A man has died after a mountain of frozen food fell on him.

Rescuers had been searching for Virglio Bernardino, 57, ever since he went missing in Ontario, Canada, on Saturday.

Rescue dogs found his frozen body under tonnes of food.

It appears a rack holding the produce had collapsed.

"By the time we had located the victim, there were 6ins of frozen juices of all kinds on the floor," said Gary Jarrett, assistant division chief of the Brampton Fire and Emergency Service.

"The volume of refuse that had to be removed was unprecedented by any stretch of the imagination - it was tons and tonnes and tonnes."

Terrible story.

Today I got news about an old friend of mine (well old...35yo) whos car broke down on a road outside Stockholm..he crossed the road and got hit by a car and died at the hospital...He left 3 children that he alone took care of....now the kids are going to foster-home....they had no one else.(This happened last thursday)

Hes name was Simon and he was a very tall blonde man and he always had a smile on his lips.

Now thats really sad. It sucks

death. what can you say. it happens to us all.

Kaj, as someone who has jumped over the hood of a car to avoid getting run over, i definitely understand how fast and unpredictably death can come walking across a road. i was shocked that when i was lying in the road after clearing the car that people didn't even bother to stop; they just drove around me as i tried to get on my feet. i guess they were all in a hurry to get someplace. now, i am extremely cautious crossing any street.

that is truly a sad story. im sure someone will step forward to take care of those children. there are a lot of good people in this world.

That is very sad.

I myself have come very close to death. Actually to the point where I should have died. A friend (who was obvioulsy not thinking at the time), was passing me a shotgun we were using to kill off rodents that were diggin holes on my grand fathers property, and missed is through completely. (he should've handed it to me). The bunt end of it hit the ground with the barrel pointing right at my face and it didn't go off!!! I've thought twice about life since then. I've wondered many times why it wasn't my time.
Makes you wonder if there really is a divine plan?
