Hey guys! Been a while since i posted and felt like leaving a message tongue.gif

I havent really tried to AP in a while however i tried to do some kind of rune magic or whatever its called by saying AAAAAAA and OOOOOO in my head (A and O being the runes) and trying to understand theyre meaning and i had a kinda real dream with lots of detail so the day after i took it one step further by drawing the runes in my hands (one rune in each hand) and while saying AAAAAA in my head i would visualize the A rune in my head glowing in its right color (witch i believe is a purpleish color) and concentrating on its meaning (witch is wind, air, breath) and the same with the O rune (Witch is a redish color) and the meaning of O is ancestors so these 2 are really spiritual runes that i believe can help you talk to some kind of spirits through your dream, anyway i had a hard time sleeping that night and i felt as if i was up all night having no dreams however a little later i started to remember a really detailed dream and after a while 4 things i remembered from my dream came true that same day! i did it again last night and i had the same kind of "feel i have not slept as all" feeling and i cant remember any dreams but im sure something will happen today too.. anyway i was wondering if anyone else have tried it because i believe you could probably use this to AP tongue.gif sry for the sudden long post >_<

So today around 12 or 1 pm I ate. After one hour, I decided to surf online and read about OBE. I was feeling a lot of vibrations in my legs. It felt like a little spark on my feet and my body was really relax which was unusual. So I lay down on my bed while listening to meditation I had on my ipod. On a few attempts my leg jerk, it happened 2-3 times. I tried 1 hour and then fell a sleep. I'm happy I got some results, because yesterday I was very frustrated with the noises. I live in apartment on first floor and in my room the person that lives on the second floor is always making noises. Sometimes I hear their footsteps, loud pounding, and their television.

OMG was i just dreaming? i just have to wtite this down before i forget just incase, i may find out when i next talk to the person involved...i may have just been APed BIG STYLE!!

I duno how i went into it cause i am a big time natural lucid dreamer, so it is highly probable i do it without even being aware but this time i was SO aware, conscious even....and the more i was there, the more aware i gradually became until "pop" i kind of jaulted into immediate awakeness.

errrm...i was dreaming about running down a particular road at night, past an old man on a bike (old men have been featuring heavily in my dreams of late) and the next thing i know i saw my UM friend with another man in a white place (astral plane perhaps?). He seemed to be like her confident, the person that oversees what she does...she was asking him if she could bring a friend here, i think they gather to do healing (there are many).

Next thing i am floatiing down in a red gown, and i look like me, which is weird because i am often dishonest in the way i look in dreams. My face looks pained, i float down, and he starts work first....it is immense, i could feel myself almost waking while he was doing it but i did not make any effort for i did not want to end it...he was whisking his hands over me and this bright white energy followed them with an intense ringing noise also...after he had finnished he went to let my friend do some also. my friends method was different. My friend healed via blowing...almost like "blowing magic fairy dust" LOL this is what i saw my friend doing, the action, and there was also contact, but different from the man my friend was with...he went to get some more students, but i became too conscious...i think my friends energy may have been too familiar and wakeful for me, although it did me alot of good and thats when i jaulted out of it...

the interesting thing is, that alot of what i saw was a view outside my body in the "dream" and if i was APing, then it means i also AP'd out of my AP. Or it means that when you do AP because you are not within the body, the projection you see of yourself is kind of created by the mind to compensate while you are out there, although i am sure some would say this is not posible, but lets not forget that i was possible brought there via someone elses power and not my own, so that would have been a different state of consciousness also...i do not know...i shall have to do some sniffing/detective work the next time i spk to my friend.

WOW...anyway, i shall try and get back to sleep now LOL

thing is GhOsT, i dream lucidly every night and remember nearly all of them...i have about 4/5 dreams each time...so much so that i have to sif through which ones to write in my diary...this did not feel like a dream, i have had AP experiences before but not fullon for i am not well practiced...but this was much more...i was SO conscious when they were "healing me" i had my eyes closed but they were trying to open but i could still see everything that was happening...also, the friend i spk of does do AP although the friend has not spoken about it with me before...there sre a couple of other funny things that i can not reveal in the forum for identity reasons that make it more possible that this did actually happen...CRAZY stuff original.gif

Hi im new to this and i i did my first attempt earlier this afternoon, it was really hard to focus seeing myself while i was standing at the corner of my room.
first when i was imagening seeing my self from the corner of my room i saw my self in glimpses but (keep in mind im doing this in my mind) it was so dark in the room and somtimes during these glimpses my eyes were down at the corner of the room while seeing my arms swinging from one side of the wall to the other like if i was posessed, i dunno if i managed but after a while i dunno if i was sleep or awake i felt one of my toes goe limp in just a sec, it was wierd, and i remember right before i woke up i saw my self from beside the bed i was something small like 1 meter tall because i just saw my self from the side and my bed aint that high up from the ground.

