jst found my notes (sad i know) bout this boss. use cerberus spam revolver (forward and triangle) repeatedly, as this shud knock blade from brother's hand and disarm him. roll away when other brother goes to attack. when they go to do 'ground pound' u can focus on one at a time as they both rush to corners and don't worry about attacking. other than that jst keep firing with E&I and make sure u damage the brothers equally to avoid horrible death by the remaining headless freak!

omg i was SO close to killing them both. the red guy was dead. and the blue guy had less than a 4th of his health left, but then that piece of sh** killed me. i was so friggin angry. im done right now cuz i cant take this anymore, but ill try again later.

jst keep tryin, u'll get em eventually. Then the fun really starts! Honestly, its awesome - some of the most entertaining fights ever with Vergil coming up!

one of the best games ive ever played. If someone hasnt tryed this out...please take everyone else advice "TRY IT". Everyone that has played this game has never been disappointed. If you play Devil MAy Cry 2...dont do it that game SUX i tell you. Devil may cry 1 and 3 are the BEST. Try and im sure you will like them...even if you don think they will be good just try them once.

i must admit i love this game too i have all 3 of the games now and i have completed the first and second one but not the third. They are fantastic and i would highyl recommend playing them. The action is intense 10/10

Well Lady, I beat it too, but on the Normal Mode of the Japanese version (you know that the "Hard" mode of the Japanese version is the "Normal" mode for the US). Anyways, I prefer the system used in this version, because when you die you appear in the room before the boss fight so it's actually a LOT more forgiving than the US version.

This game ROCKS!!! I luv the cool moves you can make (Fireworks and Free Ride are my fav). This is a game NOT to be missed, and the difficulty is a bonus point for me

DMC2 is fine to waste a couple of hours, but where's the storyline?!!! Definitely hope they make a 4th one, it would be a shame to end it when the series is jst gettin gd...

Well, your wishes have been answered, because on E3 Capcom announced they would do a 4th Devil May Cry and even showed a couple of screenshots and a video. I think you can find them on IGN

he's jst cool, plain and simple! i know it's overdone at times 'it would be a shame if u ended up as jst a pretty stain', but hey that's wot makes the game so great - it wouldn't be half as much fun without all the cinematics

Although it was short, my fav cutscene was the fight between Dante and Lady.

i like that one too, but i also LOVE the fight with Arkham when u can use Vergil too - i wish that guy was on my side all the time!
Haven't got that far on DMC1 yet, does Nelo Angelo (Vergil) get totally wasted in the third fight? or is there a possibility of him coming back in a later sequel?

I'd like to know that too, actually. With Devil may cry its gets repetitive, as such i can't play it for hours on end like some other gmes. (taking me a wile to complete )

DMC1 is no way near as gd as 3 - i know people say it's the best cos it's the original, but i jst think the whole back story with Vergil and Dante is awesome. maybe it's cos i played DMC3 first, but i'm havin aweful trouble getting used to the controls on 1 and i hate the fact that u can't replay missions straight away

DMC3 lets u adapt to your own fighting style (trickster, gunslinger, etc)
DMC3 has a crappyweapon thoguh....anyone who needs telling what this is should be drowned
I think 3 is better, though. the ending of 1 was corny, heres hoping 3's ending won't disapoint

always a trickster!!! levelled up gunslinger the other day on mission 18 (where u can fight all the bosses over again) and it's kinda fun to play around with doppleganger, but i've found that i totally miss the agility if i don't have trickster on - i mean, wot do u do when Vergil goes into helm breaker mode if u can't dash outta the way?

Me? Gunslinger all the way. At least until the final fight with Vergil, that must be around the only time where I used tricksters. Anyways, gunslinger when properly used can be a great defensive sytem- you just gotta have a good timing-

timing? hah! my strategy is kick ass as fast as possible, then leg it when the enemy tries to wham back - seems to have worked so far though
wondering, has ne1 managed to kill the hundred enemies during the credits to get the extended sequence? i keep getting to 99 and then running outta time

I've got a question: can you do in 3 the evasime move Dante used in DMC2? You know, the cartwheel.

don't think so, certainly not in trickster neway. u can back flip and front flip and roll, but i've never been able to cart wheel.

thats it. i am convinced that the boss is physically impossible. i tried yest again, and still i cant beat them. i did so well yesterday, and then this time, i could barely get in any hits on them except with my guns. i had to use all 4 of my health items almost immediatly. that boss fight completly ruins the game and i most likely wont be playing it again for a long time, if at all, for that matter. i have no clue how anyone can freakin beat those bastards. everyone makes it sound so easy.

