I've been reading some of these old documents on line recently and found them facinating. Was wondering if anyone here knew much about them?

The Kolbrin is a collection of ancient manuscripts said to have been salvaged from the Glastonbury Abbey arson in 1184. The Kolbrin said to have a connection with Jesus historically through Joseph of Arimathea, they have been discussed online by James McCanney, Alex Merklinger and others.

I was researching in the Glastonbury ancient history museum and came across this very worn document written in an ancient saxon dialect:
"and verily from the east came the knights that seeked the grail and lo they found it in the lofty tower of the great wing of the tor and verily they spake, we rejoice in our discovery! and all then partook of a great feast of beans and sausage and flagons of wine and sweet cakes from which there gave much gas to which the knights spake in unison, aye that giveth much relief so sad is the arse that fauils to rejoice and all again rejoiced and vented to the east wind that carried them to their triumph!"

Its a fake. Its promoters are folks like James McCanney

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_McCanney

and Lieder/Hazlewood Planet X crap.

The documents from which it was supposedly translated were never able to be produced by the publishers, no ownership provenance and no translator. The publishers themselves put a "not necesarily historically accurate" (read: no lawsuits please) warning in the forward.

Oh my gosh I will have to tell my Mother. She has been reading that thing everynight for a month.

you are quite the skeptic. Some of Mccanny's work are slowly being incorporated into the scientific field. As far as this publishers warning. just where is that? Not that it's unusual for a publisher trying to distance itself from something that they know might be controversial. The people who came up with this seem to back up what they have here: http://www.culdiantrust.org/

At the bottom they say
"This is the official site of The Kolbrin. The Culdian Trust stands behind any information that is issued directly from them regarding their publications and can be easily recognised as being issued from them. Unless clearly stated by the Culdian trust, all other comments, interpretations and discussions are not necessarily the views of the Culdian Trust."
