chappelletheory.com I just came across this website, supposedly by someone close to Dave Chappelle. It provides a detailed timeline of the events and key players leading up to Chappelle's "breakdown" and the cancellation of his show.
What do you think? it seems plausible to me.

I came across this today and it made for some interesting reading. I'm a big fan of the Chappelle show and followed the story of him going to Africa, and leaving the show. This could help with some of the confusion or just add to it. Basically to summarize the black leaders Bill Cosby, Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, Oprah Winfrey and others were fed up with how the Chappele show portrayed African Americans. They decided to conspire and force the show to stop production or get it canceled. They used things like threating phone calls, voodoo dolls, breaking into his house, etc. Read all about it.

yeah, i started a thread about it
here last night.
It's a really interesting story, though I did find the part of Opera breaking into Daves house in the middle of the night with thugs kind of hard to believe.

Yeah seriously, that's pretty far out there. I doubt Oprah would try to sneak her fat a$$ in the house all the way up to the bed room. I have no idea if any of this is true, just wanted to post it to see what others thought.

One of the things that makes me suspicious isn't even from the site.
This seems to be a big year for viral marketing, shown by the large amount of hoax sites popping up all over. That stupid "Shadows of the Collossis" (or whatever) video game had several.
The timing of this if perfect because I just heard news that the Chappelle show is making a return (kinda). Actually, the network pieced together unused footage to form four new episodes. The website could be a ploy to get people re-interested so when they bring it back their audience will be like:
"Yeah, those Dark Crusaders can't hold us down!"

I cant imagine Oprah(

)and Bill Cosby agreeing with Farrakhahn on anything!
I guess Chappelle wasnt a good enough Muslim according to Mr Farrakhand and too black according to Ms Winfrey and Mr Cosby.
I doubt Oprahs "Angels" and all the godly spirits that follow her werent happy with her acts of terrorism. That woman needs serious help and is most probably the antichrist.
I bet things like this happen in "Hollywood" all the time.
Im disapointed with Bill Cosby,I usually agree with his views on the media's views/influence on the black community, but I think(if it is true!)he's lost the plot too.
I can imagine Oprah in a skimask holding an Uzi to Chappelles head whilst munching on a Twinki. The spawn of Lucifer probably gave free cars to all the kids who smashed his windows too. That woman is evil I tell thee.

I'm not a fan of Dave Chappelle, but this kinda thing wouldn't suprise me at all!!!
Personally, I have some problems with "the elite" deciding how "their people" should be represented. Sorry, not everyone has a great childhood. Some of us did grow up in really screwed up situations.
I've had a problem with Bill Cosby for a long time. His show was "too perfect". Sorry, but
NO ONE'S family, regardless of race, is
NOT like that!!

Then the way he treated the younger stars of the show blew!! Also he has a tendency to forget where he came from...I remember listening to his comedy & he had some characters that weren't all that positive. So what's up with that? Is he the kettle or the pot?
Also what are they going to do about some of the old questionable comedy of say...Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor or Redd Foxx? Just forget it ever exsisted?

Or just sweep it all under the carpet & say, "It didn't happen that way."
I think that they need to get a freakin' clue!!! Comedy is based on irony, and I think trying to discredit one of the most successful Afro-American comedians is truely ironic. It would be like me protexting Jeff Foxworthy for describing my family to a "T"!!!

Newsflash, Season 3 starts in January.
Chappelle came out a few months ago and stated that he had become disillusioned with his own stardom. He was upset that all his 'friends' were just hangers-on, that everyone was trying to milk his success for their own benefit, and he didn't like how he was starting to behave.

I remember an interveiwer asking Redd Foxx why he portrayed blacks the way he did in his show and he replied "I based all the shows supporting characters on people that I knew". As far as Chapell, eh. He's kind of funny but, I can't see a whole board of acters a comedians forming a unified front to shut him down. I think that it was just a ploy for ratings.

See, they do this to Dave Chappelle. ( if it is true ) But what about everybody else. Look at 50 cent.
They would not stand a chance if they attempted something like this is Hip-Hop. Why?
Well because several of them are gangsters. They singled out Chappelle because he has no hommies.

I think you need to read the disclaimer on page 1 before you post this stuff. A little excerpt.
"We'd like to thank the bulk of you for not thinking, it makes the satire and parody that much easier. We've been pretty proud of the results so far"
It just goes to show you the outrageous things people will believe......

Yep, I really don't think this really happened at all. There is absolutely no documented evidence to support any of this.
My favorite show on comedy central is the Cappelle show, so it caught my interest.

I, for one, really don't much care for the Chapell show. It is different and it is new but, do you think that it will be around in ten years?
In my humble opinion, he just plays the lowest commen denominator. He makes people of all races look bad. Sure, that's funny for a season or two, but, then what does he have? Nothing but a show that puts people down.
If you enjoy the show keep watching it. If you've never seen it and can handle strong language, give it a whirl. Other than that , catch it before it dissappears , never to be seen again. It has no real staying power.
For all intents and purposes, it is nothing more than a re-hash of the Mandrell sisters comedy hour, only htis time with a black man!
You'll find more humour in a thirty minute episode of South Park.

he is better than carlos mencia, who is really is the one who uses racial slams to support his comedy.
Chappelle show is witty potty humor. He uses culture jokes more than race jokes. Culture jokes will never die. Thats why South Park will never die, Content is Culture and Society.
But Chappelle Show doesnt really use current events like southpark does... so they wont last as long.
IMO.

True, I remember one episode of Chapelle with a three minute song about "R.Kelly" urinating on someone. That one could've been cut down to about 10 seconds and been twice as funny
Mencia? I really don't know. I can't sit through enough of it to decide rather it's funny or not. He just bores the heck out of me.

Chappelle's show was very funny. May be it is best that it is over now. It is better that it goes out with a bang instead of slowly dying.
Carlos mencia is a well known hack. His real name is Ned Mencia. I guess he changed it to Carlos on the stage to make it sound more of a "Crazy mexican". He also steals materiel from other comics. He re-works it into racial things. Rumors that he stole stuff from Joe Rogan, that george lopez guy, Pyror, etc..
Any comedian that does his whole act on race seems to make it to comedy central. Its just disgusting. They should put more real talent on that station.
"HEY HEY. WHITE PEOPLE DO THIS, BLACK PEOPLE DO THIS!!". And it is really all black hacks that seem to make fun of white people. Unless a whitey is making fun of himself.
Comedy Central likes to call itself outrageous and edgy but in reality they are a home for hack comics and just a small pawn of Viacom.
Anyways, about Dave Chappelle. His stand-comedy had a little too much racial stuff. But his show was great.

Two things-
1. Why is it that the people complaining about Dave Chappelle have absolutely NOTHING to say about Jeff Foxworthy? (I personally like both comedians, but am wondering.)
2. How'd everyone like that "bull%$&" disclaimer on the first page?

Ten years ago, Foxworthy was really funny. Now he's just livign off of his past glory. When is the last time you told a "You might be a redneck" joke to someone? Did they laugh? I thought not. Chapelle will fade into obscurity and one day they'll say his name on t.v. and you'll say to yourself..."Wasn't he a comedian?"
