So I sat up, I didnt AP hmm.gif , BUT my vision looked sorta weird, like smeared for a quick second. Wtf @ that?

Cjk,

In the beginning, I found it more effective to imagine the ceiling falling toward me, or my dresser moving nearby, as opposed to the type of intent that may lead to a nerve impulse. You won't always see the familiar objects from your room upon entering SP, so replace the ceiling or dresser with whatever object or entity you perceive. As you become more comfortable and experienced, try focusing on distant locations or persons.

2. I watched Final Destination 3 before I tried to AP. This was a huge mistake. Do I have to be in a healthy mental state before I try again?

If you're allowing films to frighten you or inspire nervousness, it's likely to have an effect. Are you able to watch "Mothman Prophecies" and nod your head at the possibilities without developing chills of fear? That's my idea of an AP homework assignment.

So what tecniques you use i said earlier in a post i need more i read the 4am one but i cant set the alarm for 4am in the morning i live in a house with 5 people

Controlsx2,

Since the alarm isn't a viable option for you, I have a suggestion that may cause you to awaken as your circulation diminishes. Go to bed with as few covers and as little clothing necessary to achieve sleep. Keep an extra blanket or sweatshirt on the bed to remain as relaxed as possible while reaching for the blanket or shirt.

The 2 weeks is brief compared to most with whom I've spoken. The 'getting to know yourself' remark was my attempt at levity. In other words, becoming reacquainted with your true self... your soul.

oh ok now i understand. thank you

apparently by cultivating a aerial feeling you can learn astral projection. I don not know if this is true or not though.

I accidently Ap'ed and am now trying to do it myself and from what I've read your mind has to be 100% clear, the only things on your mind should be knowing that you are going to AP, and imagine yourself somewhere in your room. That should be the last thing on your mind before you fall asleep.

As for the standing up thing. When it happened to me it just happened. All I can say is relax and let things happen on there own.

the past week i have tried to lucid dream and when i wake up i end up not even rembering my dreams or just not haveing a lucid dream but i think it is because i am not sleeping in as much but for the astral traveling i havent even tried in like 2 weeks because i have work and sh** but i hope my progress will not go away and i have to start over.

hi, I just read the first 20 pages of this thread, and I'm going to try APing for the first time tonight. Maybe I'll even be able to accomplish it while it's still light out if I put myself into a trance. I'll post my findings as soon as possible.

CONFIRMED!! i astral projected last night. fantastic feeling, its all good. Was sleeping than woke up. Weird feeling, like i was on a see-swing and was disappearing or transfering (positive feeling). i started to focus on something above me and pulled myself up and then focused to the side of my bed. i went out!! oh si, holla. Anyways i had complete control over myself and saw my body aswell. i then decided to go to the bathroom to take a look in the mirror but then i saw someone at the kitchen when i was walking to it. i asked him if he could see me and he said yeah. Than after that i returned back. w00t.gif w00t.gif w00t.gif oh baby baby

Hello, what interested me in this topic is because i've had some experiences of my own. Two years ago i was sleeping on the couch alone, nobody was in living room with me. Then all of a sudden i woke up, and i looked around and i saw a shadowy figure walk towards me. Everything was foggy and blurry, so i could barely even see it. So i tried to move, but i found out i couldnt. I was completely paralyzed. All of a sudden the shadowy figure came up to me and choked me for about ten seconds. After it choked me, it disapeared and i could suddenly move again. I currently wake up paralyzed probably once or twice a month, but i don't encounter entities anymore. I started reading about astral projection a few months ago. I tried projecting about five times so far. Whever i lay down, relax. close my eyes and clear my mind, i just wait untill something happens. What happens is that i feel like lightning struck in my room right beside me. Either that or something else unexplainable happens. Then after those things happen i feel these so called "vibrations" surrounding my body. My head starts feeling strange, i start seeing things spinning with my eyes closed, and my heart races. And that's all... after these things happen i dont know what to do. I just lay down and think about projecting as i'm feeling the vibrations, but nothing happens. What do i do next? Do i need to be more patient? How long do i have to wait? Can i open my eyes at all? Do i have to fall asleep after that to leave my body? Help!!! sad.gif

My email is Azeraith@hotmail.com

dont pay attention to the vibrations they will distract you just do what works best for you and think about the room your in and all the details of it im not an expert but it works ok for me when i try

What if i dont have a good imagination? My room has alot of details, that would be impossible to create a picture of it in my head.
Azeraith
Do you normally have to be in the sleep paralysis state to feel the vibrations? Because i've felt them in the sleep paralysis state and when i was just relaxing on my bed. And can you project without being in the sleep paralysis state? And when i relax for 5 minutes and i close my eyes do i start to see a flickering light? And why do my eyes twitch sometimes? Lol i asked too much in my tiny three replies.

