another one: what if nasuada gets assasinated because elva gets killed in the next?


what if eragon fufills his promise and turns elva back though... eragon will have too put wards around nasuada so she wont get killed.

I'm almost half-way through Eragon. I haven't read it in awhile. But I really love the book so far. The story is great. Once I'm done, I will definately read Eldest.

why isnt anyone reading these books...

Eragon will have to recover before he can put some energy back into his belt jewels before he should place wards on people like Nasuada and roran.

yea the original eragons dragon was white.

an yea eragon needs to rest for a few days then pump the gems fulll of energy so he can put up ward and not die instantly if galbotorix(sp?) attacks someone

arya didnt need wards in eldest, she couldblock herself easily.
i think the rider might be roran or someone ese from carvahall or even a person from the varden.If not that it will probly be a elf. i'm not sure of the color, but if i could pick it i'd make it deep green.

Yea hrogthgar was awsome to. who will be the new king? i think either eragon or orik because eragon is in the clan, but orik isa dwarf, so he knows what hes doing.If nasuada gets killed in the third will eragon take the varden like she asked him to? O and put some new topics up to talk about k?

I have a quick question, is Murtagh really dead? I read through it and it said he was dead, so I stopped reading there. He was my favorite character.

What is this book about? I have a friend who read it and loved it.

I read Eragon and I thought it was neat. Then I read read Eldest and I found it really predictable. Did any of you? BTW Do any of you guys like Arya? I just really don't like her character.

Maybe they're not predictable for anyone who hasn't read a book before, or has just landed on this planet, but for the rest of us, the plot twists were visible half way through the first chapter.

That's great. I bought Eragon for my son last year. I read it before he even had a chance. Some mom I am. Glad to hear about the movie!!

Iv watched a lil behind the scenes, they seemed to have ignored alot of stuff...Brom isnt very old, but i think theyve placed a good actor as him...but Eragon...well he has a british accent ^o)

I've learned not to expect too much out of movies based on books due to the Harry Potter series. They left sooooooo much stuff out and skipped over so many things too quickly, which I understand cant be done in 2 1/2 hrs or whatever, but this is my suggestion---- They should make hour long episodes kinda like how they do tv shows nowadays, chapter by chapter so they get everything they need to get out of the book, can i get an amen?!

Back to Eragon/Eldest-- I LOVED these books they were soo good.
I don't think Eragon will be king of the dwarves or the varden because of the whole need to balance out the power of the riders thing but I think Orik is a good suggestion for the dwarf king. He was liked by Hrothgar and he's of the same clan and Paolini has already distinguished him as a character so it would make sense to make him king.
I thought that an awesome way to make a plot twist, how angela predicted he would be betrayed by his own family and then Murtagh turns out to be his brother, he totally set up roran as turning evil and being the betrayer because of his obsessment over saving Katrina. How he killed that one guard just because he identified him as roran, and his remarks that it would have been better if some of the villagers had been killed rather than tagging along and being a nuissance.
Anyway, can't wait to find out who the new rider will be and for the werecat's prophesies to be used (finding the weapon under the tree when there is no more hope, or something like that). Anyone know when he plans on releasing the third book????

for all those who didn't figure out murtagh was eragon's brother and morzan his father: re-read the book!
the clues are all there
he had to have a family betrayal, and roran is too good, he's not going to become king or what ever cause it would tie him down, one of the themes of the book is all "being your own man" and "being 'truly free'"
most the character's are based off of character from LOTR
for example:
eragon=mix of frodo & Aragon
Arya=the elf person
Brom=gandalf
nusaud=awen..arwen, the blond woman, not the elf

there are some unique characters, but still
eldest wasn't as good
not as smooth
you get tired of roran trying to find food for every one, no action

I have to say that I have enjoyed the Inheritance series a lot. Though it did feel like it was moving fairly slow sometimes. Before I go on, I must say that the movie stunk it up horribly. I think that this series could have been made as good as or close to the LOTRings movie series. Though I think that there in no way in heck they can do it now with such a horrible beginning.

I like the different twists and turns in the series all be it they are sometimes pretty obvious. I think Paolini has done a great job for a young author.

As for future events to come in the series, it’s hard to say because there are some many options and directions Paolini can take it. I think that Roran as well as Arya have great chances of becoming riders. Maybe somehow Katrina will be introduced to the dragon eggs and one will hatch for her, though there is no information pointing towards something so implausible. I think it would make an awesome twist to somehow have a dwarf rider, but I think that is pushing it. I do believe that Orik has a huge chance of becoming the next dwarf king although this will probably not happen. This may because he is going to become the first of his kind to become a rider. It’s is hard to say.

With that being said, Eragon had his butt handed to him by his brother Murtagh and needs some serious help. He is no where near powerful enough right now and seems extremely weak compared to Murtagh let alone Galbatorix. I think we will soon see the werecats prophecies come into play as Eragon no longer has a weapon and is not powerful enough.

Either way it’s been a great entertaining series thus far, so on with the next one already!

i always thought that either the new dragon would go to Orik so that there could be riders of all races, or the new dragon would go to Arya because you know how eragon wants to love her but both parties have to be willing, then maybe arya and eragon and saphira and the other dragon could go on a double date.

although according to some online game, orik gets a orange dragon (front cover of brisingr) which was the last game and they open up some vault (cant remember the name) mentioned by that werecat, and find thirteen more eggs and Arya gets a green dragon (original cover plan)

but the only thing i cant quite remember is, the last egg reaining in galbatorixs lair is it a male or female??

if its male then Arya will get it. and if its female then Orik will get it

You say you get this information from a game? Sounds like everything is going to blow open and have no structure. Not sure what to think...

I have enjoyed the series too and legoman i agree with you, the movie sucked they could've done a lot better, but then again i didn't expect it to be great but i didn't expect it to be so lousy either Anyway i think i better reread both novels as i had no clue what you people were talking about, i think its been 3 years since i last read them

The new book will be called brisinger, And good new The Itwas also annouced the he will be contuining the series past book three. The 3rd and final book was origanally supposed to be call glaeder like the elf dragon but it has been changed to brisinger and they will be wrighting more books i cant wait sept 20th the book comes out baby im reading it as soon as i can.
