I was having trouble sleeping one night and i though i heard things like tap's knocks and other such things, but the one that was really scaring me was a very slight mumbling or chanting , i sat up and tried to foucus on it, then it started to become loader and loader till i was at the point of jumping out of my window in fright, then it suddenly stopped, my heart was pounding! has enyone ever had such and expirience or explenation ?

No, but I do that kind of chanting from times to times, dunno why BTW...
I remember that some days ago I also did it, but I can't remember how was the song, I can only sing them when I feel like, dunno why I do this, but at the time it looks like the most reasonable thing to do, and I love it...

Mostar,
Can you write down (in any way) what the chant was?? Even if it is bizzar or not complete it could help understand what it was.
The only "chanting" I've ever heard was something my ex boyfriend (of 12 years) his mother was Budist.. And she taught me a chant they would do (it still comes to my mind when I think of it!) . I only know how to say it , but not how to type it.. and I don't want to type it here as I would not to offend anyone of this religion.
Anyway, I hope you know what I mean.. but can you try and type what the chant sounded like?

lots a deep ha sounds.
You mean like a continuous A? starting low, like a whisper and not very clear (this is one of the most frightening ones) and then going up in volume until you can understand it more clearly?
I also do that sometimes, and yeah, I know that it's weird to do these, my chantings, I would describe them as both beautiful, scary and mysterious, but enough about me.
Have you asked any one else if they heard anything? you should do some research on your own, if no one else near your place or in your house heard it then you should see a doctor, you might be allucinating or there might be something wrong, as a last resource I think you should have an expert check for any magnetic fields in that area, the magnetic fields seem to be related with ghosts sightings, some say that it messes with a person and he/she starts to allucinate, also I've seen documentarys where there was a place that had low magnetism, but when a ghost appeared the magnetic fields would go trough the tops, ghosts and magnetic fields seem to be related one way or another...

No eals heard it, this happens to me sometimes but Nothing like this, what i mean is when i cant get to sleep somtimes my mind foucuses on things like a clock or the airconditioning or something eals and makes it louder and more annoying, but nothing like this.
As scary as my house is i do not belive it was ghost,im not sure. I remember once talking to a friend in my room about ghosts and he said " you see adnan, if i were to hear or see something normal i would interpret it as a ghost" and just when he finished my poster fell, hit and hit a cup which landed on the floor. And i was scared one night because i watched that "ring" movie and i was telling my self tere was no such thing and i sed out load " Well if there where a ghost here it would give me a sigh in 3 2 1" and thats when the same poster i tied up broke the tape it was held by and knocked something over....lol haunted poster.

Hmm... Do you have any siblings or family members who listen to a radio at night and may have happened to have a song playing that did that? I know it's fully possible that it wasn't that... but I've realized through experiance that sometimes the sounds that scare me at night and don't seem right are from a pet, a radio, or even the fan hitting something. Like if my fan isn't pointing away from my wall, my Orlando Bloom poster, which has plastic straighteners on each end, will repeatedly knock against the wall and sounds like someone gently hitting my door.

Exploding head syndrome is a rare condition first reported by a British physician in 1988 (PMID 2899248) that causes the sufferer to occasionally experience a------tremendously loud----- noise as if from within their own head, usually described as an ----------explosion or a roar----------. -----------This usually occurs within an hour or two of falling asleep-----------, but is not the result of a dream. Although perceived as --------tremendously loud,---------- the noise is usually not accompanied by pain. Attacks appear to increase and decrease in frequency over time, with several attacks occurring in a space of days or weeks followed by months of remission. --------------Sufferers often feel a sense of terror and anxiety after an attack--------------, accompanied by ----------elevated heart rate------------. Attacks are also often accompanied by perceived--------------- flashes of light or difficulty in breathing----------.
all that has ------- ------- on it i have NOTHING what so ever in common thats why i belive that iu do not have exploding head due to the fact it only happend ONCE. i cant be fu** to explain why like it appense after someone falls asleep not before.

Long time ago, when I was I think 12 years old, i used to live in the same room with my (then) 10 years old sister. One night we woke up to the sound of a flute playing some weird song! we heard it coming from the living room, and it was sooo clear! it was like a sad/sepulcral song! and my house is big, so it definitely wasn't coming from some other house.

Once when I was asleep I heard someone crying. My eyes were closed at that moment. I got up and the voice was very clear, was of a girl. As soon as I switched on the lights the voice dissappeared. The voices were coming from the balcony and I stay on the 20 th floor.

wow... really?
actually, the witches i was referring to, as in that whole scenario of the chanting witches, are female. which is why i said it was safe to rule that paranormal activity out
so unless that whole theory was crap, then the male chanting voice wasn't these witches. ok?

Now, now, there's no need for that. Take a deep breath and calm down.
It just so happens that a similiar thing happened to me. I was 11 at the time and under some pretty harsh emotional stress. When I was 11 I had pretty bad anxiety and night terrors, especially under times of emotional stress. It was late at night and I was sitting up in my bed angry about something when I heard strange noises. I couldn't tell what they were at first, but as they grew louder I could hear telephones ringing, people walking around talking and answering the phones. Basically, it sounded like a big office. The voices I heard were all jumbled together and indistinct, like what you here when you're sitting in a cafeteria, however I did manage to pick out a few phrases such as "Yes, I sent the file." "Hello, hello?" and "Yeah, ok." There was more but I can't remember them at the moment. I highly doubt it was anything paranormal, just the result of a poor mental state at the time.
Now understand that I'm not implying that you're crazy or anything, but it's more likely that it was caused by something mental rather than paranormal. Remember, there's always the possibility that you could have been lucid dreaming.
