I love to experience as being a werewolf. I really want to have that kind of ability. For some reason, werewolf stands out out of any other supernatural creatures.
Am i the only one here? I am pretty sure there are quite a few people who love werewolves here.

How do you know that werewolves are real or have all these amazing abilities? Are you just going by what you've heard?

Personally I believe in neither werewolves or vampires except as myth and legend (i.e. completely non-extant entities) and I lose quite a bit of confidence in someone who believes in them so easily without even considering the science behind the matter. People say science can't explain everything, and they spout that out everytime someone questions their beliefs, just because you like something doesn't mean it's real.

I love werewolves! But I dont believe they exist. If someone believes, actually, I dont care.
If they would exist, I wouldnt like those amazing abilities here mentioned. I love the fact that they transform. I consider a werewolf as a normal wolf, just bigger and stronger, not like those ape-like creatures in some movies, that jumps and climbs on the ceilling

I don't believe in werewolves, although they are an interesting creature from European mythology and folklore.
Notice how I said interesting; I would rather not be a werewolf, nor have them near me. Although it seems cool that they have superhuman strength, remember that they also need to feed during their transformation, preferably on humans and/or sheep, meaning that if you turned into one, it's very likely you could end up killing one of your neighbors, or even someone from your own family. That's not to mention that in almost all werewolf accounts, they don't have control over their transformation.

They are a myth ! Really could you imagine becoming one, turning into one and then in the mornning finding you have killed everyone in your home, and then some. The powers would be cool but you would have no control over them, hence death of who ever is in front of you.

I've always had a fascination with werewolves, but always get angry while watching movies about them because they are always anthropomorphic man-wolves that look more like wererats instead....but as to whether or not they are real, I say no they are just myth. I think a werewolf would transform into a proper wolf if they existed.
Most people who say they are wolves or can turn into them should look up the disease Lycanthropy. The others just need to stop living in a fantasy and get themselves a life instead of trying to be 'cool'.

I, like some of the other posters, have always been interested in the folk lore of werewolves. The stories and movies were almost always tragic and the beasts were awesome physical beings. Their powers were varied and I always preferred stories about people that could control the changes at will.
All that being said, do I believe that werewolves exist?
No. Although stranger things have been found on this earth.

i belive in werewolves, now one of you is going to say that its pyhsicly impossible for a human body to take that kind of stress turing into a werewolf/wolf body
but its physicly impossible for the bee to fly, yet it flys around almost all day, but its physicly impossible for it to fly?? and scientist still dont know how it flys, it should be impossible for it to fly , yet it does.
so a human may be able to turn into a werewolf, with the use of magic or if they were cursed. and all it would take is a long time ago a shaman put a curse on a man /woman and then on the full moon he/she mabye shall bite another human and the curse is then passed on and it could have been doing that for millions of years and been passed down to some unlucky person today........ though i belive the bray road beast was a HELLHOUND ( a dog from hell, sent to torment us) i still think somewhere out there theres 1 person who still has the curse........

Interesting to consider, perhaps, is that far from all werewolf stories, around the world, speak of "human/wolf hybrids" as we've been fed through TV and so on. Often, really, they are very different.
For instance, in traditional scandinavian/swedish folklore, you could become a werewolf through a curse (not bite) or similar. The were looked exactly like any other wolf - no hybrid/human features, except certain give aways: The werewolf could have normal human clothes "under" its wolf pelt. You could cure the werewolf (which did not neccessarily appear only at full moon, as I understood it was a 24/7 curse) by calling out its human name, which would transform it back. There is a typical story about a warrior who was turned into a werewolf by a witch, he went home and surprised his wife by putting his paws on her back when she was getting water from the well, in surprise/confusion she called out his name - not realizing he was a wolf but thinking he was back home from the war - which cured him and he was turned back into a human.
In many cultures there are stories of were-hyenas, were-leopards and so on, wolves are definitely not the only animal someone could turn into, according to traditional folklore (and unlike Hollywood lore, I suppose!)
Just food for thought

Myself I do not believe werewolves truly exist, but I enjoy reading about them, it's a neat idea.

also i belive there are 2 kinds of werewolves
2 leged, they walk on 2 legs like humans while in there werewolf form, and only ocassinly go to 4's ( plz dont imagine a wolf walking on 2's, try to imagine the werewolf off harry potter) ( the 2 leged one)
4 leged, it looks like a wolf, but it has more strength speed and other stuff, and its a werewolf....

It's becuase no on has told a bee it can't fly!
It is not physically impossible for a bee to fly. People only started saying that because they thought that bees had a huge body for their wingsize, when in reality it only looked like it had a large body becuase of all the hair.

I do love Werewolves and vampires, but for me it just stays in the fantasy section, i would also make a very poor vamp or were considering i feel faint at the sight of blood if it is right in front of me
I have many books on the myths and legends surrounding reported sightings, it is a very interesting subject and would be unbelievable scary if these creatures did exist.
I can really understand why people are so attracted and would want to become either a vamp or a were, think of all the movies, books etc that have been done, this most certainly has contributed to upping their profile and for people to search for ways to become one, many cultures have different opinions as to how some one is turned into either one of the undead or one of the hairy's and I'm pretty confident that some have tried, but most likely have failed.
I think it all comes down to the simple fact that people are not content to be just human, they want more power, superhuman strength, longer life span or to be immortal, who wouldn't want any of these things if they were handed on a plate for the offering?
I could be wrong, they might exist, i believe in ghosts and aliens so it would be wrong off me to totally disrespect the whole idea, there have been many reporting over many years so maybe just maybe there is something in it.

Actually lufia, I do like this thread and have been watching and posting in it since it was made. Which is why I was so pleased to see it back in the first page and so dismayed to see that it had been resuscitated after
6 months of inactivity for the sole comment of "I like werewolves". Please forgive me for expecting that when there are several current threads dedicated to werewolves that this particular one should be used for such a comment. There are a lot of people here that feel the same way.
Thankfully, there have been some interesting and worthwhile posts made since.

If you really want to experience the feeling of shifting into the wolf(or whatever)then you really should have a look into lucid dreaming. Its a very real shifting experience and you take on all the qualities of the animal you have shifted into just naturally in the dream. Its just Ive dream shifted into the wolf for years, I started by just going lucid and then just shifting by kinda getting angry and attacking people around me with claws and teeth(what I call standing wolf)..then I started to get bored with that so I started to run in dreams instead which was very fun. It also seemed change my standing wolf(werewolf)into a normal wolf which wasnt as angry. It was more of a playful wolf or something and so I kinda gave up the violence for the running experience because its just as thrilling because you fully shift into the wolf and feel very real hey. Like you can feel your tongue flying around your mouth when your really running and happy hey, its trippy and a great feeling.
So yeah everyone can try to shift I guess, its just a matter of getting good at dreaming it. If you want to shift you just basically try to shift how
you think you would, and you do(into whatever you want)personally I find running is the best way to shift into a full wolf but you gotta run with your hands and I found that shifting into the shark was just a matter of thinking it and kinda flicking my feet together in water to form a tail like a mermaid and the rest went from there instantly. So yeah.. if you really want to shapeshift, lucid dreaming is a good way to start because it does give you insight into the minds of the animals you shift into and almost like a taste the next day after you wake up. Its kinda like you dont know what you did the night before sometimes too because after I dream shift somtimes I forget the rest of the dream after the actual shift. I go with the flow of the animal alot and it teaches me what the animal is like, and why it is like that etc. Its pretty cool.
So I love werewolves but now Ive learned that the lion is the king of the jungle.

But not in water nor near the edge of it.