i projected last night! such a cool feeling. i think people can project if they are in lucid dream aswell if they start to focus on their body, havn't tried projecting in a lucid dream yet. its been a long time since i was in a lucid dream.
War-Junkie
i tried 2 project in 2 lucid dreams but i think of my body and close my eyes then i get a wierd feeling then lose consciousness
Kazuma
The weird feeling is good. To prevent falling asleep, though, you should try it some time when you're not going to bed.

ok, I didnt read the whole thread but it was cool to see how as it went on more and more people were able to astral project. I am starting college as a psychology major and am interested in the field of parapsychology. Particularly astral projection, telekenisis and things of that sort. I havnt learned to ap but want to. My problem is, I am a single mom and I am afraid that if I do I won't be able to respond if something happens to my son; if there is an emergency or whatever. And I dont want him to get scared if he cant wake me up, or if something strange happens. Is this something to be concerned about? crying.gif

This is no big deal - if something happens and you need to wake up, one of two things will happen. Most likely, you'll wake up. The second one is that you'll acknowledge something is wrong, but WON'T wake up, and then you'll panic, which should wake you up.

Either way, you'll wake up.
Sublime
I really miss the feeling of lucid dreaming and astral travel, i haven't had time to practice recently. About the emergency wake up issue, i think you can tell when something is wrong in the real world. I can remember astral projecting when i dozed off in the daytime and worrying that my dad would either see my astral form or try to wake me up as he walked by, so i went back in my body.

once you get astral traveling down, try flying straight up in the air until there is no ground. it's awesome. original.gif
Leah Marie
hey guys. ive been at this for a while now. i can finally go up stairs, but i cant fly!!!!! how do i fly? why is this so complicated? lol. can somebody explain to me how to fly? or bounce or w/e? wacko.gif

imbecoming dont worry the slightest think will knock you back into concious (i cant spell) it really gets annoying when your trying to project and you hear a sound and it wakes you up after you just spent 45 min trying it and your whole night of trying gets screwed up cuse some stupid noise well yea u get the picture. nothing to worry

I have astral traveled several times but never good enough to where I could do it at will.
I was laying on a matress on the floor one night and the upper part of my (astral) body bent backwards and actually went under the floor.
I could see the underside of the floor, dead bugs between the floor braces, cobwebs and spiders and such.
It freaked me out and I slammed back into my body with a bang that sounded like a cannon going off in my head.

Another time I was lying in bed, it was around 1 or 2am in the morning.
The next thing I know I'm out in the hallway and moving towards the bathroom. I went right through the bathroom door and although it was black with no lights and the door closed, could plainly see every little object lying on the counter around the sink.
Again, I slammed back into my body with the loud bang.

The coolest bit of astral traveling I have ever done you will find posted under the topic "timeslips".
I actually went back in time and witnessed the town and a couple girls as it was at the turn of the century.
If you want to read about it please find the topic on timeslips, as it was quite a lengthy and detailed adventure which I will never forget.

It's been a few years since I've astral traveled and am anxious to try your technique.
Thanks for the great post!

last night b4 i went 2 sleep i tryed to project i got really close i started feeling slight vibrations and i could feel my astral body slowly sliping out and i could see the purple and blue balls of energy in eyes then i guss it was because i dident sleep for a while i dident go farther it slowly went away so i said wutever good practice anyway so it makes me want to practice more

If I may offer my humble opinion on the matter...

I totally agree that astral traveling exists and is very valid and real. Some people have a frequency level that makes it easier to get out than other people. The biggest most important thing that I would like to point out is that you are fully responsible for your actions both while you are awake in the 3D and while you are astral experiencing in 4D and beyond. Especially regarding things such as sex and interaction... You wouldn't have sex randomly without protection in 3D so why would you do it in the Astral?

Obviously the Astral is a real tangible plane of existence that you are experiencing, so why are you not accountable for your actions there?

All I am suggesting is that using integrity in multidimensional experiences would be a very wise bet seeing as we are still at a kindergarden level of understanding the implications of what is really affecting our aspects of our being.

What is the exchange of sex? In my opinion we are all made of an energy frequency or energy signature and by having sex you are blending your field with the other beings (be it a 3D being or a multidimensional being). Just as 3D beings have STD's, just imagine what multidimensional beings could have? The point is that we don't know what is possilbe and it would just be a safe bet to use the same integrity that you would use in 3D.

I hope this hasn't offended anyone, I am just trying to express another viewpoint on the subject.

