Full Version: Triangle UFOs revealed

I live in Canton, MI, halfway between Ann Arbor and Detroit. There is a military air base 100 miles away, and a metro and cargo airport less than a 1/2 hour away. Ever since I was little, I would see bright lights in the nigh sky that appeared to be not moving, and suddenly move off (they were silent). Last night, I saw a bright light outside, and saw a plane just higher than the treetops fly overhead...It had 3 powerful forward facing lights, that made it "glow" because of he haze in the sky. It was almost silent, and the outline was that of the Startrek Bird of Prey. I can see how during a pitch black night that these can be confused for triangular UFOs, but I clearly saw the outline because winter skies here are always a light black...

I am pretty sure that these are some kind of cargo planes, my dad says the same. Or are they a military plane? Can y'all help?

Please be serious too...

Nice pics but they dont look like any cargo planes ive seen

They don't look that out of the ordinary if you ask me, but yes. If they're military, they're pretty darn advanced. hmm.gif
Richdog
They look... weird. Definately not regular aircraft design. Maybe that accounts for their silence etc... did you take those pics?
Welsh Shaun
Nice pictures mate thumbsup.gif I dont know much about planes especially military, but like KT said they look pretty advanced what ever they are.

Very good pic's. I am ex-Air Force and I don't recognise this configuration. The height of the vertical stabilizer seems to be longer than conventional , though the light is common enough. I didn't get a good Idea of size with no reference points.
I might hazard a guess and say a T-38 or newer trainer craft. The air inlet and exhaust is close to the fuselage on these. Or as you say the it many be a C-130 and the pods would be the Wheel wells.
frogfish
That's not my pic.
I'll try to get pictures....especially when they are lower...
I see them regularly, because they have the strong floodlights...

They only fly at night...I have never seen them during the day...

...the chances of you getting an identical pic of the same craft, from an identical angle, while it's at the identical altitude at the same time of day with those same three lights on....wow...you should play the lottery...

thank you i knew i saw these pics in a previous thread
just couldnt remember which one

Yes, that was a picture from the thread "An object I photographed" by I J Walton...I used those as reference, as you see in my description, I said they had forward-facing lights, and the picture has downward facin lights.

The object I saw had a similar structure
Hendrix
well you should have mentioned that
or just got some photos yourself if you see them often

You know, That actually resembles a stealth bomber with a tail sticking out the back and big floodlights on it... hmm.gif
RedRaider9981
That might be an explanation for some of the triangle UFO sightings, but as far as explaining away all of them all over the world, I doubt it.
Hendrix
its probly just some prototype aircraft for the airforce

Wow, theose are great photos. I have always wondered how far ahead Skunkworks type of technology is compared to the civilian sector.

I would be willing to bet that many of the UFO sightings are actually military craft that just have not been released to civilian eyes.

When I was a kid, my dad worked for an Aerospace company. He had been there many years and picked up a security clearance along the way. He was able to see at least parts of classified aircraft before they were common aircraft. One of the planes he worked on was the SR-71. He designed and helped develop some of the insturmentation on the plane, and early on he knew he was onto something rather large, as the requirements of the insturments had been far faster and higher than any of the other aircraft he had worked on.

This was in the early 60's and he was never able to tell us what he had been working on. Years later he took me to a hobby store so that I could buy a new model airplane to build. By chance I chose to buy a model of an SR-71. It blew his mind as he had thought that the plane was still not very well known by the civilian community, but the model itself was rather well proportioned and accurate(as a model can be).

The performance of that aircraft was stunning compared to what came before it, and I can only imagine that the military is equally far ahead of what we are able to see these days.

That being said; I have absolutely no idea what that craft could be designed for. hmm.gif

You are right, there are other possible explanations.

I will try to get pictures....The problem is I don't know when they show up, and I've only seen them up close twice...mostly I just see their Bright Lights....I will try though.

Ok...you said the craft you saw was pretty similiar to those photos. From your reference point, is the pictured craft moving towards you (lights in front) or away (lights in rear)?

Well this one has me stumped. I have never seen an airplane configuration like that before. O_i;
