Hey everyone, I'm a landscape and wildlife photographer, is anyone else on this forum a photographer? professional or amateur it does matter i'd love to hear from others that enjoy photographing this beautiful life. I photograph the things I like on the side as another source of income, my day job is working with a pro photographer, I do all of the retouching and digital manipulation as well as being one of the photographers that work there. I love to photograph the Adirondacks of new york state (where i live) and I love canada, and go there regularly. Well let me know if any of you are photographers or have an interest in it. If you like I can direct you to where you can see some of my work, and i would love to see yours.

I enjoy landscape photography, I'm not a pro, but I've captured some good landscape pics. I like snapping pics of the hills and the mountains (Rocky Mountains) where I live. When I get a few loaded into the comp, I'll post them.

I do a bit of photograpgy, but sadly, I don't enjoy taking digital photos so none of mine ever make it to the comp, I've got my precious little Canon A-1 SLR (1975 and purrs like a kitten....not literally) and a few good lenses and everything else I need for some awesome pics while out and about, hiking, what have you, a delightful hobby.

Me too! I'm a amatuer and love nature! Here me on the Guadelupe river. Water stays 55 degrees years round and natural spring water from the ground. Many caves.
This pic looks like I'm freakin' floating on my cooler of beer. Oh divine beer! LOL, nah, I actually have one raft for myself and one for my beer and food. I'm actually prepping my belongs as the water was starting to move faster towards the waterfall.

I have an ol' Minolta X-370 that I
loooove.

Here are some pics I've taken:
This is from Dalarna in Sweden.

Not wildlife, but a shopping mall in Moskva, Russia. I didn't just take this pic, I also developed the film and the photo in my former school's darkroom. This is one of my all-time favourite pics, that's why I'm posting it.

Sweden again, this time near Härryda, which is near Gothenburg. Looks a bit like a fantasy painting to me, just add a dragon or two.

I need to learn how to make thumbnails...

there is this small group of bald eagles near me that i have been trying to photography well for some time, they are always out of range. I really need to get a longer lens. Has anyone else tried to photography something that just really didn't want its picture taken?
Photographing wildlife is somewhat new for me, i've always focused on landscapes/seascapes

I like photographing animals more than people, cause they don't know whats happening so they don't pose or become self-concious. Yeah, you just need a long lens and a tripod, or you could spend the next several years of your life attemptig to befriend the eagles until you are invited to the nest...

I've set aside money to buy myself a nice lens for wildlife photography, the longest i have now is only a mere 210mm. All of my lens have fit me perfectly for what i needed them for, but now i really need a longer lens

actually, I do photo as well. Landscapes, architecture, portraits and have done weddings. It's a beautiful expression. I'm still old-school though, I like my 35mm, but it's huge to drag around. next purchase will be a digi,

I grew up using film, but there are so many benifits to digital that i would never go back. Digital as gone beyond film. I thought about doing weddings on the side for some extra money, but i'm not too sure i'd care to do it.

sure, wedding photography can be, well, cheesy, but there are ways of creating a romantic ambiance to a photo that can be fun. And you can incorporate landscaping with the wedding pics. One shoot I did, we did it in a beautiful huge water garden, (with permission from the owners) you can't even see that it's in a backyard, the couple surrounded by flowers and trees and pond. Made a nice effect.
and yeah, the extra bucks are nice too.
