I had such things happen a lot grin2.gif its like my eyelids would be open a little and i see my room colored in weird colors.

By the way i dream't about some kind of ice planet Gundun or something , just thought that would be interesting.

Hmmmm not what i mean.. i mean i had my normal eyes open just a little as i was half asleep and i suddenly got the vibrations and decided not to move a muscle (not even closing my eyes) and suddenly i was seeing somewhere else in the room at the same time.. like having 4 eyes.. know what i mean? you see straight ahead and up at the same time tongue.gif

Oh thats how yep i know how it fells unsure.gif though i have never experienced such thing while having opened eyes.

PS: I'm Apparition now grin2.gif

Wow, great topic all! Big thanks to those who have contributed. Read the first 35 pages and then skipped ahead "a few" wink2.gif

Anyway, AP is something I've been interested in for a while but never took the time to learn more until recently. Think I'm going to give it a try, actually I've had vibrations often when falling asleep, for as long as I can remember, and often felt like there was something there I should grab onto, or focus on, but never knew what.

Would really appreciate comments on preparing one's self for protection, it's been mentioned but not delved into. Any suggested reading?

Thanks, and look forward to learning more original.gif

i have a qustion

if i say fall asleep yet cant move my body to wake up all while being aware of what is going on in my house [and sometimes outside] even if i cant see anything

am i projecting?
psychicpowersarenice
Ok...so I just tried astral projecting but it didn't work..

But as I was laying on my bed, it felt like little thorns/vines started to tiwst around the sides of my head and pierce it slighlty, like little needles, a few inches above the ears. It wasn't too painful but stung a little bit and was uncomfortable, and I'm still feeling the afterafects of it now. I think this has kinda happened before, but idk what is is.
sephiroth976
I just heard from someone that her uncle was using a vary simple technique to wake up in dreams, he would write "im awake" in his hand before going to bed and in his dream he would check his hand and see that it was gone, then he understood that he was in a dream and jumped out the nearest window.

It seems simple enough and i think im gonna try it.. however i dont really think im gonna check my hand in my dream just because im writing something in it... but then again its worth a try tongue.gif

but don't jump out of the window

Thats just brilliant! Im gonna try it too.

hmm
impressive use of "anchoring"

thats neat using the shock of the fall to wake yourself

Quite an interesting thread! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading through it.

I haven’t “consciously” tried astral projection, although I’m convinced unconsciously I’ve been out there…came to that conclusion through the recurrence of a dream my daughter and I both experienced a couple years ago.

For weeks I kept dreaming that I had gotten up in the middle of the night to check the patio door off the kitchen to ensure it was locked. My husband "did" tend not to lock that particular door from time to time, and I reasoned to myself that this was the basis of each recurring dream.

Anyway, I was speaking to my husband about this dream (after having several) one evening. My daughter entered the room and immediately freaked out. She stated that she too experienced this recurring dream, only it was “she” checking the patio door. She then went on to say, “Last night I dreamed once again that I came up to check the patio door and saw you there checking it…I talked to you, yet you never acknowledged my presence.” Needless to say, we were both excited! Hubby just shrugged and took it all in…he has never left that patio door unlocked since! laugh.gif

Has anyone read Bruce Moen’s “Exploring the Afterlife Series?” I've read 3 of his volumes a few years ago (don’t know if he has any more out). This series speaks to his astral travel/work, which is quite fascinating.

I tried this and had 2 really vivid long dreams this seems to work.
psychicpowersarenice
Oh yeaa I did it!

But only semi-consciously haha.

Weeell so I had just had a dream, and then I was in my bed in my room, and in the dream I thought I was waking up. In the dream it was like my eyes were half open seeing my room, and when I tried to like roll over to my side I'd just see like this beige or something and be kinda jerked back to my position with my eyes half open. Then I think I realized what was happening, and I swam out of my body, pushing against a force slightly, like it is swimming underwater. It was really easy actually, and then once I was out I floated near my bed in the air and felt reaaally light.

As I was floating in the air, I thought about how this (the whole eyes half open dreaming thing, jerking me back to the same position if i try to move during the dream) has happened to me before, and how I now know what's really happening when that happens.

I was kinda expecting to see weird entities or something, but it was just my room, but it was blurry like it usually is in dreams. I wanted it to be more clear though, so it became more clear for a second, and then it was back to being kinda fuzzy and I think I was in my body again soon.

