I am having trouble tring to astral travel i dont no but i dont seem to be able to get to sleep while thinking of what im doind so does ne one suggest like a sleeping pill or something?

You dont need to sleep to do astral project.
Well I am no pro, but here is what I do:
Part 1I wake up in 4:00 as socrates said, because its a good time, sunrise n stuff, everything is pretty light.
Then I jump out of my bed, do some exercises to relax my body, then I open
my chakras .
Then I go back to bed, about 5min I relax with controlling my breathing and I repeat in my mind stuff like "I am going to astral travel".
Then its time for trance state, as its 4:00 o'clock and you are tired its easy to enter the trance at least light trance.
Before that 2-4min look in the dark with closed eyelid, not dark realy, I see something going on when I close my eyelids and look in the "dark", its like a energy pulsating in there, concentrate on that energy (dots who randomly apear and disapear and even make forms in your eyelids).
It helps.
part 2Then start to enter the bloody trance, there is a lot of methonds to do so, one is imagining that you are falling in the dark, or going down by ladders or lift or something like that, main thing is to forget your boody (make sure you dont feel any "body need" which can ruin your concentration).
Ok the trance. To be in a trance does not mean to be asleep, although it can sometimes look that way, but in fact the opposite is true. Studies of the brain activity of people in trance have revealed an increased level of alertness.
Trance is a very personal experience and it should be remembered that each individual will experience trance in his or her own way, just forget about your body and concentrate on your mind.
part 3When you are in trance then start to imagine how your body is floating up, like imagine that your soul is like 1cm up from your body and is fighting to get more up - concentrate on your third eye (see chakra exericeses) but as well you can concentrate on all your body, I just say what is easiest method for me.
There is a lot of ways how to imagine leaving you body, like rolling out of your body etc just use what you can imagine best, I use the flying up method, but dont imagine that you already are OUT of your body, just imagine that you are partly out and are trying to get out, lets not jump to the finish lol.
You will feel energy shoting around your body and giving jolts in different places, possibly you will feel pulsating in your chakras, just keep concentrating on pulling yourself out of your body, but DONT use your body, dont pull your body parts up, just pull yourself up with imagination.
When you will feel very heavy sensations all over your body and quivering until you wontl feel your body but your astral body - just keep on going and pull yourself out.
Ok I fully have tryed this method only once (because most of the time I was developing whats best for me) and in that time I pulled out my astral legs and arm, but my head and chest didnt move, because my chakaras wasnt open, I was too lazy to open them lol.
But this work pretty good, in first time I tryed this I could feel my astral body ..well..at least partly.
I have tryed many methods, like rope and imagination like socrates said, but they are not for me, its hard to imagine that stuff and it uses a lot of mental energy so I grabbed every "good" part (from my point of view) and put it together like this. I hope it will work for you.
