How did your dad fight these mental battles? Also, how would you arm yourself with a mental shield?

Well i know you can send them love lol and that it is one of the only ways to get rid of them, and by mental shield maybe he ment to be ready and not let it get to you.. i dunno but i think you can imagine a shield of light around you like a bubble of light and it would protect you.. anyway anyone got any further in AP?

Well, I'm pretty young (I don't know if I can post my age on this forum) but let's just say im a kid. I don't know if this is an Astral Travel or not, but I am quite interested in whether it is or not. Let me explain the scenario.

I never feel myself come out of my body, but I can feel it when I feel like im falling, really fast (like from a building) and then I land into my body, and it wakes me up from my sleep. Is there a reason I get this? And is it really Astral Travel?

Also, sometimes I vibrate intensely, and it feels so weird and unwanted, and then I feel tingly and relaxed.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Everyone AP when they sleep.. they just dont know it so the brain makes it a dream, i have had dreams where i fall and i land and wake up with a jolt and yes it is because you fall back into your body and the vibrations is because your astral body is trying to get out of your physical, i have only APed fully conscious once from a dream and i got the vibrations followed by a FOOP! sound and i was out, i could not do much tho as it is hard to move without your body so i guess you were close to AP when you felt those vibrations.

btw i dont think there is a age limit for posting on a forum unless they ask for your age that is

Can you explain how the guess that "you AP when you sleep" works? Because it's a bit contradicting to the evidence of how dreams have been proven to work in science.

I believe AP is possible, but only under certain conditions. I don't believe everyone APs when they sleep, and since we don't know it, it is made into a dream. I've read that guess before though, and am just wondering if someone could explain it thoroughly. Not just you sephiroth976, but anyone else with the knowledge.

As i wrote earlier this is what I believe after reading what other people wrote so of course i dont really know.. i guess you can call it a theory, so im sorry i should have wrote that it`s just a theory but i wrote it in one of the posts above i think.. anyway i too would like to hear from someone with a little more knowledge

Everyone has 3-5 dreams every night because there are 3-5 sleep cycles (1 every 2 hours or so). In each sleep cycle, there is one REM state (dreaming). After the end of each sleep cycle there is a brief awakening where you literally wake. But usually the person is very tired and falls right back asleep. Some people go to the bathroom and some just realize they're awake. We don't remember all the dreams because they get lost or "erased" from memory (not literally erased, but rather forgotten) and it clears the mind for a new dream.

There is more to this, but dreams are not completely understood anyway. The first dream lasts only 10 minutes or so, but then they get longer as sleep cycles progress. The final dream ends up being from 30-60 minutes long.

There are still many mysteries about dreams and why we have them. If the guess/theory about APing every time is true, then people return to their bodies 3-5 times a night. I believe AP is possible (as it hasn't been disproven) under certain conditions. For example, inducing them using techniques like the 4 AM one.

It would be interesting to read what others have to say about the "APing every night" theory. I wonder how that would work if it's true.

Edit: My beliefs on paranormal phenomena change as I gain more knowledge on it. I always believe what makes the most sense to me. If I try something out for myself, then it may change again because I've experienced it for myself. I haven't experienced AP for myself so just keep that in mind

Im gonna read a little more about dreams tho so i might understand it a little more, also about the 4 AM technique it might be that it`s a perfect time to wake up (between the dreams) so that you wake up from one dream but instead of going strait to the next dream you wake up to become aware of that your going to have the next dream/ap.. anyway thats just another thought (i have no clue) one of the things that make me think you ap every night is becouse it`s so easy aping from a lucid dream.. the 2 times i had a lucid dream i just thought AP and i felt the vibrations, but that also kinda proves its not the dream as you go out of the dream when you get the vibrations

Also i had one AP not much but a little and it was rather different then what i imagined, i did not have this "good" feeling as it felt more scary and it was hard to move.. i ended up just rolling of my bed and i also got extremely tired the next day.

well am kinda new to astral travel,i heard it at school and it seems quite fun, actually i have not even tried your technique and but doing it i want a broad view of wotz astral travel.sorry to bother you,but i would to ask you some questions if possible.in fact i am a great coward and as far as astro traval is concerned, u talked about a spiritual guide,huh does he looks scary or something like that . Cause if see any such such things i dunno what i would do,may get a heart attack .If someone tries to hurt me or something like that wot would i do then.But is it guaranteed that i won`t have any difficulties in returning back to my body cause i don`t wanna be like a dead person.

