First off, this is my first "topic posting", so I hope everything is well and in order.

Today, while returning from a family Christmas party with my family, I sat down my purse and headed into my room to check my messages, and suddenly the Mexican Hat Dance song popped into my head. Sooner than it had taken me to begin humming the tune, my sister started singing, "We dance, we dance, we dance, around the Mexican Hat.."
Um..
Seeing as how my sister and I were listening to separate mp3 players in the car on the drive home, unable to hear the radio (even if my parents' Christmas radio station played the Mexican Hat Dance song), and during the day all we did was watch a movie and talk in the living room of my aunt's house.
I suppose this isn't a big deal, but it's the first time I have ever really noticed the connections, I guess, between my sister and I and our thought processes/rememberances/spontaneous singing of the Mexican Hat Dance song thing.

I apologize if this was a waste of your time, I just found it quite interesting and did not know where to post this, nor what to search under for existing topics.
If you have any feedback, it would be greatly appreciated.

The only explanations I can think of are:

1. It was just a coincedence.

2. Some thing around you, maybe something in the room you were in, triggered your memory and made you think of the song. You are always subsonsciously scanning your environment, that's how you can 'sense' when people are staring at you and things like that.

all you can do is choose to believe it happened or not... really, it is only meant for you.

Honestly - I personally believe people are getting better at tuning into other peoples thoughts and energies without speaking so I think you and your sister may have been sharing feelings about the hat song - or something in the room could have induced it both for you. Go with the tuning in thing though because it can only get better from there.
