I noticed something about Bloody Mary. When people say they saw it, they are almost always with someone else. Maybe you need two people at once?
My friend had an encounter with his cousin once. He had scars on his arms that dissapeared in a few days.

It's just a urban legend like Candy man. I dont think it matters how many people are there notthing will work.

I agree, I saw a show that was talking about urban legends and basically debunking them and that was one of them
Carla
It just makes a good scary story. When I was about 12 everybody claimed they had seen bloody Mary lol.

It sometimes works better because out of two people, one is likely to be more hysterical and prone to be overly impressionable, and the other person will resonate this irrational reaction. The "Look over there, see that figure?" question is probably the most obvious example of this kind of "After The Fact Sighting", as one person suggests to another that they are seeing something.

I tried this and after trying it I just laughed.. no offensive but its so obvious its not real. Its hard to contact a certain spirit in general, never mind just calling a name into a mirror.

Exactly.

whats the candyman?
SoLLiZ
candy man was a movie made in the late 80's or early 90's. it was about the spirit of a murdered slave who would show up if you said his name in the mirror a few times. it was a so-so flick, but the sequels were pure junk

There's already a thread in Urban Legends Bloody Mary/Urban Legends

BUT

Before you start reading the other thread you need to know this:

QUOTE

Mary began her tumultuous reign at 37 years of age, arriving in London amid a scene of great rejoicing. Following the disarray created by Edward VI's passing of the succession to Lady Jane Grey (Jane lasted only nine days), Mary's first act was to repeal the Protestant legislation of her brother, Edward VI, hurling England into a phase of severe religious persecution. Her major goal was the re-establishment of Catholicism in England, a goal to which she was totally committed. Persecution came more from a desire for purity in faith than from vengeance, yet the fact remains that nearly 300 people (including former Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Cranmer and many of the most prominent members of society) were burned at the stake for heresy, earning Mary the nickname, "Bloody Mary."

Bloody Mary was originally Queen Mary 1st of England. No bathing in virgins blood, no mirror ghost, no nothing.

Thanks I mainly did this for opinions but forgot about polls.

Sorry Bebi but apart from the shared nickname there is NO connection between Queen Mary Tudor and the Bloody Mary of Urban legends.