USE THE CHEAT select the image of dante with steam coming off him and u will have infinite devil trigger - A&R r impossibly easy after that. don't give up on the entire game cos of one boss fight!

uh...yeah. i still cant. i cant use devil trigger at all. i switched the character thing, but it still wont allow me to use it. since i dont even have the devil gauge, i think you have to wait until youre actually supposta get the power, which is retarted since it is a CHEAT code. that pretty much defeats the whole purpose of calling it one.

Crap - dat's jst pants! only thing i can suggest is playing up to level where u get DT on heaven and hell mode (one shot kills all - including urself) after the first fight with vergil, then going back to normal mode.
or u could try it on easy....

i tried heaven and hell mode. died about 15 seconds into it. now THAT is literally impossible. the enemies in it are very hard. i dont wanna restart my game. im just gonna have to practice until im good anough to beat the boss. i also watched a demo video on that boss fight. i think it may have been on easy mode, but the person playing made that boss seem like a walk in the park. they killed them easily and very fast, with only maybe getting hit 3 times. but it is not that easy in the least.

practice makes perfect seriously though, i suggest u go orb farming in the first level, u can do it in about a minute and a half and get about 2000 orbs!!! well worth it - buy urself loadsa blue orbs, many, many large vital stars and as many moves for ur style/ weapon as poss.
takes a while but u know, at least u'll finally beat A&R

Ok, i actually tried to play the game again, except this time on easy mode. The thing is, the game really isnt any easier, and i died on the first goddamned boss. I gave up right away because i knew how worked up and angry i was gonna get if i kept playing. I dont know why i cant get anywhere in the game. I swear to God, this game will be the death of me.

You need to level up on the first level and I promise it will be easier! I'm on level 9 in Dante Must Die Mode and if I can get that far I'm sure you can.

Level up, by orb farming on the first level - takes ages, but you'll be able to buy all the rebellion moves. Alternatively, try using sword master style.

Trust me, it's not as hard as it seems

I haven't tried in a long time. Last time I tried I actually restarted the game on Easy mode and died in the second level. It sucks. I'll have to practice soon though so I can actually get somewhere in it.

I know it sucks, but if you've beaten the first DMC in Normal, then you're way better than me: only got to the fourth stage

I couldn't beat the first fight with Virgil on Normal mode. I tired hard....for awhile, but then just gave up. God, these are games that you have to keep playing continuously in order to beat them. You can't just stop for a month or 2, go back to the game, and expect all of your skill to be there. It's way too easy to get rusty at these games, ya know?

Yeah, I know. It happened the same with Jak 2. I remember that I would complete several missions until I found one that was so incredibly hard that I would almost throw away the controller in anger and stop playing for around a couple of months

Ive played Jak 2 so much now that I have almost completely mastered that game, and very few missions are hard anymore for me. Still an kick ass game though.

But with DMC3, I don't understand what makes that game so much harder than the others. I don't really notice too much of a difference. Maybe it's just that they don't let you turn around so easily when youre fighting and you always end up getting stabbed in the back.

Well, that's just one of the many things. Or that the action is so hectic that before you notice you're on the verge of dying. An easy game it ain't, no sir (and I played the Japanese version of it, which was easier than the NTSC version)

if you want to unlock all the secrets, i suggest you start with easy difficulty, then normal etc.. you get one extra costume for dante everytime you finish the game, and each costume have its own special ability, during credits fight, try to beat all 100 monsters before the credits ends so you can see the alternate ending. during the part you fight together with your brother virgil, insert the second joypad and press start, now the second player can control virgil, this is also going for the dobleganger special ability, enjoy

I have played trough the first game on easy a couple of times and now i´m trying to play the 3:rd but its difficult as hell, at its what i think.
Feels like i´ve died a houndred times, and i´m only on the second level.
I´m not the a good player cause I find it hard to think which moves your gonna make as the same time someone kicking my ass.

well i justw ant peoples opinion, there isnt much left to tell, will it continue with old or young dante, and will lucia re-appear!? what do you think???
