I've gone through the XBox support site, I've done everything I know to do... and I still can't get on XBox 360 Live. I was hoping someone here could help me. RoadRunner is my ISP, and I have a small hub/router connection that has been used in the past to connect multiple computers to the internet using my single cable modem. With this thing connected to the PC and XBox, the PC can get on the internet with no problems... in the XBox 360 Network Connection thingie, it detects that I am wired up, then detects the ISP, but it can not detect the DNS. Its very frustrating... I contacted tech support but they haven't gotten back to me. Can anyone here give me a hand getting it up and running? Thanks in advance! I never had the original XBox, so Live is something new to me... I hope I can get it running...

Are you running it manually or automatically?

Automatic... i tried to put in the manual DNS but it screwed up my internet connection for the PC

You have to use the manual DNS that you find on your PC....use that and it should work fine...
