There has been a lot of Ouija board talk on UM. It seems that a significant percentage of people who join UM are at some point asking about Ouija boards. Many people keep asking the same questions and telling similar stories. I belive this subject has as much attention as psi energy, if not more. That is why I have a request for a pinned topic on Ouija boards. I can not take full credit for this proposal, because I have heard other suggestions for this.

dude, they sell them everywhere, i have a glow in the dark version of it from Spencers in the mall,,,,,i'm pretty sure they have in in Toys R Us, they have alot of board games

I've went with my friends two years ago when I was 14.I'm almost 17 now so almost 3 years ago.They bought a Ouija bored at Toys R' US.So yes in fact they do.But I wouldn't use one if I was made to.I just was with them when they bought it.But I really really wouldn't use one.Bad stuff

It's not the board itself, but the words, mannerisms and ability of the person using it that opens the portal.

Might as well just make your own, you would get the same effect with typing up the same stuff on a cpu screen and having everyong hold onto a piece of paper with a hole in in and a arrow drawn on it, just don't fight to push or pull it too much, that would tear the paper and ruin the whole effect of the board. Couldn't imagine what would happen if the world knew how much crap is fake, our whole society would fall apart. But either way, go WEEGI, or whatever the real spelling is..

A sticky for Ouija would be a good idea, but really, all topics could be stickied at some point, as they seem to wax and wan at different times. Yes, cheap, homemade ouija boards can be made and will work just as well as a store-bought or "special" super mumbo jumbo boards. The board is simply a physical tool that is made use of by the person - it has no unique "supernatural" properties in and of itself, except possibly residual harmonic energy of the user, from close proximity and long exposure.

i would of thought that a homemade ouija board would have a better effect since u have a sorta of connection with it.

Well that would be one inclination, that it would work better, being entirely created by the user, basically they have hand-crafted an occult artifact, an oracle, albeit one costing about a buck, but still.

If you do put some stock in that, then the fact that the homemade board does usually lack the "slickness" (literal lack of friction on the board itself) of the mass-produced ones might even things back out.

I dont know if you can still buy them at Toys R Us. You were able to about 10 years ago when I bought mine.

A friend of mine bought one a few years ago at Toys R Us, though all they had were the hokey glow in the dark kind - we never did get that one to work for crap, though at that time we were hardly able to talk much about any of the stuff we used to, so I think it was more everyone being out of practice.

Why not just pull up your on-screen keyboard and randomly click your mouse as the arrow moves around the screen. I assume that you'd hvae to close your eyes adn ask a question first though. I don't know if it would work or not. I've not tried it.

Now watch, somebody will modify thier on-screen keyboard and sell the program and get rich. And as for me, they'll for get that they ever read my post on the UM. On the other hand, I now have a perminant record of my having the idea first!!! Copywrite court, here I come!

um about the ouija board...i'm making my own...is it really gonna work all that great? are spirits going to find it and be able to talk to me? how does that work? i really want mine to work despite everyone's warnings. i dunno..can i get some answers. if you have comments that don't relate to what i'm asking please don't reply to this.

All these warnings are from people who don't know what they are doing. Like I always say "when in doubt find a local psychic". If they tell you not to mess around with it, I would leave because they do not know what they are doing either. When I say this I'm not saying there is no danger. It's just that you have to know what you are doing.

To be honest you can do the same thing with an ouija bored with a pencil and paper. It's just for show.
