I was just wondering if any of you out there have any horror stories about your boss at work to share. Stupid thread idea? Maybe...but I'll use it as my excuse to vent...

My boss is a total A-hole. I work for a "nutritional" company as a graphic designer, so of course my boss is all like gung ho about dieting and exercise and all that. I understand that, yeah sure...eat right + exercise = good for you.. yay disgust.gif

Well for some reason, he like to comment on my face and it's really pissing me off. I'm moving to a new condo in the next few weeks so he says "nervous?"

"Nah," I replied

"Are you sure," he talks back in a smug voice. "You're breaking out again...look at all those zits! Either that or your eating bad food. Pizza and stuff all the time"

All the while with that freaking voice that he does. Like he's joking, but deep down likes to put down others about their appearance and eating habits in order to boost his own already overinflated ego.

He does it to everyone and seems to have a lot of enemies. There is no disliking this man, you just have to utterly hate him.

This just happened maybe 15 minutes ago so I'm taking this opportunity to post on work time in order to waste his money. And now I don't feel so bad about taking office supplies anymore either.

if someone said something like that to me, i would smack him right in the jaw or walk away and find an even better way to get my revenge. people don't even look at me the wrong way. i guess its my brooding, angry personality that works like jerk repellent. well, sometimes it attracts them. cops seem to dislike me. mostly, i have trouble with 40ish women who are immune to my dashing good looks grin2.gif laugh.gif

well, due to money restraints, I must deal with it until I find my real job. Then, my friend,......OH YEAH <in Duffman's voice>

You are like me then Bizarro...I dont take sh*t from my boss...I explode if my boss says something mean to me, so he is very nice these days.
I tell customers off too if they whine for no reason.
I work hard, and I know it, Then I donīt have to take s**t from anyone.

(this is why I had to quit so many jobs, Some bosses are used to, that their employees just takes it, And then someone comes along and tells them"-I donīt care who you are... Thats enough from you....Shut the f**k up")

They get pretty stunned by that.

my attitude is "let it slide"
nothing good can come of me telling him to f*ck off. Or anyone for that matter.
If there is friction, why make it worse? Plus, I'm dependant on the money for now.
Friggin' money.

Of course you have to think about the money first..but at the first opportunity you have to get a better job...tell it to him. Give him the finger.

Dust just think of the immense satisfaction you'll have when u do tell him where 2 shove his job tongue.gif
Unfortunately I once had a boss who believed that I was so devoted to my work that I wouldn't mind him telling the police that I was driving so that he would get off a drunk driving charge ( nevermind the fact that I would then be charged with driving without a license, dangerous driving and failing to stop!!!). Funnily enough I dropped him right in it AND told him where to shove the job.. ha ha.
Last I heard the business was going down the pan cos his chief skivvy/ secretary/ manager and housekeeper - all me by the way - had left REVENGE IS SWEET

one good thing comes from it: you have your pride. jobs come and go, but you always have to look at your face in the mirror. ive been fired for cussing my boss out before. you know what? he deserved it. he was cussing me out. funny, he wasn't fired...

ive also stripped down to my underwear in a restaurant full of people because my jackass boss told me he needed my uniform back in a condescending tone. that was classic. people clapped and cheered.

once, where i work now, a doctor ordered a set of golf clubs through the mail. personal items are not allowed to be sent to work, but some of these surgeons think they are special. the box weighed a good 75-100 lbs and i had to lug it up to his office. i walked right in and told his secretary i wanted to see him. she said he wasn't in. i left him a note explaining my caddy rates and that he owed me for taking his clubs to his office and i taped it right on his door. i signed my name and left my phone number on it. i haven't seen any more personal items come through in the 5 years since.

when you do things like that, people tend to avoid irritating you or even thinking of irritating you.

oh ya, i had a problem with a lady whining that i never wore an id badge once. i asked her if she knew my name and she said yes. i asked her if she recognized my face and she said yes. i then asked her why i needed a piece of plastic to identify who i am and she said because that is the rule. i taped the badge to a rubber band and whenever i went to her area i would stretch the rubberband around my head and wear it on my face with the little picture of myself facing people. i looked totally ridiculous and people laughed at me, but you know what it humiliated her everyday of the week until she finally asked me to stop wearing it.

Maybe you could take stress leave and sue him for the mental harrassment he has been giving you.

Dust ,I could allmost guarantee the girls in here could come out with the worst boss stories . I've been patted, poked and worse by bosses before . Mind you the last one who did it ended up wearing a large bowl of batter during the lunch rush . thumbsup.gif

I abuse my boss all the time. Having a boss is horror enough, making her pay for having me work there, that's what gets me through the day laugh.gif

Yeah, your boss is an a$$h@!e. You should insult him back when ever the oppurtunit comes up just for a while. Give him a taste of his own medicine and see if he like it. If he says something to you just tell him how you feel when he messes around with you.
