I can only draw if I have stong emotion, and latley that's anger, or depression.
So my drawing are scribbled shreds of paper, of blood cover sheets with poetry writen in many ways.
Is there a way to control my emotions, but still use them as fuel for art?

I don't really get what you mean. Can you draw ? Could you post something, so we can see.

If you are unable to control you depression and anger enough to prevent "blood covered sheets" of paper, then you need medical or psychiatric help.
That's just my opinion.

The only way I can help is if you take your anger and depression and form it into a beautiful drawing. But I know how you feel, Im like that sometimes. But when your angry do a picture with heavy lines dont press down too hard. When your upset do a picture with soft lines something sad but deep. I dont know if it will help, cause Im having a hell of a time drawing right now I just cant focuse on one pic so I start 3 and never finish them. Well good luck.

Hey sweets......just try to let your anger flow......throw paint at a sheet pinned to the wall....but don't hurt yourself....or at least try not to.

But seriously...thats creepy and freaky, your right she needs help. I don't understand why someone would want to hurt themselves for art...red paint is a much easier option than real blood!!

I'm just like you. I make poems when I'm depressed or mad. When I draw I find it helps to just make a line at every whim your you feel the pencil should make. That sometimes gives me an idea of what to draw; Be it symbolic or the pic itself.

I do, but as I get going, the emotions starts coming stronger, so If I am angry, the sttrokes get harder and harder untill they rip the page. And If it be depression, i end up drwing in blood.

You really shouldn't be doing that. There are more positive ways of expressing yourself without causing harm on your own body. Try painting in red instead of cutting yourself. People will begin to fear that you are suicidal (I hope you aren't already).

Do yourself a favor and don't make yourself bleed. Once someone who is close to you catches wind of it you'll be in more trouble then it's worth. Learn to channel your anger; though that's probably much easier said than done..
There are better ways of dealing with anger than taking it out on yourself. I suggest beating up a tree in a near by forest, or tearing apart an empty soda can (watch out for sharp edges of course).
You say you're not insane, and I believe you, but are you sane enough to realize that harming yourself in anyway is wrong? Even for the sake of art?

I agree with JayMan. Find a more positive outlet than self-destruction. With time, it may just get worse. I'm only saying this because I knew a lot of people like that, and I just get concerned.

It's madness that people would want to hurt themselves, they should take a long hard look at themselves and be thankful for what they have and what they can do.
You hear stories of people that abuse themselves by drugs or what Insane Potatoes was talking about, then they experience a horrible accident and when they see how close thay have came to death or in some cases lost the use of their limbs ect thats when they wish they wish they had a second chance.
I have read over a lot of these posts and all I can say is Insane Potatoes...girl...you do need help and I don't mean that to be sarcastic, I mean that in a good way, you need to be able to sit and get everything that troubles you off your chest and release that anger built up inside of you. I know of a guy who was like you and once he went to seek the help he needed he told us at work that he felt as though he was walking on air when he had released all of his troubles and anger out into the open and had someone there to listen to him and help him see what was going on and came to an understanding, so I think you should at least consider it. Going to get some professional help does not mean you are crazy at all, it shows that you have problems just like everyone else, but you chose to talk them through.
Good luck to you if you ever do deside to seek help ...but for gawds sake don't go hurting yourself, think about those with disabilities and those who have been badly injured and only wish they where normal again.

You really aren't aware of what is intelligent to post on a public forum and what isn't.
If what you say is true, you wouldn't be alive right now. If you really wanted to die, it would have been over much long ago.
You don't respect life one bit.
If you want help, you have to be willing to help yourself first.
Or, perhaps, this is all for the sake of attention?
I had thought this thread was to help you get better, but now I think I see what it's true cause is.

You are just a kid and you have a lot in front of you, what makes you think you will always be like this?
Just what is it that bothers you? feel free to express, there are a lot of members here that have a good heart, I am one of them and gee I would gladly hear you out. You shouldn't be afraid to expresse yourself on the things that bother you on here, reason being is that you will most likely never meet any one of us in person, at least you get to sit behind your computer screen and type it all out without haveing people look you in the face, this does make it a lot easier!!
Just a thought!

Yes, but absolutely anyone can read what she is typing. If anyone she knows stumbles upon here and reads what she is saying, there may be even more trouble for her.
Insane Potatoes, we now know your situation. I don't think it's wise that you reveal anymore than you already have. If you want help, take the advice that has been given and use it to your advantage. Get the help you need. We are not professionals.

Okay... well, what you do, is draw what you would like to happen.
If you hate your life right now, draw what you want it to be like.
But hey, if that doesn't work, keep using blood and stuff, because emo paintings get lots of money sometimes.

You may have come up with a new tipe of art. Run with it and over time you will learn to control.

how.. helpful.. Man I wish I had people telling me to use my blood as art. it would be one thing to actually remove a safe amount of blood when you are content with everything and then when your mad to use it for your art.. but you really shouldnt continue..
and if this blood thing becomes "cool" in the art world.. then next we will see paintings with other bodily fluids. ew.

What I usually do to control my emotions when I'm drawing or writing is to use music. Music is a powerful thing, it works wonders. As for the whole painting with blood thing, I would definately stop doing it. While it does add a creepy undertone to any painting, there are other, much safer ways to achive that. There is no such thing as painting with a "safe" amount of blood. Out of morbid curiosity, could you please post some of your artwork? While I would never make one, I would really love to see what a blood painting looks like.