I tried to get out again, and I got halfway out, and I could tell it would be over soon so I asked my spirit/astral guide for help to get me out of my body, but no one was there. Then I woke up and looked around at the lighting in my room. It was kinda bright, the way it is when it's cloudy outside but white light still comes in through the windows. And that was exactly the same way it was in my dream, so for me that was even more evidence that I had done it, and I was happy and was like yess i did it!

It was about 10 in the morning, and I'd gone to bed around 2:30 in the morning. I'd been awake for around 21 hours before I went to sleep, so I wonder if that helped? I said to myself that I was gonna AP that night before I went to sleep too, but I've done that like once or twice before and it didn't work those other times.

I'd been trying to AP during the daytime consciously for a few days before and hadn't achieved anything except the usual minor strange feelings.

But I'm so happy I did it! My next goal is to do it totally consciously and stay out for longer, and then travel places original.gif

This morning while i awoke at about 6:00 am and moved into half-dreaming state (i knew i was dreaming) after some time of hearing my dreams i heard "i found the fish". Everything blacked out and i felt like floating out of my head through a little hole in my skull , i saw my room with amazingly clearly , a shadowy figure flew before (lol it looked funny as he flew like he was completely paralyzed) i found the scene disturbing and moved back to my body.

conclusion: writing "im dreaming" on your palm before going to bed works (do it!) + i had an AP.

By the way this is my 300 post , is this a coincidence?

That's all I have time for at the moment. If you have any questions about the technique I listed, or about astral travel or the astral plane, send me a PM. I will be happy to help.

Hi Ziggy.

I have many experiences over the years, however i would be interested to hear your views on one in particular.

According to the display on my mobile it was five thirty summer time 2006, i woke up with the need to visit the toilet, during this period i noted that it was now quite light outside.

On returning to my bed i quickly fell back to sleep. It was during this sleep I suddenly became aware of a presence next to me and immediately proceeded to tried and sit up but was unable to do so because i was being restrained. ( experts put this down to sleep paralasis)

While struggle to free my self i noted the things that i was viewing where not as they should be, ie There was no light coming through the curtains suggesting it was still dark out side.

I could clearly that my bedroom door was wide ajar, but then i also noted that outside the door there where stairs going upwards towards the attic. Again this is a deception since there are only stairs going downwards .

Still continuing to struggle to break free i suddenly felt as if my life was being drained from me, and had the sensation of dieing. Now as i said i've had many nasty experience over the years, and always fought back .

This might sound strange but i knew i wasn't awake , but i also knew what was happening was real and if i let ago i wouldn't be coming back. These thoughts some how helped me to hold on and break free.

The second i broke free i jumped out of bed. and just as i had saw it earlier while going toilet it was light. I looked at my mobile for the time and approximately fifteen minutes had elasped.

Now although believe in OBE I'm having trouble accepting this was a straight forward case and feel something other then a OBE had taken place on this occassion.

What do you think?

i gotta admit, it sounds a bit "out there" but i think im gonna give it a go... what's there to loose?

AAHH so I've been having minor precognitive dreams for years, every since I was little. They've always been about minor things, like random scenes on tv shows or movies I haven't seen yet, or a random place I'll go in my city or another place that I just haven't visited yet. But yesterday for the first time ever, I had a precognitive dream that involved speech! I was buying a ring and just as I was asking "oh could I get this type," I suddenly remembered having dreamt of the place I was in and me saying those exact words =))) It was pretty awesome for me, cuz I remembered saying the words in my dream, too. But I'm not sure when I had the dream...but I think it was a long time ago.

Yeah i experienced this too , the dreams disappear for a few days then come back. I think today was one of such days i didnt dream anything until i awoke at about 7:00 and fallen into a semi lucid dream (cant wait for real lucid dreams disgust.gif ) in which i was looking at a gigantic fiery planet and the moon orbiting it which was a fiery planet as well. But the moon had some weird ice valley in it too , the ice would constantly melt because of the heat but would reappear after some time.

Hmm yeah well its weird the dreams are usually about places im going to be or people im going to talk to or hang out with.. but i always know if its a normal dream or if its something thats going to happen from the start so last time i was just waiting for my friend to call me or message me to ask me to go somewhere and a couple of hours later he did... its weird cause those dreams really seems to be different from normal dreams and its nothing like deja vu.. i do get that deja vu feeling sometimes too though but never when i have these dreams..

Read this thread a couple of days ago and thought it sounded very interesting! So yesterday I tried to project, following the steps/advices given in the first post.