I would ask some friends to try your stuff and we wud be together,like a gang of spirits,in this way it would be less scary.Then we would have a good gang and we would be able to defend against malicious spirits or some kinda aliens if ever they attack us.

You told us the technique to leave the body but you haven`t told us the procedure to go back to our respective bodies.it would be a problem if am ain`t being able to enter my body.

I wan`t to be sure that there won`t be problems once am in astro travel and and that my life or body or soul is not at risk then i will try out your stuff.

Socrates is not coming back i think... not been here in a while.. anyway il tell you what i know.. your spirit guide will probably not look like a daemon or alien lol i dunno what it looks like cuz i havent met mine yet but i guess they wont try to scare us.. also returning to your body is as easy as just think about it... then again sorry to say this but it is actually wrong (at least a little) it should be only to think about your body but in my case (i only did it once) i took some time before i actually got back i tried to will myself back but it would not work before a while so just keep it in mind that not every thing read is the same for all and for every time also if u see a daemon or something like that just try to get back or send it love lol as it wont like it.. but fear can bring you back to your body.. as its a strong emotion and strong emotions can bring you back (think thats what happened to me) but coming back to your body should not be such a problem.. you will get back eventually i think..

So you don't exactly have to be on the internet every day? (Unless you don't want to miss anything). If most things are received by e-mail then that would be good. I'm at a difficult stage of school-life at the moment which means less fun for a long long time.

It's the same with me. You get an e-mail at the start of each week with the weeks exercises and videos. You can then access them at any time and ask teachers questions on the forums.

I'm only going to practice in the evnings as I am working solidly throughout the day.

Once you've verified your e-mail adress from on the one they sent you, they should send you the first lesson.

Well instead of registering again i sent them a mail and they fixed it so now im back on track and i also got the first lesson and info witch were acually really interesting as they explained how to remember dreams without a dream diary and a mantra for it witch i will try, anyway if you dont get a mail you should probably just wait, it might be late

I just started reading about this stuff... And have gotten really interested in it... Sounds kinda scary though.

I remember when I was younger I'd be lying in bed, and I'd be dreaming I was walking and I'd trip in the dream, I'd wake up in my bed with a huge jolt like I just actually tripped and landed back in my bed... Strange, is this some form of AP?

I really wanna try this, first thing I'm gonna do is find Bob Marley's counciousness, fly up to the moon with him and puff on some of that crazy astral weed!

Well i only APed once and i cant do it whenever i want to but as far as i know its pretty much the same as the physical except its not physical lol so you could spy on people and fly around.. i would not recommend spying on people as you attract negative entities and.. thats not good also im not sure about time but i dont think time exist there.. means a whole night could feel like 1 hour or maybe 5.. or maybe even 3 days but im not sure... as they said on the course EVERYONE does it when they sleep, your body is in the physical and your astral body is in the astral plane.. they said to think of it like those reality computer helms that you put on and you see inside the game.. its like that.. there could be a lot happening on the astral plane around you but you cant see it because of the dream blocking it, you know how a dream can feel really long or really short? might be something like that but as i said i dont really know

Wow...I hade the wierdest experience last night when i tried to AP:yes:. First, my body started to tingle and i could feel my blood pump throughout my body. I was consentrating on APing, but for some reason, i started thinking about driving down this road . The farther down the road i got, the stronger the sensations i felt. Eventualy, i could feel my heart beat (and it was beating rapidly), and my eye lids started twiching very rapidly. Then a lightness feeling started at my feet and started moving up my body. I was thinking "OMG i'm doing it!" After it passed my head, i couldn't feel my body anymore. I was so exited that i jumped out of bed ,to make sure i was actualy doing it, looked at my bed and.... didn't find myself lying in bed . Any comments ?

i projected again 2 nights ago. OMG i ran to the kitchen i was so excited, i was thinking about too many stuff than i got pulled back into my body.

I went on to try again and it said there are no available courses for me at the time. Then going lower, it said I am not in any course at the moment. Too late...I'm just gonna cry in the corner if I have to.
Haven't tried trying to AP in a while but I've finished my Home Economics cooking exam and it went pretty well. So I've no homework for the weekend as well!! So I should be able to try tonight.

Well it does not say anywhere that its illegal to download and post the videos... but its in flash format tho (i used flash capture) so i dont think it`s supposed to be downloaded.. anyway im uploading the week 1 videos and the mantra now with a password on the zip file il post more info when its uploaded

You say that drugs hinder astral projection, this is not necessarily true psychedelic drugs can induce astral projection, I know this because I've experienced it first hand.

All though I can't say I've experienced the natural kind so I can't say that they are the same.
