okay, so i tried your technique for AP, however it was in the afternoon since i worked that night. after about 10 minutes, i felt kind of heavy and a tugging sensation in my feet. it was really cool, and i just wanted to ask this: does AP, or can AP enhance psychic powers such as telekenesis or even pyrokenesis?

Unfortunely, I can't really see the four in the morning technique working for me. I can't ever get my mind clear when I wake up at that time. A lot more things go through my mind more at that time than before going to bed. I also have an annoying habit of speaking Irish in my mind when I wake up aswell hmm.gif .
Well, a few days ago, I had a weird awakening. One of the only things I remember is waking up for a second but kind of falling back asleep. I think I was Lucid Dreaming because I had my eyes close yet could see my room but only barely. I felt extremely weird and then I heard a very eerie noise. I honestly had no clue if I was dreaming or awake. I'd say I was half and half. Then I managed one clear thought in my mind and that was to use the rope technique and I think then as the feeling of fuzziness got stronger and then I felt like I 'got out'. But at one stage, I could have sworn I was looking at my astral body which was only a bit away from my normal body. This is what makes it feel like a dream. (I mean, I sure don't know anything of a third form of body). So it could have been a dream but I know I was telling myself to use the rope technique.
So I honestly don't know. It was kind of like I was drifting in and out of consciousness. But I can't remember waking up instantly but I felt some weird form of jolt but I woke up at around 7 in the morning. I can easily tell this occurance happened during the night cause it was dark.
Either something else more complicated, or there are such things as accidental lucid dreams.

That was a great time to AP. sorry to say, but you let it slip. What you did is rare. You put you concious mind in both the astral body and phisical one. Thats why you could see out of your closed eyes, and thats why you saw your astral body. And if in the astral world something seems out of place, you might fall into a sleep. But dont ever tell yourself its a dream if it feels really real. If it doesnt feel real, tell yourself its a dream.

By the way sephiroth, aren't you suppose to wake up at 4. not go to sleep at 4? huh.gif

And i never heard of hypnagogia it would be great if you posted some info.. But for now im going to bed il check the topic first thing after school tomorow thumbsup.gif

Hypnagogia is the collective experience of being in half-sleep. If you've ever been very tired before and dozed while sitting up, or with your eyes open, you may get bombarded with random, almost psychedelic sensations and images. It also happens right before you fall asleep and right when waking up, although since you don't usually remember right when you fall asleep for a good night's rest, it's best to try and experience it during short 5-15 minute naps. Personally I've always had these experiences, but not until now have I really been remembering and looking into them. The less sleep I get per night, the drowsier I am during the day. In class, for example, I have gotten the ability to fall "asleep" with my eyes open, but my body will still be writing notes. And no one knows I'm asleep. Really though my mind is elsewhere in some very intense and quick psychedelic experience. This also happens when I doze off for a few seconds when I'm comfortable. Often I'll hear voices like they're right in my ear, saying things, or having conversations. Other times I'll see images or feel almost light enough to be just an astral body, so to speak. It's a fascinating experience and, for me at least, very easy to achieve.

The point of this, is that although I can't do it yet, Hypnagogia is a very easy state to achieve, and with practice you can come to control your hallucinations (trust me, these are very psychedelic) and either remember them and treat them as a mystic experience, or control them so you can lucid dream and astrally project at will.

Raven,

Have you ever AP?

Raven,

Have you ever AP?

Indeed I believe I have. When I was young up until a few years ago I'd have these ultra-realistic dreams where I'd be a bodiless consciousness, being floated and pulled around my house by something, even though I was still in my bed. When I would awake I'd jolt and be almost screaming in terror because of the feel of helplessness. So I believe I've projected, although I've never done it through will.

For me it came naturally, I've always had it, just never noticed it or used it to the degree I do now. The way I have made the experiences very frequent is the dangerous method of getting less and less sleep. I used to get around 8 hours a night, and now it's dipped down to around 5. My tiredness takes control during the day when I'm doing quiet mental activities like sitting in class, and the experiences come in waves as I doze off.

To tell the truth, i think we all have. I had a similar experience as yours : Once when i was little, I got out of bed and headed for my living room. It was still dark outside and it seemed like i had no control over my body. Like i was possesed. Anyway, when i got to my living room i saw a person or ghost or some kind of entite floating a couple of inches above ground. ohmy.gif First emotion: fear. i didnt scream or anything i just woke up very sudenly. I knew it was a dream. But when i think about it these days, it didnt seem like a dream. It was too real. i thought it was real. So i think it was a AP. grin2.gif

If i did the exact same thing these days, i would of s@#$ in my pants.( excuse the language) Because the entite would still be there.

I think so to.. i think we all had at least one scary experience with AP when we were younger but we might not know it was AP and just think of it as a dream, i can also remember very real dreams i had including SP (sleep paralysiz) dunno how to spell that lol anyway i only experienced that once tho and i had it once not long ago when i tryed to AP laugh.gif

I have a question for al those APers out there.

<---------------------->
?

If the astral plane and the real world are put on a sliding scale, where would each be?
ie. Is the astral plane going beyond the real world or is it an earlier stage of entering the real world.

