To all the professional and amateur photographers Just wondering this.....The consensus seems to be that Orbs are reflections of dust/moisture caused by a reflection from the flash........Where do you stand on Orbs in photo's where no flash was used ?
Thanks

Can anyone provide photo's of orbs in pics where no flash was used ?????

First off, just because light can cause what appears to be an orb, that doesn't mean it explains all orbs.... I guess one thing to look out for with orbs that show up with flash is that if there are numerous ones and some are significantly (don't know by how much) dimmer than the others, it's probably just the flash creating the effect. I've also seen "orbs" that were blatently the product of reflected light from a single source, in this case a candle. The main concern seems to be that the light source is not well dispersed, or it is primarily from a single source (flash, candle, maybe even sun...) that lines up in such a way that the light from this relatively strong source would be able to bounce off the dust and into the camera. The good news is that orbs from light sources in front of the camera will almost always be less than full circles. This means that flash and light sources that come from right behind you are the main conceivable ways to get false orbs. I'm a student in photography, though do not have loads of technical expertise or experience compared to many veterans out there.
