Wouldn't that be desperate BM? Or no. My dad met my step mom online. happy.gif

So I guess it just depends on what desperate is. hmm.gif

Be yourself. yes.gif

Talk to people you find interesting. Be interesting yourself. original.gif

Be willing to be the one to "break the ice". Guys tend to appreciate this. It also gives you some degree of control in the conversation.

Also if things don't seem to be "clicking", don't be fearful of striking up a conversation with someone else. Sometimes we find ourselves talking to just one person & not getting out of our comfort zone. Well, if you don't step forward...you probably won't get anywhere.

If you are in mixed company talk to both men & women. Here's why...who knows if the woman you are talking to may have a brother or co-worker who would be good for you.

Being set up on dates didn't really work for me, but that is because I was being set up by my sister. If someone is wanting to set you up, make sure they know your type! Nothing worse then setting up a metal head with a CW fan. blink.gif blink.gif There has to be at least a little something in common.

Remind yourself that you are not the only one who is nervous & afraid of possible rejection

Men are human beings just like us. So often we tend to think that they aren't, but they are. yes.gif

Good luck! Let us know if anything help!!! innocent.gif

I always get a guy to notice me by walking up to his girl friend and asking her if she fools around on the first date. That usually gets the guy to notice me, LOL

I am trying to find a good Christian guy. But it is so difficult.

How do you attract a man?

What do you do?

I don't want a friend but a boyfriend. I have already got enough friends. I want someone to go on dates with. Not just talk to like a girl.

It is so confusing.

Help me please.

I'd offer advice, but I have none.

I don't attract . . I scare away. hmm.gif
101
NC what are you doing? Are you wearing a scary mask. lol.

I think you are not scary.

You just think you are.

Not really if you don't have much luck finding one in the usual places you hang out..well then if you where to place a quick ad...you may find the answer in there...but hey it's just a thought..

If I had of placed an ad around the time I was to meet my partner I don't think the one I am with now would have gotten a reply LOL wink2.gif

That's because you haven't seen me.

If a guy is going to be 'too' interested in you, it is probably not to have a lasting relationship, more like a one-night-stand. That is if you are overly flirty, or dress a little too revealing.
The Skeptic Eric Raven
One word: Cleavage.
Yelekiah
That and high heels. Also throw mashed potatoes at him. Trust me, he'll take notice.
Welsh Shaun
Mashed potatoes? dontgetit.gif
101
Well I wear the cleavage shirts and I don't get the attn I want. i would rather they look at my eyes then breasts.lol

Mashed potatos. heck no. I would give them to the baby for supper before wasting them on any man.

Pa you like mashed potatos? tongue.gif
Yelekiah
Don't worry about the cleavage. I retract that. Especially on a first date. Instead of looking at your chest he needs to be talking to you. He can look at your chest later. But heels, yes. They're classy.

Mashed potatoes?

Yes, Shaun. Baked potatoes are too hard.
Beckys_Mom
Men hate me in heels cuz they make me tower over them huh.gif

Dresses and skirts then.
Tenteijfs
Just be yourself and be happy. There is nothing more sexy than a confident woman, imo.

Mmm. I could never hate heels no matter how tall a lady is.

But JFS mentioned confidence. Even if you don't have any ladies, pretend you do. It's the same thing. yes.gif And very sexy.

I always seem to attract men that are smaller than me...it's not my fault I have lanky legs. And maybe he should wear the heels lol...I get a creeky back leaning down to kiss them!!(non smutty of course)

It's a bummer having long legs though, especially when you go to buy jeans...not many jeans or pants for a woman with a 34 leg..pisses me off!!
Welsh Shaun

Meaning I was a bit slow, not on your wave length.

And ladies, be yourselves. Dont try and be some one your not, this I would have thought goes for guys also. Nothing more unattractive than someone being false.

Perhaps they like being at the same height as your.. umm..... cleavage. laugh.gif
Welsh Shaun
34 leg crikey!! that is long.

I'm 6ft with a 33 but a woman with 34.

Yelekiah
I have nothing against long legs.
Oh, and Shaun laugh.gif I thought you meant of course baked potatoes are hard.
Don't throw baked potatoes. Especially if the guy is wearing black. no.gif
That is a dating no-no.

some people have longer legs and a shorter body...and some have a larger body with shorter legs....it depends on the make of the pants/jeans sometimes a 32 legs works great when I am wearing normal shoes but if I wear high boots..its 34 as the boots can take up more room!! go figure

So...you wouldn't feel weird walking about with a woman much taller than you?

I thought guys liked to feel bigger (height wise)
BurnSide
We're getting abit too off topic here, as much as i like the conversation.
So let's get back to ways of attracting the opposite sex rather than discussions on body parts. original.gif

So if you wear a normal sized dress, it looks short on you.

Oh dear! I think my feminine side is coming out. laugh.gif

Yup I agree a sense of humour works wonders

The best way to get the guy you want without beating around the bush or waiting for him to ask you out ..is to walk up to him full of confidence and ask him out directely with a smile...he can't say no...and if he does...it's his loss not yours...trust me it works yes.gif
Rainbow Rowan
Tall or short, if she is in proportion and healthy she will look good no matter what she wears. grin2.gif

Gotta have good laughs, for sure! That is what people enjoy best about the other's company IMO tongue.gif

If a girl was to do that and sink that low..then she will land a guy alright, but the wrong guy!! tut tut shame on you

...it's his loss not yours...

It is his loss. The guy obviously has poor taste in women if he says no. mellow.gif
I met someone who had no sense of humor whatsoever. And my friends pointed this out too. She had a monotone voice. laugh.gif It was like talking to a corpse. It's good when a girl is a bit lively and she can just be herself. A girl that's easy to talk to is very attractive.

Yeah, I think that personality before looks for sure. Then their personality and confidence shines through, and you find them attractive regardless of first-impressions or their looks. grin2.gif
Beckys_Mom
Now that I have thought about it...a guy has said no to me once before blink.gif
BurnSide
I've said no to many women.

I usually have no problem with men. But the thing is. There is a man I like. He says hi to me every day at church and flirts with me. He is divorced and a little older. He is 30 + yrs. So it is scary to think that I could be liking an older man. That has kids and I don't know how to say anything to him but "hi"

I get all nervous. lol. And he is a bit shy himself.

Good Grief girlfriend . . just talk to the dude! I know you're NOT that shy!!
Rainbow Rowan
Ah, that explains it, he threatens to kill the ladies. ph34r.gif
Yelekiah
Do you think Hugh Hefner is old, 101? ohmy.gif
PadawanOsswe
I wouldnt reccomend Church for meeting a bf/gf

thats what my grandfather did, and he married a succubus from hell! disgust.gif

however, goodluck!
nativechick1989
Hmm . . maybe I should start a thread "Who will win 101's hand?"