can i get some feedback on this??
Vilius
So i was meditating today and i was myself from top ofmy head i was suprised how real it looked and felt i became suprised and lost it though tongue.gif

so here is my question... if you AP like a spaz (and I do) and you AP into a water enviroment, do you experience the feeling of drowning? I managed to do it once... and that was where I went... and that is exactly how I felt. Like I couldn't get to the surface and I was going to drown. It wasn't pleasant, and I highly doubt I am going to attempt AP again until I get some more control. Has anyone else had this experience?
defuzed28
Whats a spaz? if you are talking about the dissabled i suggest you do some more AP but next time do it on a motorway then hopefully u wont live to tell the tale

So... what exactly is YOUR definition of a "spaz"? I, in no way shape or form, was referring to a person of dissabled nature.

and, was that a pitiful attempt to insult me? tell me to AP into a motorway so I won't live to tell the tale? Ok so I could put this into "big words" for you, but I'll keep it simple...

until you know what someone is talking about, keep to yourself. You only make yourself look like an "ass" when you assume...

hi socrates, AP is something i have rarely thought about but, i have had experience of it when i was about 5 years old. all i can say is that i found myself floating very near to the ceiling above the toilet door on our landing. i noticed there was a layer of dust on the top of the door surround and the pattern of the wallpaper near me was much more detailed than i had ever noticed. i also could see my sister sleeping and myself sleeping too. i was not in any way frightened by this and didn't think it unusual. i do wonder if i had experienced it before and never thought it a big deal hence me not feeling scared. i have also had the sleep paralysis once. it was the night before my sisters funeral and i found that experience absolutely terrifying. since that time although i have always been very interested in the paranormal i haven't really had the time to read up on it or take it seriously. i am at a very low point in my life now and depression and lethargy is becoming a major problem for me. i may try your technique and see what happens. i do feel my personal problems would be helped in some way if i can only reconect to myself. i will give it a try over the next few nights and let you know how i get on.

I began to experience oobe when I was in the service. Now I am in full control of these episodes. Lately I fear doing AP because when I am outside, there's this same negative force that comes near and put a great deal of fear in me. When I'm outside I can feel the air charged with electricity and I can hear the continuing crackle of electricity. The cord that connects me with my body is not on my forehead or in my belly-button as many books suggests, I am connected to my body by this elastic force from my back (lung area) to my body. Also, I am able to induce the electricity-like feeling (when you're having goosebumps) in my body at will. It's strong, but only strong enough to numb my face and muscle cramps. The surge starts from my temples down to my face, then down my neck, to my arms and chest, then straight down to my feet. I am able to to do this like it's a natural function of my body. My question is, is there a medical device that will be able to read/record this?
Vilius
Well that makes sense Dreac since the fourth chakra is said to be resting place of the soul unfortunately i dont know any devices that would prove AP but there were a few experiments where scientists were recording brain waves

Hey guys. Yesterday i tried something : i held my one arm up and other down after relaxing for about 15 min. After a while the t-shirt got hotter and hotter up to my palms. I tried to ignore it but could'nt it got really hot. Then it suddenly struck me like a flying brick i had a t-shirt on with short sleaves!!! i opened my eyes and looked at my arm, it looked normal but when i twisted it it felt as if this "warmth" staid in place like a sock or something. Even if i lowered my arm it stayed there. I don't know what this is, if any one has had similar experiences please some come forward and tell me your thoughts about this.

Wow! Interesting topic, I'm gonna try this '4 in the morning technique' now, might be a little late though (2:30 in the morning =])
Btw, I tried astral travel last night (Without getting up at 4) and I couldn't get to sleep for ages, it felt like I was drifting off and I was thinking 'I am going to astral travel, I am going to leave my body' but then I just jolted, this happened twice. Also, is astral travel supposed to help you remember dreams because I haven't been able to for years, but last night I could remember my dream clearly.

I'm a religous man, i belive in demons and Angels, i was wondering if i tried this, is there anything bad that could happen such as being perm. disconnected from my body. Also could I make connection with the physical world while projecting?
Thanks just a few questions.
Also, please no rude remarks on my reply, I just want to try some new things.

