Sugar rush lands man in prison for life

January 23 2006

Qena, Egypt - An elderly Egyptian who brutally murdered his wife after she refused to add an extra spoon of sugar in his tea was condemned Monday to life imprisonment, court sources said.

Hassan Ahmed Mohammed, a man in his 80s, electrocuted his wife Ansaf Amin Yusef and chopped up her body when their 40 years of matrimony turned sour over the fateful spoon of sugar.

The criminal court in Qena, a Nile city 640km south of Cairo, ruled Monday that Mohammed would spend the rest of his life behind bars. -

There's a lot more to it than sugar of course. They probably had a lot of tension building up prior to the event.

I know it seems silly but there are times for me that most stupidist little thing will set me off into a rage. After I calm down and look back I am like "I cant believe that set me off." He might be in jail thinking the same thing

how is it that people live apparently "normal" lives for 80 years and then one day do something stupid for a stupid reason like this?

I agree with that jesspy . . I tend to get hot tempered sometimes, but the key is to learn how to control it.

seriously, in britain its probably against the law to deny someone sugar in their tea...treason or something...
Weird_Al_Wonnabe
A hem! Im from britain... Also, the thing with tea is actually quite stereotypical, i havent seen 1 posh person who drinks tea, they all drink coffee. Anyway, in china they think that tea leaves can tell the future or something like that
