I'm makin' this thread because they are two completely different styles of music, yet they are like in the top 10 of their generation. They both are sorta 'powerful' songs. I have a feeling that the results will be almost tied, because they are both good

I voted for Numb, although I like them both.

I voted for 'You Really Got Me', by The Kinks. I'm not into Linkin Park, so I'm biased in a way, even though I do know what 'numb' sounds like.

I'm not really into Linkin Park either, nor the Kinks, but I like those two songs

But if it were Numb/Encore with Jay Z and Lola by the kinks the choice would be alot harder.

I prefer The Kinks. I actually hate Linkin Park. All their songs sound the same, that guy must have a terrible sore throat and they are too modern.

I'm agreeing with Star Child, you just can't compare the two. The Kinks win hands down.

'You really got me' by the Kinks is a classic, far better than numb, but I don't think a poll on this forum would be indicative of that lol, considering a large number of people like metal, new metal etc...

I voted Numb since I've never listened to the other song.

I can't believe Linkin Park are winning... Man if they sucked anymore they'd implode.

I understand some people may like that Nu-mETAl stuff, but comparing the to The Kinks is like comparing grain to caviar.

Honestly, I dont see the point in this. How can one compare these 2 totally diffirent worlds of music ? Why do people always need to compare things ?

You Really got me. Van Halen. After Eddie got a hold of it, the Kinks version sounded like a rusty gate. Even in concert R. Davies says they're going to play Van Halen's hit, You Really Got Me.

Maybe I should make a 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Vs. 'Stairway To Heaven' one. Both are from the same genre.
