mean they see a ghost, are possesed by the devil or are insane. wacko.gif

I don't think that anyone has suggested any of these things.

I do agree, however, that it may just be a child with an active imagination. I had an imaginary friend, and my 4 year old son has had one since he was about 2. Maybe some light can be shed on this when the child gets a little older and his verbal skills catch up with his mental ones.

Despite what I just said, I do believe that children are much more sensitive to the spiritual world. I agree that you shouldn't discourage or belittle. I think that as kids grow, ideas like "there's no such thing as..." and "you're just being silly" put into their heads by adults are what cause them to lose that sensitivity. Those who don't lose it are lucky, as far as I'm concerned.

As long as whatever he's seeing doesn't scare him, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

OK. You guys need to stop this talk about toddlers and the paranormal.
My 18-month-old nephew has started similar stuff this week. He ran aoruund the dining room, saying 'Baby, baby' and pointing at the adjacent living room, which was both dark and empty.
I'm like..'Huh? There's no baby in there.'
And he kept pointing, saying 'Baby, baby.'

Dunno what that was all about. I haven't seen any babies recently in our living room.

Hi everybody

I would like to invite you to read my IMAGINARY FRIENDS topic on this forum. You'll see that you are not alone.

- children tend to have imaginary friends

- some children have very developed psychic abilities and they can see the ghosts, spiritual, interdimensional beings, or memory left overs around

- and some children have a very active imagination fed by the cartoons, movies, or books..

let's remember that today's TV, video-computer games, music video clips and comercials are perfect tools to activate the imaginative mind.

Don't get panic.. just be very patient with them and try to make them talk about what they see.

Love

My son used to say he saw angels around him when he was little. He would point to them or tell me where they were and what they looked like.

I thought it was soooo cool! I have always heard that babies and small children are very open and aware to the spirit world. I wish we didnt loose that.

My son is now 6 and a half and every night we "wake up" his angels still. original.gif

My 17 month old daughter is the same at the moment. She sits in her cot in the mornings and has a right old conversation with someon. Dunno wot she is saying but she often tells them no while poiinting her finger as if she is telling them off. I am a bit scared though as I have recently done homemade ouija boards in the house. I have vowed notto do them again though because im quite scared of my house now and feel that someone is watching me sometimes. Maybe its just my imagination working overtime because of me doing the ouija board. Who Knows.

man, let me tell ya....kids are kids, their minds are like a sponge and this problem is normal...i had a friend's brother who was always saying there was a kid in his room. When we go check, nothing was there...im pretty sure its normal, but fi it continues, check it out with a Physician. but GOod luck though.

Many times I have gone into the room where my 1yr old daughter is playing and I find her seemingly chattering and laughing with someone who isn't there?

Don't discourage children Many children see 'spirit' people especially children and grandparents/parents that have passed over. I remember my nephew was alone in the living room at his house and I was in the kitchen with his mother. The tv was not on and all of a sudden we heard him having a conversation with someone. We went to the door and we watched and listened to him for about 5 mins then his mother asked him who he was taking to. My Grandad came the reply. His Grandad had died about 6 months earlier. Don't be afraid or try to discourage children. They are special. What I would give to see a loved one again from the other side. That is what I believe my daughter is seeing. Either 1 of her 3 Grandparents, my brother or aunt. that have all passed

Just another thought, I don't think it lasts either. In some children they keep the gift others forget how to use it and don't remember what they saw.

he probably sees ghosts, baby and child ghosts..probably! i mean why would a kid keep saying that on three different occasions? most likely he sees what the rest of us dont!

Well, when my cousin was about 2, he ad his mom were playing with some games and all of the suddeen he was looking over her shoulder laughing. She looked over her shoulder and there was nothing there. She thought that maybe it was her father who had passed away many years back. My whole family and I think that it was him making faces at my cousin making him laugh.
