Full Version: How was your Christmas weekend?
So, like the poll says, how was your Christmas? Mine was better than expected. Had a picnic on Christmas Day, and went to Stanwell Park beach on Boxing Day. I got sunburnt

It was good. But I ate too much. 
A lot of people came over...Some I didn't expect...And just about everyone brought food, so I thought it would be clever if I sampled all of it.

This is, by far, the worst Christmas I have ever had, for various reasons. But I wouldn't necessarily say to cancel the next one.
Went to a funeral . . . . how's that for an Xmas bummer?
To tell the truth, I've had better . . .
This Christmas was 'so-so' . . not the best I've had, but nothing to complain about either. I've enjoyed my time off from work, spent time with the Aunts, had a good dinner, went to a powwow and I got what I wanted for Christmas. So I can't say 'humbug' . . it was a nice Holiday!

The older my kids get, the more of a bummer Christmas gets to be...no more buying toys that have to be put together at midnight...leaving the plate of cookies and glass of milk and a paper bag full of hay for the reindeer.....$50 for a video game....used to be $50 would get lots of legos and matchboxes and they were thrilled to pieces......

My weekend was actually better then expected, not bad at all.
Nothing special really, like all the previous ones. I just spent it at home alone, alone in the darkness, lying down on the sofa thinking, wondering about life and destiny...

I didn't have a Christmas like I wished. The reason being I felt sad- first one since divorced and all.
But the baby had a blast and the food was good.
I didn't get to buy like I wanted- lack of money and I didn't get to buy Mackenzie the Weebly Wobbly treehouse.
I was sad.
I got her a necklace from the Dollar store though and a movie. That is all she got from me. But she got a lot from everyone else. She got clothes, toys, books, a jewelry box and purses. lol. She got everything imaginable.
I got a night night though.
