Dude most stores said no xboxs til march. At least Oblivion will be out by then.

Well it doesn`t come out down under until March 2nd and I agree with Burnside on this its not a next-gen console, its just a suped up X-box in my opinion.

I`m waiting for the Revolution and PS3.

Yay I got mine. But 2 late cant "repoll".

I walked into the shop 2 days before Christmas and bought an Xbox 360 aswell as the Hard Drive. I'm probably one of the only people in the country that was able to do that.

I dont want one cause I think its stupid to pay that much right now for one when like in a year you could get one for like $20 at a garage sale cause they got sick of theirs and wanted the newer version. Thats how I my game cube cause the people wanted a 360, so they sold it. And I know gamecubes are supposed to be crap but I like them so who ever doesnt like them they can stick it.

No need to be so defensive! The Gamecube is great, anyway.

U do know microsoft pays more to make them than the price right now? Its my way of saying go to hell for making windows crash so much to Bill Gates.

^^Somehow I doubt that. Maybe they are losing money in relation to the amount of research money that was spent on creating the thing, but the hardware inside the 360 would be mass produced with standard materials. Probably 50-100 bucks (at the absolute most - and I think I'm being rather generous) for the materials.

I managed to get hold of one for my son, what I don't like about it is the fact most XBOX games for the original are noit compatable with it?

Other than that it is a great piece of kit and as long as my son is happy with it that is all that matters.

Not yet, but they are releasing patches which you can download which enables you to play different Xbox original games. Soon all of them will be available.



Actually it's around $40 to make each console. The reason the cost of electronics is always so high, is they company needs to make their money back on the research and development they make on the hardware and software. Even at the price they are being sold at now, Microsoft are losing around $90 per machine they sell. They make their money back when people buy games and acessories.
