Well, what I am about to tell you guys I have only told my brother, no one else, the reason I am sharing this experience this with you is because I just have to tell some one.

Well, I was 10 years old and I was staying at my grandmothers house with my mom, dad, brother, and my dog. There was no where for me to sleep so I had to sleep out on the hammick in the patio, I was actually looking foward to it because there was no city lights and the stars were out and I got to see the constilations. Well, after about an hour I fell asleep, my dog was at my feet because she couldn't stay in the house.

Well in the middle of the night I wake up to a high pitched sound, I try to open my eyes and I couldn't, it was liked my eyes were welded shut, I tried to open my mouth and I couldn't. I couldn't breathe or move but I was trying with all my might but just couldn't do it. Well after what seemed 20 seconds everything seemed to turn on and I could open my mouth and breathe. Well I took a huge gasp and looked out over the lake and saw a bright light inthe sky. It seemed to slowy float to the right as it faded away. As the light faded the sound faded too.

Right after the thing disapeared I looked down at my dog, she had her ears perked up and was staring intently at the area the light was. She then turned her head and looked at me. It seemed she was acknoledging what I saw. I went down onto the floor and gave her the biggest hug ever. I closed my eyes and just held her, holding back tears. I got up, and slowly walked to the house, I got to the door and went into the house, I looked at the time on the microwave and it was 4:10 AM, I went onto the couch and the dog jumped up at my feet, I turned on the TV and didn't go asleep until my dad woke up at 7:00 AM.

I didn't tell anyone until about 1 year ago, it was seriously bugging me and I felt I had to tell some one, I told my brother and he believed me and swore never to tell anyone. This is the first time I'm sharing this with anyone(aside from my brother) since the night it happened 7 years ago.

sounds like old hag. what did this light in the sky look at sound like?

this undoubtably has something to do with ufos. i think a) you could have been abducted and then dropped back down, and at that precise moment you woke up, or you could have simply been observed by the object. notice i said nothing about aliens here.

Your experience sounds very similar to sleep paralisis , you will be able to find several references to SP on this board by using the search button . Basically your body is still reacting to the chemicals that are activated in our brain during R.E.M. sleep . It is a very real thing to experience and I applaud you for posting here .
I know what your thinking ...How did my dog know what was going on ? Well animals are highly sensitive infact so much so that they have been proven to be able to pick up on someone having an Epileptic seizure even before our own advanced medical equipment can . So I believe it would be entirely possibler for your dog to be able to pick up on the stress you and your body were undergoing at the time .
