Hi all,

me and a friend have been playing GTA:San Andreas for months now, and long since completed pretty much everything worth doing but we still play for the fun of it.

Anyway, recently while driving along if I hit a bump the radio station changes which is incredibly annoying.

Then, after a while longer while driving along Carl would jump off his bike or out the car on his own, making driving very difficult. Now it's got to the stage where he'll happily jump out a plane at high altitude, or shoot random strangers while walking along the street!

He's completely out of control, has anyone else had this problem? How do you stop it?

Have you used a lot of cheats? I've heard that excessive use of cheats can unbalance the game.

Lol! I would like to see that, yeah maybe it is due to exessive cheating, or maybe just a glitch, or maybe one of your buttons keeps getting stuck lol.

Try unplugging and then replugging the controller during gameplay. Sometimes that helps for me.

Hrrmm. What are you playing this game on, PC or Xbox or PS2?

I have never had this problem and i played at least once every couple days for a good year. I never used cheats, and i have heard they can unbalance the game. But this sounds to be more like an input glitch rather than a glitch in the game.

It sounds like either some buttons or keys aregetting stuck down?

i would bet money that it is some sort of problem with your controller. do you have another controller that you can use? have you ever spilt anything or stepped on the controller you are using? i know about messed up controllers. i go through them like water because i get mad and throw them at the wall like a big baby. then my wife makes fun of me and i cry.

Agreed, its your controller or something to do with it. Using codes would result in game freezes and lock ups.

It's on the PS2, and I haven't used a single cheat. I hate using them they ruin the game.

Actually technically I haven't used a cheat and then saved the game, whenever I've tried one out for a laugh I always turn off the console or restart from the last save point.

It's not a controller issue, all my other games play fine, it's a built in glitch I'm sure of it, it's like he's frustrated or bored or something.

It's got gradually worse, and perhaps if he was only jumping off bikes or out of planes and cars I'd be thinking my triangle button was busted but while driving along the camera will switch to look left or right and Carl will fire out the window, if my buttons are busted it means my L2 and R2 and circle and triangle button are all busted.

It started at the Verdant airstrip, I consistently saved my game there because I always loved jumping in a plane. I'm thinking maybe it's the games way of getting you to move on and do something else, it's totally bizarre I've searched the net and can't find any other record of it happening.

Thanks for your input guys, I'll try swapping the controllers over but I'm positive it's a built in thing because I've done something within the game.

Edit: I did murder my first girlfriend, do you think that's it? She was always moaning and ringing me up so I battered her with a baseball bat thinking she'd be magically OK again but her heart never reappeared on the map, it wasn't long after that it started happening, maybe she was cursed?

Edit 2: ...and who says this game causes violent behavior!

I think it's a myth that cheats can mess up the game. I have used every cheat there is for GTA: SA and even saved my files with the cheats active and I have never ever seen a glitch or had the game mess up or freeze. I always thought it was odd that people implied that this would happen, maybe it was a way of stopping people from cheating

I thi k theres a chance it can mess up your game but probobly a small one, just there so componies can cover their buts.