You cant be disconnected unless you die and since its impossible to die there you cant be disconnected but i have read an article once it said that it is possible to detach the astral body from the physical body off course you can use telepathy there the question is will the person you try to contact with is experienced enough to hear or fell you?

hey guys.
I did a wierd thing yesterday afternoon : my grandma's puppy dog s very sick and she realy likes the dog but she hasn't got the the cash to take the dog to the vet. I felt bad and as they invited me in for coffee i staid behind with the dog for a while. I focused on the dog then put my hand on his head thinking feeling seeing the dog healthy again in my head, i sort of tried to transfer "energy" into him. after that i had coffee and went back home. This morning i have a massive headache and i'm so sick.... I havn't been this sick for over a year. This sounds wierd but i hope the dog makes it in my heart mind and soul.

Hi Vilius and everybody,

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while, been busy. I wish this topic was about lucid dreaming, because I had an awesome lucid dream of traveling around 100 years into the future for what seem like around a couple weeks or so (slept 8 hours). I think I may have been visiting myself, but I'm not sure. It was to say the least interesting and very long. An interesting few points: Where I went many people lived in circular areas called supernodes, somewhat like the suburbs. You could use a portal type machine to travel from building to building in the node. There was no real money system, but people exchanged gold and silver notes for favors. Many people made there own media and culture. There were many more trees and less sprawl. And, the technology was interesting and somewhat more simplified. I may right a short science fiction book about it. It was very interesting and was probably the longest dream I have had to date. I can't remember it all. I knew I shouldn't have smoked any cannabis there, that stuff was strong. cool.gif I was telling myself the whole time not to do it, but peer pressure in college. Harrumph! laugh.gif

On to AP, I have a few questions, that someone with some AP experience might be able to help me with. First off I haven't tried AP for about a month, just took a break. The main reason I took a break because every time I got into a relatively deep meditative state, I started not cognitively started feeling like I was starting AP with all the effects and would stop. Anyone else have an issue like this?

Anyway, I learned to stop that after a while. This morning I decided to give it a go. I got into it real quick with a big ball of light and all the vibrational stuff. After that something strange happened. I started to feel like I was pulled through a series of tunnels of light and color. I sometimes before some lucid dreams seem to remember getting something like that, but this was very intense. Then a moth started clicking against my lamp and I snapped out of it. Afterwards and as I am writing this, it feels like I get a big shot of adrenaline. Has anyone else had this feeling of flying through tunnels before or something like it?

It reminded me of the movie Contact when she was going through the wormholes (Great movie, BTW). Was somewhat of roller coaster ride feeling and quite fun. I wish it could have continued...

Dang moth! laugh.gif

The electricity-like feeling I am able to do at will is when I am fully conscious, or awake. I am in search of a device that will be able to read/record this, like a real sensitive EM meter.

Autonomous functions I believe are left controlled by the physical brain. What travels with you when you go AP I believe is your soul, encased within your spirit. The body, soul, and the spirit are three separate and distinct part of each person.

Governments, militaries, big businesses, and secret organizations do not want us freely buzzing about snooping into their affairs. Poisonous and non-poisonous chemicals and substances, such as fluoride, MSG, and aspartame, could be introduced into our food, beverages, and water in order to suppress remote viewing and out-of-body experiences. We should avoid these unnatural substances and additives if we expect to achieve anything extra-sensual, paranormal, or spiritual.

Hey fatality nice to see you tongue.gif I think you should start a thread about lucid dreaming your dreams are very (uber) interesting thumbsup.gif how much dreams do you dream each night its been two days since i dreamed 2-4 dreams i remember a few interesting dreams i had this week the first one is then i dreamed about saving Titus polon and lucius voren (from tv show rome - great show!) anyways at the end of the dream i awako and i couldnt talk in the dream so i said "Polon" in waking world lol grin2.gif The next dream is stranger it was a long dream then i walked to a shop and the shopkeeper turned into somekind of creature it was wearing a light-blue robe the lower part of it was grey and the upper was blue anyways it freaked me out i opened my eyes with very high 'piiiii' sound in my eyers and before me was a face (i believe my guide) when i blinked it was gone. The best part that i like about your dream is that there isnt an actual money system!!

The tunnels hmm well this is a tough one but it reminded me near-death-experiences and the fact that people who have such enter a tunnel/find them selves floating and enter it then they go through it and find themselves in some peacefull etc place (higher parts of astral plane) so this might mean that you are being transported directly into some higher astral or etc place.