I lay in my bed trying to go to sleep, I was very relaxed and calm. I tried imagine myself standing in the corner of my room looking at myself in the bed, and surprisingly it was not as difficult as i thought. After some time(I lost track of time), all my limbs began summing(felt kindda funny). After that I pretty much couldn't feel my body anymor, it was as if my head was seperated from my body. The whole situation was very relaxing and maybe I could have astral projected, if my mobile hadn't ringed!! Very irritating.. Well,well.. I like the whole experience and one of the furture days, I will try again to see if I maybe can project..

Now my question to you.. Before you project, do you also feel seperated from your body, is it a sign that I am capable of doing so.. or what do you think?

Thanks for reading my post xD

I've tried your method once but not at 4am as i had to get up early and i need sleep and i was so close to getting there and i got distracted (mother and the dog barking at each other). Anyway i'm going to try opening my third eye chakra before i try your technique again, hopefully tonight. Would it still work even if it's not at 4am? Thanks for your help happy.gif

If, after several attempts, you still have not projected, do not be detered. It is likely you will have felt some of the sensations above while trying, and this is a positive sign. You must remember that it is a matter of willpower. You can't just casually attempt to project in a one-off scenario. Think about astral travel throughout the day. Buy a book on astral travel. Attempt to astral travel everynight. Eventually, I gurantee, you will get out.

ok, I had to respond to this as well. I read your post after finding it through google..and now having joined...I wanted to ask some questions. I tried this technique last night....but not completely. It wasn't at 4am. Is the specific time important...or is it more a measure of time from the hour you actually go to sleep? I ended up waking at 8am since I went to sleep around 3am...and used your technique and as soon as I imagined myself standing in my room I felt a sort of 'butterflies-in-the-stomach' feeling...I continued until falling back to sleep and then dreamt of someone insctructing me on how to get out of my body...but no actual projection.

I have projected before and have had sleep paralysis that were at the time attributed to 'night terrors' with not being able to move and feeling like I was trying to scream for help but couldn't make a peep. I remember seeing a very bright white light that for some reason my mind interpreted as headlights of a train above me. I have also had milder circumstances where I just feel like I;m vibrating and other times I've been unsure whether it was just avery lucid dream or a projection. I have lucid dreams quite regularly....but I really want to be able to astrally project at will and not just have it happen randomly. Whenever I have gotten out it seems like as soon as I realise this I get excited or I just get 'jolted' back awake....oftentimes I'll even be jolted up into a sitting position in bed!

I'm going to continue your technique and try to start going to bed a bit earlier so I can wake at 4am and do it right! happy.gif

also, do you think that back pain could effect my ability to control this? since I have 'naturally' gottne out before but never been able to really induce a complete projection I don't think it is too much aof a problem...but normally when I wake up I feel very achey...and that is why I'm unsure ifwaking at 4am and doing this will work very well for me without doing some sort of stretching or yoga beforehand. ...any advice is much appreciated!

Well i know psi balls are real too however i think these videos are 100% fake... and i think that because first of all people cant normally see psi balls unless they know how... its hard for me to explain because i dont really know what you need to learn to actually see them but the point is that if normal people normally wont see them then there is no way a camera can and second of all that is just an animation on the video.. notice in the first video how the camera never moves and how the psi ball never moves and how suddenly it despaired in the end, sorry but there is no way this is real!
Vilius
To see a psi ball you would need to develop energy sight (not auric sight)

anyone heard of Kirilian photography...or Kirlian...dunno the spelling.....anyone though?

I'm not an expert on the topic....but Kirlian photography was something that some guy (see my expertise?) who developed some form of photography which he called 'electrophotography'

here is a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirlian_photography

it is very interesting indeed.

I don't know what psi balls are....I have, during meditation, visualised balls of energy in my palms.....but never ha d aname for it and never actually thought there were visible balls of energy in my hands....just maybe more dense energy sensations in my hands......still don't really know what psi ball is though.
Vilius
A psi ball is a ball of psi (energy) isn't that obvious tongue.gif ?

I heard about Kirlian photography but the photos are influenced by hmm (dunno how to say) outside influence so their not really reliable.

I have random jolts all the time when I sleep, probably one or two a week. But they always wake me up. Are these signs of Astral Travel?
Vilius
Since you get them when waking up that means your getting back into your body. I for one had a jolt only once in my whole life!
MDN
Thanks for the quick reply. I never remember Astral Traveling after I jolt. Is this normal?
Vilius
Yep thats normal (depends on what you think normal is grin2.gif ) .

see I never heard the term 'psi' before...so yeah....I've just practiced through experience and done what I felt was natural....but ok, now there is a term....I still don't see how they could be seen with a camera, in particular, in those videos....looks like animation 101.
