I'd have no problem fighting an alien fist to fist... or fist to claw, heck I'd probably enjoy it... but what scares me is how much they would zap me with their advanced technology.

What they would be if they invaded earth hey? I mean, don't you think that there would be good aliens to save us? seeing how bullies are stupid and all?

anyway, I wish I knew how their technology worked and what they wanted, I wish our government wasn't so secret about it... and I wish we could have open, peaceful contact.

In the big shwig of things I don't think aliens would invade because that is such an uncivilized thing to do, and if they did, that means that uncivilized aliens exist, and which also means that there are definitly civilized aliens out there who would be willing to help us.

The smart money now is on Europa, a moon circling the giant planet Jupiter. Europa is dazzling-white, and covered in mysterious cracks. Images from the Galileo spaceprobe show that its surface looks like the pack-ice you see when you fly over the seas around Alaska or Greenland and thats just what the bioastronomers believe it is.

Already, there are plans to send a probe to Europa early this century, equipped with a robotic submarine. Will it find bugs? Or maybe something more exotic.

Seriously tho...My thought is that a civilization far enough advanced that they can traverse interstellar space and go to distant stars, there would have to be a certain level of peace within that society. I mean, take our current global polital status. Dozens of opposing countries (not warring, just opposing views and politics, and cultures) there would be virtually no way that this kind of advanced space program would get off the ground. For that level of sophistication and science there would have to be, IMO, a global unity. Just think about where our space program would be if our global focus had been on technological advancement, rather than weapons developement for the last 60 years. I'd bet we'd have explored a LOT more of our own solar system, been to Mars, and maybe even developing faster-than-light travel.
If we're still here in say 300 years, we very well may be in this position or even farther along. I can see us in a few centuries, exploring other planets less advanced and being their UFO's...

Actually, he has recommended following in mine... If he believes the stuff he says...let him. It is not doing us any harm. Everything he says makes sense to me. I will admit that I don't believe all of his ideas, but I don't criticize him for putting his ideas out there, ya know? Oh well, people will be people and criticize what they don't understand or are afraid of...But then again, there will always be criticizing when people are allowed to speak their minds.