Now this isnt directly about AP but i though its very cool i can hear (talking is hard .. yet tongue.gif) my higher self and its soo coool to do this because he is very wise and keeps giving me tips and info about my progress. I think i was a baker (woman) then she was old she became a hmmm ? I dont know how to say this but hmm a priest-woman (Monastey) just yesterday i informed me that my (grin2.gif) past life karma is destroyed so that was a happy day tongue.gif

Hello Socrates and everyone else.
Your post about Astral Travel was thorough and I got a lot from it. My only misgiving I guess, for me, is that as 'human beings' we can't know for certain 'sure' that everything we perceive to be real, is in fact real. If you catch my drift. I had what I call an out-of-body experience at the ofaround 14yrs. The experience has left me convinced that we possess a soul, which can and will exist out-side of our human bodies. The experience was all that you have said, however, the being that I encountered was definetly, and to my mind, without a doubt, NOT good, or well-meaning. I would worry that others trying Astral travel would encounter similar. I am by nature a worrier, I quess, but as I said, we can't be sure that all we know is in fact the whole truth. so I would want others to be aware that nothing is ever black and white. Hope you understand me, and don't feel that I'm trying to be a 'downer'. God bless. Boscelles
St Q
I learned at a young age to stay away from horror -- no horror stories, no horror books, no horror movies. It serves no useful purpose but to poison our minds with the ammunition that will one day be used against us -- be it by other entities or ourselves.

I suppose that we could desensitize ourselves by overloading our lives with horror, like playing Doom 3 or watching reruns of the Exorcist every night. However, I find that if I don't dwell on it, it seldom surfaces at all. For example, one who fears spiders and/or thinks about them daily will "see" them more often than someone who doesn't fear or think about them.

How we react to horror in our dreams is a good reflection of how we will react to entities while out of body. If we prejudice entities with preconceived notions or suspicions that they may be "bad" (e.g., don't talk to strangers attitude), then they will be "bad". As Marlon Brando once said in "Apocalypse Now", we must make a friend of horror. I find that this attitude works great in dreams. Always assume the horror is within you first, and entities second. After all, in the case of dreaming, look at the person who is doing the dreaming.

I've encountered several entities while in a hypnopompic state (between being asleep and being physically awake), but none were actually bad, a little mischievous maybe, but never evil. While out of body, I've never encountered other entities, except for the astral body (or soul) of my wife, which was partially converged with her wide-awake physical body.

QUOTE(GhOsT181 @ Aug 23 2007, 10:44 AM) *
st q how long did it take you ta have an obe? Did you practice it or did it come to you naturally?

Neither, actually. My first experience was induced by the misuse of a chemical drug. At the time, I knew nothing about NDEs or OOBEs. I was only told that I had a "trip".

Some 9 years later, while discussing my "trip" with a coworker, he tells me that I had an OOBE and runs out to his car and brings me the book "Journeys Out of the Body" by Robert Monroe. The interesting part about this is that I had not discussed my experience with anyone since it happened.

After reading the book, and every other book that I could get my hands on, I began to have spontaneous OOBEs. It was refreshing to find out that I was not alone, that other people had these experiences, too.

It wasn't long after that that I began using dream control to fly and force myself to wake up. However, the majority of these instances resulted in sleep paralysis. During sleep paralysis, I gained the ability to have partial OOBEs, such as removing my arms and experimenting with tactile sensations. I didn't give much credit to it because this state of mind is prime real estate for hallucinations, even tactile ones.

I later realized that my first experience was not directly caused by the drug. At the time, my head was filled with thoughts of possibly dying from it, and the drug, which could have caused my death, only facilitated the OOBE. OOBEs occur quite naturally after severe shock, trauma, or any near-death experience. While it was occurring, I was sure that I was dead. I wondered how my mother would take the news. I knew for certain that I would have to explain myself to a higher authority.

After you have your first OOBE, the rest get a little easier, at least until you become an old fart like me. It has something to do with the "loosening" of the soul. You'll also know when someone you meet has one, too.

That's very possible. What you experienced sounds like a lucid or vivid dream.

During REM sleep our brain wave patterns (alpha, beta, delta, and gamma) are exactly the same as when we're awake. The only difference is that we are paralyzed, except for our eyes, which move rapidly back and forth under closed eyelids. If a doctor examines an EEG chart of our REM sleep only, he or she will not be able to tell if we were awake or asleep, so for all intents and purposes, we are awake during REM sleep.

Flying, soaring, falling, driving, riding, leaping, jumping, sliding, gliding, surfing, skiing, and skating are all good signs of astral travel or movement while dreaming. Whether we experience lucid or vivid dreams out-of-body or not, our environment is often masked, caked over with dream icing, making it difficult to tell where and even when we are.