I ask this because there seems to be different stages of the astral plane, how far you are from the real world is determined by the strength of your connection to it. In my story and in other experiences I've had I have been either in a car or on a train, the lack of smoothness involved in these forms of transport have prevented me from making strong bonds to the real world, as a result of this I am unable to see other people who aren't connected to the astral plane like many people clame to see. If a stronger connection to the real world is required to view people in it then moving further along the scale, away from the real world would weaken that connection (in theory). With this in mind I have come up with a theory as to where these two dimensions would lye on the scale:
Most powerful connection
[____________________]
<----Realworld--<<<<<CentralAstralPlane>>>>>------>

If my theory is correct, what could lye beyond either end of the scale?
sephiroth976
I have read somewhere that there are 8 dimensions (dunno how to spell it) and that the astral plane is the 5th... also read that some people have gotten as far as 6th dimension dont remember exactly but i think the 8th dimension is where life and everything else is created, also i read that everything gets... (i dunno how to say this lol im from norway) that everything gets filterd or something throu dimensions.. (does any of this make sense) what i mean is everything gets created in the 8th dimension and it goes to the 7th and so on so i would guess the astral plane (5th) would be before the physical world (3rd) i dunno if this helped but i thought i would just bring it up anyway wink2.gif

P.S if it didnt make sense at all plz tell me laugh.gif
The Unexplained
Today i read a magazine in science class about planets. I was looking through it and found a page on OBE's. i was very suprised because it was science class and it was about planets. But when i read it, it was talking about how it was scientificly possible. I didn't get to read all of it cause the bell rang, but ill see if i can read any tommorow. So any skeptics, it was proven that AP is real! wink2.gif

By the way yesterday night i came SOOO close to AP. I read somewhere that sometimes right before you AP theres a poping sound. And yesterday night i was about to fall asleep, but i nudged myself awake. But this time when i did it i heard a popping sound. right away my eyes opened and that messed it a ll up. tongue.gif But when i opened my eyes i saw a colored box. like when you stare at a bulb long enough and look away and thers a dot in your vision, exactly like dat except a box or squeare. weird eh. blink.gif

Hmm... about the music.. i guess its diffrent for everyone, i didnt get to try it yet tho.. got a lot to do lately.
Also you saw 3 of yourself? hmm they say its not your astral body going out of your physical but that there is another "body"(or something) that goes out of your physical and into your astral.. Maby you somehow saw yourself switching bodys or something, also i read there are 4 bodys the physical and astral are 2 of them (cant remember the 2 others) anyway keep us updated wink2.gif

To keep it kind of simple. I was at one side of the bed and that was where I saw from. I saw my normal physical body in bed and my astral body risen. But before this is when I'm pretty sure I astrally projected. Then it changed to the view of me at the side of the bed. But I remember hearing something that sounded like a big bang before 'waking up'. I'm not even sure if I did wake up but I think it was for a second but I fell back asleep instantly. It was then around 7 in the morning when I was fully woken up.

I still belive you could have gone out of your body but not into your astral body so you saw your physical body laying on bed and your astral body just over it hmm.gif

Ok listen, The astral world IS the dream world.Same thing. Like you said theres 8 planes, and there is not a plane for the dream world. Every dream you ever had was a AP. The only diffrence between a dream and a AP is: That when you Ap you are fully concious, not so in a dream. When your APing whatever you believe will happen. If you believe that you can float, then you float. You can make up a whole nother world in the astral plane. And thats what you do when you dream. You make up a whole world. You're Astral body acts out youre dream. not the phisical. Thats why its paralizyed. wink2.gif

Now do u understand? tongue.gif

So ice cream is the secret, eh? wink2.gif Anyways it does sound like a good technique, but try not to do it when you're too sleepy. You'll fall asleep way too fast. Im happy to know that you're learning to control dreams. grin2.gif It'll help you AP soooo much easier. If you need help, please ask. laugh.gif

Good luck!

That's an interesting pic you've found, I don't really understand the obsession part but it does explain how some people see those guide things.
I've only ever been in the lower astral(non-physical) area so this whole etheric thing is new to my ears.
I'll do some research on it soon.
With the time-space influence thing you can really begin to understand why some people can travel to other galexies without using up too much time here.
Question: With the etheric thing, if time-space is 'independent', ie. time and space do not apply in these realms, how does that work exactly?
Dose anyone have memory of entering these higher realms?

Im not to sure but i read somewhere that you cannot go further then our own galaxy (or was it solar system?) cuz there are other rules out there, So i guess if time-space is independent you can spend a life time outside our galaxy and/or do whatever you want and still wake up in your bed the day after. But im really not sure hmm.gif

P.S the video is on youtube lol maby you need to install flash or java or whatever it is tongue.gif

My reference to the space-time(dream-time) vs. earth time descrepancy occurs only in my (precieved) dream states at this point. I've had dreams that really seem as though days and days would have had to pass in order for the scenes to run their course. In some of these dreams i've, in reality, only been nodding off for a few minutes. But I think the most interesting time comparison between dream and waking states is that, in situations playing out in dreams, known information resident to that particular dream has been forshadowed for what seems like years leading up to the current dream situation or scene. It's as if the dreams themselves contain their own independent past allowing for us to act them out with a prior knowledge and experience, again, specific to that particular dream. In many cases, a past knowledge and/or a set of experiences we never, even in part, had outside the dream. Does anyone understand this?
(wow, i may just need to got to bed!)
