I'm sorry to bring this up again, but I have been reading with interest the articles and posts about D.Acorah and can now understand why he was slowly phased out of Most Haunted. I have just been on there forum and found a post before the mods got to edit it and set me on this mission and it lead me to here. This forum seems to be more interesting than MH as it is not as 'prohibited' as much as MH are. They don't want to talk about the D thing and get quite uppity when a post mentions anything about it. I respect peoples opinion and have been a believer in Derek for a long time, BUT lately on the MH episodes he just seemed to be getting a bit much and spoiling the enjoyment for me. David Wells and Gordon Smith seem to be doing much better. I'm not sure about D's new show Ghost Town, I think I am on that fence again and it is getting wider.

Watching the last series of mh, I could see why Derek would want his own show, he barely got 10 minutes on most haunted. In the first few series of m.haunted he got at least half an hour.
'What's that sam? I got 3,0 thirty. Thirty-five minutes on camera and what 'ave you'.
Crazy Funk
I think the very fact that he was involved in most haunted in the first place lowered his credibility and it may sound very judgemental but I don't think anyone involved with that show can be seen as credible anymore.
I don't know much about the paranormal or investigations but I do know that trooping around with a large group of people and filming equipment strung all over the place is probably not the best way to gather objective evidence.
I also find it hard to believe that every location they visit is haunted yet every time they get these seemingly "spectacular" results.
I'm generally very skeptical but from what I have seen of derek's replacement - Gordon Smith in previous TV appearances I thought he did seem very accurate and was very open to the possibility that he had a true gift. I don't think getting involved with most haunted will do him any favours as far as credibilty goes although it will likely pay him well financially. I was a bit disappointed to see he had gotten involved with most haunted to be truthful. Just my thoughts.
The bogle
Derek is too nice a bloke to be a fraud, I beleive in his abilitys and think its a shame he left mh in the way that he did. yeah I also find it weird how they always seem to get good results although most of the creaks knocks they hear and so on I hear in my house every now and then and don't give it a second thought.