With the advancements being made in quantum mechanics, we may someday find out that dreams are more real than what we have ever imagined. Unfortunately, that would be bad news for me, because I've done some naughty things during dream control. devil.gif

ok, i have half of sylvia's book of dreams, and im still reading it, also i have read just about everything on psipog.net about tk, tp, remote viewing, and astral travel first i would just like to say that Socrates, you are kick ass, and i think your tech will work for me because its hard to get my conscious mind to fall asleep while keeping my subconscious awake, but here are a few tips for everyone else...

1. do it when your tired! the goal is to get your conscious mind to fall asleep while keeping your subconscious mind awake.
the subconscious is the part where your spirit stays, and your spirit already knows how to do this (we supposibly do this many times during the week but dont remember)

2. you need to think about astral travel at allll times of the day, and not let any doubt fill your head about this concept, IT IS REAL AND IT HAS BEEN PROVEN, if your subconscious has any doubt at all, it will NOT WORK, so daydream about astral travel, think about it when your at work, or at school, when your talkin to someone face to face and you dont care about what they are saying, THINK ASTRAL TRAVEL.

3. you can also try this tech if that way doesnt work (never worked for me but it may for you!)

lay in your bed and relax completely, for about 30 mins, you can think about anything you want right now.... untill your body is asleep, if you lay in a slightly uncomfortable position it will help you not fall asleep.
an easy way to test if your body is asleep is, say your arms are next to your body.... imagine that they are crossed over your chest, and if your body is asleep, you will actually feel them on your chest when in reality they are not.
once your body is asleep...
try to completely clear your mind, which is the hardest thing in the world to do, without falling asleep, i think...
an easy way to do this is...
you know how when your laying in your bed almost asleep and you hear your heater click on or hear something fall... your mind goes completely blank and you just listen for that sound... do that, listen for a sound that you know will not happen again.. for instance, prettend you heard a sound, and be like.. omg did you just hear that sound!... you will listen and your mind will be blank.
do this for as long as possible and you may feel some sensations, if you do, imagine yourself on the other side of the room and you may find yourself out of your body, if you get this far.... do not open your eyes, you just kind of "think" them open and you will see.... when moving, just "think" of moving and it will happen...

btw, about the ppl dieing while astral traveling... if someone really has died... how would anyone EVER find out.. they would have died out of their body, therefore they wouldnt be able to tell anyone that they died out of there body.... but, studys have shown its not dangerous, and nothing can enter our bodys while were gone, also... you cannot go inside someone elses or something elses body, because your subconscious would not allow it...

oh and for the guide.... i guess before we come into life, we write a super detailed list with 1 ultimate goal, we choose a spirit guide (with their approval of course!) to help us insure that we fufill that goal... so just talk to them and they will tell you whatever you want to know, ask them about the hall of records wink2.gif

hi everyone and hi socrates

i have question for u socrates and i hope u help me

i got like more than 30 sleep paralize and sometimes i get more than 1 sleep paralize aday because sometimes i wake up without reason but it look like i cant keep sleeping for long time so i sleep and wake up then sleep and wake up and so on . but one time i don't know what happened to me and i don't know what was that and i think it might be OBE or remote view but i think it is OBE and as u have good exp in OBE i think u can answer my question .

what happen : one time i saw place in my house i felt my conscious there and i saw everthing there even how the sun ray look like from that angle so i tried to look around or move my eyes i could not and try to do anything but i could not i can think and i have thoughts but im paralized then suddenly felt cramps in my stomic so i told myself to endure it to be in that state to explore what that strange state but the cramps increased and becoming more painning i can feel it but u know i feel it in other place other body not in me but i feel it , it is my stomic looks like 2 conscious original.gif then i could not endure that pain then i felt my conscious come back to my body then i wake up and when i wake up my stomic was ok but the pain i felt it was still remain with low lvl of pain because of that cramps.

so i wanted to know is that OBE then why i could not move or move my eyes and why this cramps ? btw when i wake up i went to that place and it was like i saw it and the same sun ray.

thanks.

I had the wierdest lucid dream yesterday night. Wierd becaues it was my first. I was standing in a building i thought to be a hotel, it was realy deep into the future (there were flying cars and stuff). it was realy far down and when i looked down i saw these huge pipes biding the one "hotel" to the other. I suddenly though by myself this isn't real and then realized i was dreaming!

So the moment i knew this i thought what must i do no... then without hessitation i ran and jumped. I went head on down and "propelled" myself faster and faster to the ground. when i hit the ground i awoke.

Anyway i still can feel that wind. it was so realistic. I hope i have more lucid dreams soon. thumbup.gif
