And a HARDER version of DMC 3? My God, that game is hard enough as it is. Easy mode is even a pain in the ass. That's why I don't play the game. Never even got past mission 5.

There's a few unanswered questions in this thread. The one that stuck in my head was "What do you have to do to get Super Dante?". In our version, you have to beat the game on DMD mode. It's worth it if you have a sense of humour and if you like a sense of accomplishment. If not, stick to easy auto.

I started a new DMC game on easy awhile ago. I got to say, it's not really any easier. I did end up getting past the mission 5 boss, which was about the only thing that was easier so far. Right now I'm stcuk on mission 7. I got to the fight with Virgil, which turns out to be nearly impossible. It's too hard to land a lot of hits on him without him killing you. I was killed before even landing one hit on him before. The Gamespot online guide says "Believe it or not, your first encounter with your brother isn't all that challenging...", which is a HUGE load of crap.
The strategy it gives works better than anything else, but it's still way too hard. I'm going to sell this game and buy the Special Edition, which has the difficulty problems worked out, thankfully. For once, I'd like to use my orbs to upgrade my weapons instead of wasting all of them on health items.

FAQs are a waste of time, IMO. I'd much prefer to find my own technique to kill something than follow someone else's. Works better too.
I'm not great at this game, I'm even worse at the original. I've made it past Vergil and he's not easy but he's not difficult. I died the first time, but that just let me figure out what to expect. I find perseverance and practice make for a better game.
Could you let me know what the Special Edition is like? I'm curious about it, seems good.

I cannot wait to get my hands on this game come Feb. 5. I was having a serious debate with myself on whether I should get DMC4 or Turok first, but DMC won. Turok will have to wait a few weeks. Both games are going to be amazing, though.

Devil May Cry 4 will be multiplatform. I have PC version reserved.

PC version doesn't come out for awhile longer, though. I also hope you don't plan on using the keyboard to play it. I can't imagine how aweful that would be.

So...I stayed up until 4:30 this morning just so I could download and play the DMC4 demo. This game is AMAZING. This game takes everything good from the entire series and builds upon it, as well as implementing what the developers learned what was wrong with DMC3. This is the best entry in the series. I can't wait to get it.
