First of all I want to say that I'm shocked that every time a post theme that usually does not happen will suddenly have 2-5 topics at the same time. Anyways I've been asking my grandmother how to astral project consciencely. I love it how she always makes me answer my own questions. Turns out I have been aware and am really the one in control but let my conscience pilot for me. I don't do it all of the time, but a significant amount. Has anyone besides me been just falling asleep and starting to dream or at least thinks so, then all of a sudden you feel like you soul is ripped from your body then pulled back in so hard that your body physically shakes? If you were to go on, you probably would have a conscience AP. This happens to me about five times a year. So I think I must actually move into a conscience AP a lot.

This is really reassuring! I might be able to put together a UM astro travel group after all! Out with TK! In with AP!

I've felt that jolt like sensation you speak of. My advice is to keep a dream journal and chart , as you say this happens usually about 5 times a year, what your dreams are about (is there a common thread or theme in them, do they seem to occur around a certain time of the moon phase, seasonal flux, personal body clock (menstration), etc... ) . Dream journals, depending upon how extensive you want to make them, can become almost like a grimoire of personal astral powers , that one learns to chart and thereby control.

I have one of those compact book lights attached to the hard back cover of my journal. And at least two pencils at the ready, every night. (I've found pencils are much more user friendly if I'm scribbling to remember everything and make a spelling error or something later. I can go back, review and edit myself , no prob. lol) .

There are a number of resources to assist one's studies in conscious astral travel. Googling always provides an interesting read of hits and information. Also, you might enjoy the subject of Remote Viewing. It is in no wise a matter of dreaming. However it is a fascinating and true practice of astral travel.

I wish you all good things on your journey,
G.

I kept a jornal for a while, but then I found out I could remember in detail every single dream I have ever had. On the plus side I can add that I save paper because all visions do have an expiration date and I have a lot of them.

Yo that jolt you guys are talking about, is it the jolt you feel like if you were dreaming and you fall in your dream and you wake up all startled and everything. Cause this happens to me occasionally. Even one time i fell and jolted up but instead of waking up i fell off my bed and was still dreaming or astral traveling, whatever you wanna call it.