I have a few questions:
1) Can anything such as an evil spirit or demon take over your body while you are astral projecting?
2) How do you get back to your body? Is it possible to get stuck in the realm?
3) What if you were astral projecting in your room and say your mom came and shook you to wake you up. What would happen?
Thanks.
I've always been curious about astral projection. For me the question isnt "is it possible?" it's "why is it possible?" Why would God give us such an ability?

So im sitting here readingh throught he pages until 5. then I ckip and it's like 59 pages!? Woah, gues I'm not going to read much more of it for now lol.

Your method sounds really good, I have tried astral projecting using the monroe technigue but never got anywhre, I'll try yours though. I am a strong believeer in mind over body and thoughts so I have the attitude. =)

Plus I always try it at about 1-3am when I go to bed. Is that bad because I'd be more tired? Or would it make it easier?

Try some milk/water before you go to bed. (Is it a myth? Not for me grin2.gif)

1.No
2. You go back to your body once you lose concentration,so you really should be focusing on staying tongue.gif.
3. Depends, you would probably go back.

it seems to only work when you obsess about it before you go to sleep. Happened to me again but not successful. This time i had SP. But only half of my body went out, had like 5 goes. Was scary but i didn't let it bother me when i tried to project on sp, yeah i saw everything around me, even the time. Amazing stuff, blew my little brain away when my bottom half of my body went out w00t.gif

Have any of you ever had a feeling of da ja vu. I do about once a month. And I have as far back as I can remember. I have dreams of a certain place at a certain time. It is never the same place or time of day. It's like looking though my eyes but of a event that is yet to pass. Every one that I can remember happened within a time frame of two weeks to a month after i had the dream. Most of the time I can't remember these dreams untill the event happens. But the ones that I do remember I have in full color and sound.

Is this a form of astral travel? I don't have any control over what I do, I am just there after I fall asleep.
morph
I did the other day at work it was so vivid I could remember what happened before it did..and it was kinda strange because it was an out of the ordinary work thing so its not as if it happens all the time and I just remember a previous situation.

however this may be going off topic a tad...lol
Real-Time
Hi there all,

First time here and am here because of some intense lucid dreams I've been having. In these dreams I actually 'wake up" and realise I'm astral travelling and am fully conscious. I realise this and experiment with all the things astral projection is supposed to bring: ability to fly, walk through doors, walk on water, run without my feet touching the ground..... But something that is puzzling to me is the world I find myself in is totally real, but in a sureal way...if that makes sense.

On a nightly basis I'm attempting to consciously astral project retaining consciousness the whole way, but from past experience, wonder if the room I will find myself hovering in over my body, is my actual room, or a duplicate of my room existing in the astral dimension with differences. I know in near death experiences the subject will often be able to repeat word for word actual conversations had by living people in the vicinity of their physical body whilst they were 'dead'. This indicates to me they projected into the physical world. I was wondering how many here have been able to do the same from what's loosely termed an astral travel experience?

I think I've got the hang of lucid dreams, consciously astral projecting without falling asleep first is my next step....
AnalyticalThinker
Hello, I've been trying this technique of yours for about a month now and I guess I've had some progress, but I'm not really sure. What I mean is that when I try to astral project I can't seem to understand if I'm imagining all of it or if it's really happening dontgetit.gif unsure.gif. I can't understand if it's just my mind going off on it's own or if It's really happening, most of the time throughtout the day my mind always goes off on it's own, knowing that's it's just my crazy fantasies, but my question is, How do you know if it's actually happening? blink.gif Thank you in advance for any answers!

So did anyone complete in Astral Travelling with these techniqes yet ? Be honest please i beg.

i've done astral projected twice, and one half way through. both on the physical realm. the 2nd time i did it i took a hard look at my body on the bed
the Shadamaun
I've done what i think may be an astral projection a few times, but i alway thought it was something called "Lucid Dreaming" where you can convince your mind that you are aware that what is happening is a dream and can therefore take a more active role in it. The first time i did it successfully was in a flying dream. I knew it wasnt real, so for a brief exhillarating time i could soar around in complete control of my body. I did it a couple more times, all weeks apart, but the last time i did it i got caught up in some sort of brain fart or something and got stuck on the ceiling and couldnt fly or move my body or even breathe . It sounds kinda funny, but it was pretty scary.

Are there any malicious entities that you might encounter in the astral plane?
Can you locate other travellers' silver cords and maybe shimmie along them to find the travelers themselves?
Can someone inhabit your body when you're jaunting about?

I've heard you should be careful when wandering around in unknown places, but as for WHAT to be careful for, I have no idea.

Several people report not even seeing a silver cord, but assuming it exists, and all people can see all other people's cords, then I would assume yes, you could.

No.
